Great video! thanks for sharing I rebuilt my carb and replaced the manifold It runs ok but it seem to have a pop pop at idle. can you help with that? thank again
Thank you for the video good job. I have a 350 Big Bear and while I was trying to start the engine it would only run for a few seconds. The small of gas was very strong. I removed the seat and the air filter housing and ¼ of the housing was filled with gas/oily mixture of some sort. I keep the machine in the shop so there was no water in the system but it would not run very well at all. After removing the gas and cleaning up the machine I removed the crank case breather hose and while starting the engine it was running a lot better, but the hose was blowing gas and oil out of the breather hose. The longer I let it run the more gas came out until after 30 minutes it slow down and stopped. After 1 hour there was only a drop every two seconds coming out of the breather hose. The question is what caused it and what do I need to do to make it work better? I did let it run for about 2 to 3 hours. Any help would be great. Thank you for your videos.
Thx for making these videos, really well explained and clear. I have a 1992 big bear thats blowing balck some and burning through spark plugs so will try cleaning the carb. Is there a difference between the 92 and 95 carbs?
all your equipment seems to run great when you're done! what do you think of this: i got an old mower for free. B and S 6 horse. the intake tube that feeds gas from the carb to the motor was missing. I found a replacement but dont have the gasket where it mounts to the engine. A little RTV silicone do the job?
Hi donyboy73, This video is so helpful! thank you so much for the tutorial. I'm having trouble finding a 1995 yamaha BB 350 4wd carb kit....Can you confirm that this kit will work MD03-304 12-9926? Yamaha stopped making carb kits for Big Bears in 92? I think. I'm hoping that one will work. Thanks for posting such helpful videos!
i have a yamaha big bear 350, it wont stay running, iv adjusted the idle screw various times and it wont stay running when its on it runs for about a minute then it like "chokes" and shuts off. do you think it could be from a dirty carb or is it somthing els internally? thanks!
You have dirty pilot jet and or clogged idle mixture screw passage. Typicaly for something that dirty you will want to fully disassemble and soak the carb and its individual parts in a gallon of carb cleaner. Not the junk you buy in a spray can. The gallon of cleaner can be bought at any auto parts store and will run about 20 bucks.
I have a 86 moto 4 and I'm surprised on how similar big bears and moto 4s are. Great and helpful vid!
