- Overlanding Travel in Botswana - a self-drive adventure.
We end our journey where we were meant to begin the trip - the stay we missed because of the passport drama - Khama Rhino Sanctuary. Botswana has been amazing, challenging, and eye opening. Now we also understand a bit better why so many people love to visit Botswana, and return there many times in their lifetimes. Our camping roadtrip draws to a close with a thunderous storm on our last night in Botswana, a fitting end.

This series has definitely inspired me to consider a Botswana trip. But only in dry season.
I definitely recommend it. Glad you enjoyed the series.
Hey guys. Great series, wonderful insights , thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to the Southern Namibia series.
Was a great trip! Glad you enjoyed the series 👍🏾
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed the adventure!
great trip! glad to be able to tag along!
Beautiful country! Enjoyed exploring Botswana.
Enjoyed the episode guys! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I have to agree with you on the demeanour of the Botswana people in some areas. We found this to be true especially at some of the park gates, with Chobe and Khama being the exception.
Relieved that it's not just me then 😄
Glad you enjoyed the series.
My wife and I did a Botswana self-drive in 2019 and planning another on in 2025 this time our adult children want to have this same experience, which I can only describe as incredible. So I've thoroughly enjoyed your video presentation of your adventure, and I'm happy to say it"s almost a carbon copy of what we did in 2019 and intend on following again in 2025. My wife and I will continue on our own after Kasane to Namibia and on to Cape Town. BTW I'm and expat living in Canada for over 50yrs, the allure of the African bush runs deep.
We really enjoyed the Botswana trip. The wildlife reward was amazing, and I like it that the parks are not crowded.
Enjoy your trip!
Great and balanced perspective 🙌👏
Thank you!

@TravelGigolo I am enjoying the series thanks, keep them coming.
Epic trip! Lots of useful info. Looking forward to Namibia! It would be useful to know what costs are involved on your trips - fuel - camping - borders etc..
Will try and get a wrap-up episode out, like we did for the Zim trip.
Thanks we enjoyed your videos
Glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏾
@@TravelGigolo we say between Letlhakane and Orapa if you ever pass by com and stay over
Thank you. Appreciate the invite.
once again, fabulous! Thank u TG!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed this series 👍🏾
great video !
when we’re you in Botswana
Thanks! We were there from December into early January.
Your heavy metal music does my head. Great show by the way. Just sort the vibes
Thank you. Enjoyed your videos. Will be doing mostly the same trip in the other direction next year. Starting in Joburg and finishing in Vic Falls. Appreciate your honest perspective. What was the route you took from Gweta to Khama?
We left from Nata to go to Khama. To avoid going through Francistown, we turned off at Mosetse. Pretty good dirt road for about 50km, and then joins a tar road to Lethlakane. Not sure how much time was saved but it's an interesting option and beats driving through Francistown traffic.
Glad you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for the feedback.
@@TravelGigolo Thank you. I was thinking of driving the other way up the A14 and cutting back on the A3 to Gweta. Your way sounded a little longer than that but, perhaps a little more scenic. Look forward to your next series!
