Cristobal Colon, which forms a part of the huge vessel fleet of the Belgian shipping infrastructure conglomerate Jan De Nul, is the Biggest dredger in the World and also the most high-tech dredger available today. At present, the Cristobal Colon forms the flagship of the company’s dredging operations.
It is a trailing suction hopper dredger, a type of dredger invlived in different dredging operations. Dredging refers to the activity that is carried out with the objective of removing the deposits that accumulate in the depths of water-bodies where water navigation is carried out.
The equipment used to carry out the process of dredging is known as the dredge while the vessel on which the dredge is mounted or loaded is known as the dredger.

@marineinsight Think we need 5 of the largest cargo ships minimum converted to land channelers so they can carve there way through the suez cannal in parralel link up & open up the alternative fork route. Like giant worm gear driven monstrosity's called the land breakers constantly churning the land before them up there fronts & cast to the sides? Adding vesels as needed for width requirements? Just an idea im no designer the closest i get is boats in a bath tub or lego in my youth. There was a plan to use 2 nuclear bombs per mile to trench out the route but thankfully they decided against such a radioactive toxic plan? Could combine panning for gold & selling sand to the construction world, its a design & logistics nightmare in my eyes but what is the workable alternative. Just letting the great reset wash us clean in world economic collapse? We cant all build rockets & atempt to move to mars lol. Its like humanity is doomed to row in opposite directions or something.
