I like how the last time on Blood bath, the prediction was also "this will be shortest map of the series" and it just never works out that way haha. Too risky to be the first to attack someone
It makes sense that the map plays out like this. For 2 main reasons: Pros are competitive and want to win. And pros are smart. What is the point of any attack? To get advantage. To win. There are no expansions to claim here, and any attack only has the potential to give advantage against one other player out of 3, and also increases your own vulnerability. As well as that, unless your attack is flawless and you lose no units, you are now at a disadvantage against the other 2 players, who didn't lose anything. The game could've been fast if one player tried to get an early kill for the extra base, and then the text chat would start a war over it. But that didn't happen so there's limited reasons to make a move.
LMAO Dan remembers how many minerals are at the EXPOS ON FREAKIN BLOODBATH LOLLLLL - I think everyone played this map with their little brother to score at least one victory in BW. I remember playing an ultra-long game where my brother had a buncha dark archons and no clue how to use them, while I killed him with 0/0 marines. Weird times.
This series has showed me the beautiful truth: that shit talking in the SC in-game chat is something that connects all of us, no matter where we are in the world. I didn't have to see the translations or be fluent in Korean to know trolling when I see it 😏🤭
I remember playing this one on my first game ever on BattleNet. Musta been y 2000. Died instantly to a drone rush bc I didnt know you could even do that lol
Bloodbath is the most defensive map, it always was. Problem is when you are attacking someone, you open yourself to be flanked by others, so you are incentivized to not attack.
Yeah it's funny how Artosis called it the most offensive map, when even I as a noob could see it would be defensive. It's basically a trench situation, where there's only one central battle area and everyone is turtling
I submit the best thing you could do is change the tournament rule as follows: it's single player elimination IFF you have not won a game. Right now, there is no incentive to be #1. Whoever "loses" the first map is NOT eliminated immediately; he would then have to be #1 in the next game to stay alive. All subsequent games therefore have an incentive to be not the loser, but also to be the winner.
Thanks for all involved for giving us these fun matches. Take well tuned pros and throw them into garbage maps and see what they think is going to work there.
A lot quicker than the last two? You should know by now that this map either goes blitz or trench and if no one wants to kamikaze for a potential knockout then it's going to be trenches. Because you have too much incentive on it, and it actually is fairly defensible.
Total recall was discovered wayyyyyy back like 2-3 years ago. You make a worker mine and as it passes the army you make it patrol and you patrol other units on top of each other.
seems like once mini was eliminated everyone was trying to lose in order to not win and get ganged up on the next game lol. like shuttle randomly GGing out of the blue and then light at the end kinda just throwing his army dumbly at soma. idk looked like some big throws, is there no incentive to win a map at all?
Not sure how feasible it is with different tile sets but it would be nice to have players keep their color throughout all of the matches in an event like this. Great games regardless!
With the patch that introduced all the new colours, you can choose a colour in custom game so it shouldn't actually be hard. Before the patch, the only colour that changed due to tileset was Brown which was Green on Desert and Snow.
I think I just became a fan of the winner for surviving thus far. That said, I think the players are planning to distribute the prize between them, so I bet the winner gets eliminated next.
I love it! I can watch this for an hour without any fight and still have a lot of fun. I just don't like that they do not care who wins the map after the first one dies, that makes it kinda weird :/
Can you not move your screen too fast or too constantly? I can see more stuff on the screen if you stabilize a bit rather than keep moving the screen too much all the time. Great cast nevertheless!!!
you can litteraly cover 80% of the map with a zoomed out camera, yet you are missing 99% of the engagements. :D :D so funny. But please stop scrolling like that I am getting sea-sick
Attacking player becomes vulnerable to the rest all players, especially when they communicate each other. So normally WHITE must have been attacked by TEAL and YELLOW simultaneously in the center......But the goal of this game was specific -- let other win, just dont die the first. Such a strange incentive stimulates players to choose next sacrifice by behind-the scenes' agreement. Kinda j(eeee)wish design.
0:59 "But do expect this game to go a lot quicker than the last two"
me seeing that the video is 39 minutes long "somethings wrong I can feel it."
The guy in the chat pointing out how Soma was playing the role of Kerrigan in broodwar, sowing discord among the terrans and protosses, lol
"Once again, I stand atop the broken bodies of my enemies."
Next tourney, make BB the 3player map. Use the extra base as incentive for aggression.
Fantastic idea, would make it a lot less turtley.
its interesting how in FFA, chat is actually part of the objective strategy of the game
Join NHFFA on Discord
I love that ending.
Light: get this
Soma: What?
Light: gg
The "CUBAN RECALL CRISIS" in the chat killed me.
LOL
I missed that, thanks.
Fucking gold
The amount of diplomacy going on in the chat was crazy. I wish I could understand half of it.
Soma is definitely 500iq fully expected him to get stomped first
I like how the last time on Blood bath, the prediction was also "this will be shortest map of the series" and it just never works out that way haha.

I've just discovered this ffa and its hilarious, I'm loving it! Soma really impressed me with this hidden army
What The Fuck, that ending was insane

"Why are the Zerg players so smart?"
Kinda have to be. Unless you're a macro monster.
Arbiters hitting each other with stasis uncontested, just what I expected on this map.
In this game artosis was literally a guy in the chat giving unsolicited advice to players infinitely better than him
Yeah the ego on this guy or?
Thanks for all involved for giving us these fun matches. Take well tuned pros and throw them into garbage maps and see what they think is going to work there.
if shuttel sees replay xD he thought light had MUCH more XDDD
9001 IQ Zerg
I wish Flash would do a Free For All too.
no one, not a single soul, thought zerg was going to win that.
IT'S COMING HOME, IT'S COMMING HOME, IT'S COMMING HOME TO CHAR!!!
Been playing starcraft for 20plus years Blood bath was always one of my favorites
Love this content artosis!
A lot quicker than the last two?

I love that they can just lean their heads over and check what their opponents are doing lol
Only Zerg, only winner.
"Do expect this one to go a lot quicker than the last two."
::eyes 39:23 video length::
Soma is the true Zerg overmind
Arty looks so cute with his wrist bands.
Total recall was discovered wayyyyyy back like 2-3 years ago. You make a worker mine and as it passes the army you make it patrol and you patrol other units on top of each other.
So wayyyyy back in a game that has 23 years is apparently 2 years. Yea allright fam.
that was a crazy game!
No spoilers, but I was really hoping when it got down to 3 it would be one of each race.
2:50, see 3000!
Awesome game - great ending! Gave me PTSD flashbacks to that map too!
I love how diplomatic they all are 😂😂
Early tap out by shuttle. He still had a chance
Wow Soma was genius on this game
Keep Blood Bath, but introduce the rule of "attack clockwise, defend anti-clockwise" and presto.
how is snow not in this
@1:02 This game took twice as long as the previous one, lol
You can hit the whole map with a siege tank in the middle.
BB is just a classic
if people played only to win and not not to lose, the map would play differently
i hope game 5 is on that map that is jsut 80% minerals
4 pro players troll Arty for 40 minutes : The game.
You have to rethink how you use term on the map😅
Shine was eliminated by shine?
seems like once mini was eliminated everyone was trying to lose in order to not win and get ganged up on the next game lol. like shuttle randomly GGing out of the blue and then light at the end kinda just throwing his army dumbly at soma. idk looked like some big throws, is there no incentive to win a map at all?
Soma is the future.
Is the finals for the 1v1 going to be on Fastest Money lol?
Why did shuttle GG???
For someone who lived in Korea a long time...you would think he would understand how KR plays.....super slow and methodical.
So funny they didn’t attack each other forever
What's with the intro pictures? Why'd they use the same kid for all the players? Don't they have headshots or something?
Terran is insanely op on blood bath:P

1 minute into the match: Do expect this game to go a LOT quicker than the last show. 39 minute video? Wtf?
LETS GO ZERG!!! LETS GO!!!
Mind Control would have raped in this game
Mini died to a slow and steady Terran push. They should have tried instead to be offensive.
I think I just became a fan of the winner for surviving thus far. That said, I think the players are planning to distribute the prize between them, so I bet the winner gets eliminated next.

Damn good game
These are fucking hilarious
BUFF ZERG! NERF TERRAN!
You just DON'T get it ...
Every one who rush are noobs - THIS is how you play this map on Profesional level xD
This is the worst game I've ever seen. Literally nothing went on.
No rush 20
Can you not move your screen too fast or too constantly? I can see more stuff on the screen if you stabilize a bit rather than keep moving the screen too much all the time. Great cast nevertheless!!!
Chat's pretty entertaining if you can read Korean
Flash would of BBS'd them all
bloodbath my ass lol more like slightly redened maxipad. Soma is a genius though so fun game regardless
The politics in chat be like
the guys in the chat are so funny. sad i cant be one of them often, bec living in eu Sadge
Jesus do Korean players ever stop typing, how do they macro whilst reciting war and peace like that?
let's fucking go!
One of the weaker games so far. Everyone just sat back and let Terran build up..didn't even try killing another player just slowly waited to die ;/
FACK
you can litteraly cover 80% of the map with a zoomed out camera, yet you are missing 99% of the engagements. :D :D so funny. But please stop scrolling like that I am getting sea-sick
Gg
On se fait un peu chier, non ? il ne se passe pas grand chose comme coups malins et fumants
I realy like ur channel but damn if this wasnt the worst game iv ever watched...

what a waste of time
Ah, a personal favourite terrible map
Artosis, Blood Bath is for noobs. Play Meatgrinder or GTFO. 8 player map, 96x96. Two chokes per base. One island expo in the middle. Git gud scrub.
