Blower surge has nothing to do with whether it is injected or carbed.It is caused by the amount of boost generated by the blower.Smaller pulley(over driven) on the front on the blown will produce more boost than a larger pulley(under driven) which causes more surge at low rpm.
I wish I had a car to take down to Ocean city that place was awesome back in the late 90's before they had the car show I used to take my lifted 88 chevy stepside down to the shore it had 35's with a 4" lift and worked 350 it was awesome to cruise in everyone got outta your way and it was loud I had the gear drives in it and s till could spin the tires!! now I race dirt cars so I don't think I could cruise with that lol!

Blower surge....really prominent with medium to high blower drive ratios (fluctuating manifold pressure) and with carbs and mechanical injection......blower cams are typically designed less lumpy/ lopey than racing NA cams....less valve duration and overlap is desirable with supercharging / turbos.....blown engines rely less on RPM to make horsepower......
