Just bought my Nightster Special a few weeks ago...I couldn't agree with you more that this is a fun little bike to ride. I live in the mountains of WV and this thing is a blast in the twisties!
I have the Nightster Special and so far love it. There are a few things that need upgrades to make the bike a little better. 1. Exhaust 2. The plastic in the middle of the airbox tank, the tank itself looks great but the plastic insert down the middle needs to be metal like the tank itself with better options for the logo. They make a 66 medallion, but it's only option. I installed the orange adversary collection on the whole bike it looks a 100 time's better, but no medallion in the adversary collection for the tank box. Again great bike to ride, plenty of power, just needs some upgrades to make it complete. It's sad that you spend $18000 for motorcycle and then you are like now I have to spend another $1500 to $2000 to make it look right.
I've owned many motorcyclyes since 1967 of many makes and models. I currently own HD Tri-Glide due to my wife's many health issues.
Yesterday, I stopped in a Harley dealership to check out the new 975 Nightster but I was very disappointed. The seat was like sitting on a 8X10 plank of hard wood, the suspension seemed extremely stiff and the whole bike felt extrememly small.
I am glad that Harley is finallly moving into the 21sth century with the new liquid cooled engines and new bikes like the Pam America. But I was very disappointed with the Nightster.
Later yesterday afternoon I stopped in a Kawasaki dealership and sat on a Vulcan S. The seat was very comfortable, the reach to the bars felt just right, the suspension had some give to it, and the size of the tank was just right.
So then I asked myself, why would anyone pay twice as much for a Nightster when they are so UNcomfortable when compared to the Kawasaki?
Sorry Harley Davidson, but it I can get my wife back on a two wheeled motorcycyle it will be the Kawasaki.
I just bought a brand new 2022 Nightster, for 10,800 with all the warranties they included the S&S pipe and the sissy bar, backseat, and a jacket and a gargoyle helmet so with tax title and dealer fee it was 15,000 out the door. Did I get a good deal or should I have bought a special
awesome video. I like it!
Is this bike “975 Rev max” faster in a straight line than let’s say a 114
Street on no1 ever says how fast these bike r or compare them to the air cooled models
