Simple, forthright, truthful, apt. Loved the session.
Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Very informative video as always :)
Great! Glad you enjoyed the Q&A 👍🏾
Great question Kato and I couldn't agree more with the reply, that would have been my exact 2 answers from overlanding & camping for many years!
My life has changed so much since finding Travel Gigolo. Got the 4x4, got the tent, got the braai ( just like yours) and I went camping with trips planned in the future. Seeing more of the land I love.
That's amazing! Really wonderful to hear that! Lots to explore 👍🏾
Thank you for answering my question. :)
A pleasure!
Really informative and great tips on the absolute essentials. The small table is such a great idea
We try to keep it simple. It took a few trips to whittle our packing list down and to identify all our must-haves.
Thanks for the feedback 👍🏾
Awesome feedback thanks! Will definitelykeep a lot of this in mind going forward :)
Great! Hope it's helpful 👍🏾
Thanks for Q&A, Abdul enjoyed it.
Great. Thanks for your questions 👍🏾
Enjoyed the Q&A as much as I enjoy the trips
Great! Glad to hear that 👍🏾
Great feedback! Thank you
Great! Thanks for your good questions 👍🏾
Thanks for another excellent episode. There are very good camping locations in North West that are relatively close to Gauteng for first timers. Check internet for locations. One of our favorites is Manyane in Pilanesberg. I am "bossies"🐒🐘
Thanks! Good idea, we need to do a bit more camping in North West, we haven't been to many places there other than Mountain Sanctuary Park.
Good stuff abdul
Hope that answered a few of your questions 😁
Excellent video
Thanks!
Hi Abdul - well done on all the effort you put in. It is fantastic to see your growth from your early videos to now, you have grown into it beautifully! Excellent content also. Do you enjoy photography & would you consider any tips on that?
Thanks! Always learning, and hopefully getting better in the process.
We both enjoy photography. My skills are quite basic, I'm not sure I would be able to really give much in the way of tips that are anything more than basic.
I have the same two plate Cadac gas stove and agree, it is essential. I use it for most of my cooking as most times I travel solo and braaing is actually more of a hassle than quickly cooking up a pasta...
Cool, that stove is majic. Interestingly our gear has generally gotten simpler with experience.
Great session finally I get some answers to my questions lol
😁😁
@@TravelGigolo how and where do you book the parks and camping in Zimbabwe is there an Internet pagenliks SANPARKS or?
Hi there. We usually put the details in the description below the video. The Gonarezhou contact details are below the episode in the description. The other parks were a bit more complicated.
The other Zim parks we just pitched up, as there was a lot uncertainty with Covid regulations and timing. However you can contact Christina Mhuriro at Zim Parks +263772432148. She is very helpful.
Also Ant Brown via ManaPools.com he is very helpful and responsive.
Perfect 💪thanks for ideas. I would like to do a trip with you to Makuya reserve one day
Great, glad you found that useful.
Thanks nice video
Thanks!
@travelgigolo Once again Thank you for the great channel. Quick question. The silver shade cover on your tent ? Where was that from and is it easy to keep it attached and covering your tent? Thanks Dave.
We got the 'reflective tarpaulin' online from Takealot. It's quite simple to attach with cable ties or any other basic fastening method. It is a bit unwieldy putting it on as it's not exactly shaped like the tent. We haven't used it in high wind, although one probably wouldn't need it then.
Great video, very informative as always. Any way that you have a generic checklist available?
Thanks!

My significant other will set up a list for viewers of the channel.
Awesome, thanks for this buddy ! I enjoyed getting some tips from you. What editing software do you use ? What cameras do you use ?
Cool 👍🏾
Software: DaVinci.
Cameras: Cellphones, Canon M50, and a Canon SX50HS.
Will my Tiguan comfortline 4motion handle the Richtersveld? Some say yes and some say no. Thanks Mark
I don't known Tiguan well. From what I've seen it has reasonable clearance. Combined with 4motion (I understand this to be all wheel drive), I generally think it would be fine. My only concern would be if you have low profile tyres. That might be problematic for stoney roads ( it will be slow going) and sandy road sections along the river. If you have low profile tyres then you would need to consider whether you want to drive the sandy sections or go around them on alternate routes.
I had a freelander II once, it had low profile tyres but a very capable all wheel drive system. I would drive that in the Richtersveld if I still had it. Honestly, at the end if it all, it really comes down to whether you are a sensible/capable driver in the sand.
Excellent video and advice. Please could you advise where we can acquire one of rhe small tables you use. Nothing like it available here in Harare. Many thanks!
Glad you enjoyed the video. We got our table online from
www.outdoorwarehouse.co.za/product/natural-instincts-compact-aluminium-table
Seems they're out of stock of late.
Thanks for your reply. I'll keep watching for stock. Off to Gonarezhou tomorrow!
@@TravelGigolo just returned from SA with one of these brilliant little tables which were back in stock. Thanks again!
Great! Glad to be of help. Thank you for coffees too, appreciate the support for the channel!
I'm driving sedan car, I'm thinking of buy old 4x4 car, which 1 can you advise for me to go for?
Hi there, that's a tough question. Depends on your budget, of course, but if if you are in Africa, then I would suggest one of the land cruisers. Alternatively, a pick-up like a hilux, for example, is more versatile for other purposes as well. There are many other good options, but toyota has a good footprint in most places.
