    I'm currently looking at an E-Series, I see that your review from a year ago, how is your ceramic top fairing?

      Still use it 2 or 3 times a week.. There is a spot in the middle of the top that has seen some abuse. Not for sure if it's my issue with cleaning it after usage or if that's just the nature of the beast.. but still very happy with the purchase.. Also on a side note I sure do miss the high temp I could get the cold roller steal units up too.

    can you try Frozen Burgers and tell us what its like? do you have to use oil or butter or just throw it on

    I have trouble keeping the temp where I want it. Was making stir fry and meat wanted to stew, not brown. I have the 17 inch.

      I notice that when cooking frozen stuff on there.. It cools down some and then later then sooner the temp will slowly rise.. That's why I mainly use the 22 as I can keep one side hotter than the other side

      Definitely a flaw with this. I lose a lot of heat even from the fridge. Takes way too long compared to cast iron griddle.

    I'm debating between the 17 inch E-Series and an outdoor propane one. I have an older home and so one concern is if I'll have issues with the unit tripping my circuit breaker with the E-series. The other issues I've read that the E-series ceramic won't give you that nice char on burgers and steaks as well as the outdoor steel ones. Do you own a propane version and any opinions?

    • @CollinsFamilyAdventures
      @CollinsFamilyAdventures  2 года назад +1

      I have had both, but currently now just own all E-series. I have only had issues with tripping my camper breaker when I’m running the E-series, and air fryer together. But no issues at my house.
      I haven’t cooked steaks on any of the versions, just due to I like my steaks on the coal grill. You can achieve a good crust on burgers, especially smash burgers which is my new favorite to cook.
      You won’t go wrong either way as both have there advantages and disadvantages. I just think the E-Series has options I prefer rather then the Propane.
      Good luck!!

      @@CollinsFamilyAdventures O.K. thanks for the reply. Should be some Memorial Day sales soon. I'll probably bite the bullet and get one.

    I have a question I can't seem to find anything on Google. Does the e series not have disposable grease trays available to purchase? I know it's an odd size tray.

    Can you place a pot on the surface to cook gravy?

    • @CollinsFamilyAdventures
      @CollinsFamilyAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Yes indeed!! I use a throw away aluminum pan to make anything with a liquid consistency. Never had any issues.

      @@CollinsFamilyAdventures thank you. So no cookware though?

    • @CollinsFamilyAdventures
      @CollinsFamilyAdventures  2 года назад +1

      You can try. When I use the aluminum pans, I’m taking a chance on scratching the surface if the pan happens to move. It’s all about that heat transfer and protecting that surface.

    • @CollinsFamilyAdventures

      Not a good one.. I prop mine via the front pads.. I think Blackstone experienced some minor flaws in this first version of e-series that I hope they correct on the second version..

    I have the 17in E Series. No problem with grease leaking away from the oil pan holder. Maybe you did not attach your oil pan correctly? Redo your video and give it try again.
