Usually I don’t comment with recommendations about another group, but I would really like it if y’all reacted to Kara’s Killing Voice! They are with DSP which is now a subsidiary of RBW. They debuted in 2007 and have had some lineup changes. Sadly one of their members passed away in 2019. They came back after 6-7 years in 2022. They have some of the best nostalgic tracks and some memorable choreography. They are also notably really popular in Japan.
Actually, Maria is Hwa Sa's baptismal name, or Christian name, her REAL name is Ahn Hye-jin. That is why you will hear the members call her Hyejin, or Hyejin-ah.
I suspect Sam & Dave are a slightly better known duo, at least on this side of the pond. As to songs about Dave the only one that comes to mind is David Wain is Sexy by the female duo Garfunkel & Oates. Check it out if you're curious but if you're not familiar with G&O I'd advise listening to one or two other songs beforehand as an introduction to their unique style. You like crack songs so I think you might enjoy Pregnant Women Are Smug and my personal favorite, The Loophole. Hwasa uses the British meaning of twit, she just doesn't pronounce it the same.
I really like Hwasa, but the was too repetitive: the dance moves, the lyrics (were there any lyrics other than Maria?) Her moves were great! Some of the male dancers seemed awfully young and I wasn’t sure that she wasn’t going to get dropped! She’s a sweetie to give the young dancers a chance to perform.
Did you pay any attention to the eng subs? There are a lot of lyrics, and every meaningful ones. Maybe you should actually read the lyrics, before saying what you did *SMFH It's astounding that a song about hate, is getting hate from you. Also, She is only saying HER name twice, the other "maria's" are actually other words in Korean that mean other things, and it's word play. Hwa Sa is actually a spectacular songwriter.
