6:09 was crazy to me, fastfalling from ledge took up precious frames to hit that back air, then recovery just half a second late he's dead to Cody's insane angle.
It’s interesting to see the ledge hop reverse neutral b Zain has been implementing as an alternative to ledge hop bair. Pretty sure it covers that angle unlike bair, but Zain didn’t choose it in this moment. Insane angle.
@@fupalover Cope. Cody didn't show much rust at all this set. He was nearly up 3-1 with a 3 stock in a game and barely missed any techs, offstage edgeguards he won most against Zain dude was hitting soft bair L cancel to dsmash on Randall LOL and his DI and punish was typical Cody.

Obviously stage position/drift options will dictate it sometimes. I just never use the normal forward dolphin slash in neutral usually
@hsk1778 you would think. But I've had multiple instances where I know, FOR SURE, I bounced, did not touch after, and then either flew off stage or was hit off stage and had a jump. And multiple instances where I've bounced and the EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED and I DONT HAVE A JUMP. It's gotten to a point where when it happens I'll mentally prepare and be like "I hope I got my double jump back, but who knows" and spam jump and pray the magic bounce happened properly.
Especially with how he's been playing lately with the raw F-smashes, the Up-B KO's and of course the Ken combos. Classic Marth, top notch old school melee with flawless new school tech incorporated.
@@TheBeggies95 by skin color do you mean the Marth being red? Anyways Ken himself said that watching Zain reminds him of himself. Now that is probably mostly Ken's famous ego but I can easily make a case for similarities between Ken and Zain's playstyles. They are both known to use non-optimal moves just for the sake of being stylish. They are both known to be far more aggressive than your average Marth and are both known for their combo-ing abilities. Zain has been using a lot of raw f-smashes lately which Ken is known for, in addition to the Ken combo and the way he uses the dolphin slash.
