According to XDA you can choose anything over S23 ULTRA😂
That's not the right reasons. Honor has way more than that. For anyone who used a Huawei, they would know. For me, the Magic 5 pro is the best smartphone in the world as an overall.
I als bought the phone, I am pretty happy with it. Amazing display, amazing performance, amazing camera and amazing battery life. Never had a huawei tho so what are those reason's that you're talking about? (auch gerne in deutsch falls du auch deutscher bist😅)
These all Huawei haters will have a reasons why brands always are better that a real better phone.

@@412Kamikaze i guess am a somewhat average type of smartphone user.. I use standard social media apps, apps for work, shopping etc and i use the camera a lot, its just extremely refreshing even tho my last smartphone (oneplus 9 pro) also had a quite nice camera experience. But i dont play a lot on the phone. With highest settings, highest brightness etc id say i have about 8 hours screen on time. If i unplug it at 7:30 in the morning i can easily get until 12:00-14:00 the next day. I can really assure you that the battery is beyond brilliant in my opinion. Camera, display, performance, design are brilliant too. Can really recommend it, really enjoy using it every day :)
I still have my huawei p30 pro, going on 5th year, no issues!! But still I prefer better camera, I was gonna go back to Samsung but battery and size scares me,but now I found this, I think i will stick to my huawei cousins 😂
Honestly the software feels a bit outdated with honor x9a released early this year still not receiving android 13 and no confirmation on how many years of support they get
Honor magic 5 pro will get 3 years Os updates and 4 yrs security updates
Still samsung offers one year more of system updates.
This phone is impressively fast. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and returned it for this Honor Magic5 Pro, and I'm not disappointed.
I bought it based on its DXOMark rating, and the photo and video quality are much better than the Samsung. It's also super smooth, and I love Honor's custom UI-it's clear and has everything you need.
The only downside for me is the ergonomics; there's a noticeable camera bump, making the phone top-heavy, and I find it too thin. A nice leather case solved the issue for me, but it's something to be aware of.
In summary, go for it, especially since it's cheaper than the Samsung.
But the thing is availability and software reliance

Does anybody know how the update policy is and the rom scene? Is rooting possible since it is a SD version
I've got the HM5P also, some of the photos that I've taken are ridiculously good. The problem with these reviews (pretty much all of them on youtube) are that the reviewer probably uses the S23 ultra on a daily basis and used the Honor for a day or so, you're never going to get an unbiased point of view from that, I mean in the main comparison video he said that the Honor doesn't have an app drawer or desktop mode, which is absolute rubbish. If you want a pen and better 10x zoom spend the extra £500 (currently) on the Samsung, I'm not that daft though.
This was done geniusly. The way it loops is genius; it ends with the word 'ask' and begins with the words 'why choose'. It's a perfect loop. Well done, XDA video guy. (Also, I really think 'geniusly' should be a legit word, 😅 )

The Honor camera and screen were rated the best for a short time on DXOMark. Picking the Samsung is just brand loyalty.
But the software features of samsung is ahead of the time.
I had S23 Ultra and switch it up for Magic 5 Pro. It's a great smartphone except for updates... Samsung release monthly security update when Honor struggle to do the same. For example, i'm on May security patch right now and we are in july...I hope they'll get better soon
EDIT : I came back on S23 Ultra ah ah ! Didn't enjoy the Magis 5 Pro as much as the S23 Ultra. Best.smartphone for me on the market right now.

I holding honor in my hand and with respect honor never compared to Samsung s series, it's the father of honor (Huawei) that compare to Samsung s series and fold series.

Both are equal lfmao people who don't know about phones are saying "s23 ultra is king" and "magic 5 pro better" both phones are equal s23 ultra slams magic 5 pro in features and magic 5 pro slams s23 ultra in camera,battery,display and performance both are equal cuz features=all
Honor has better shutter speed and better main camera for moving objects, better night camera. Samsung is oversaturated with unnatural colors
Even though it's unnatural, the Samsung colors look way better.
And I'll choose him, of course.

I'm using my Huawei P30 Pro for 4 years and now will I upgrade to Honor Magic 5 Pro. Finally they made a phone that can replace my Huawei
