    Awesome video! Bike looks amazing. Just purchased the brakes and bleeders for my 2017 R1 using the links. Looking forward to the upgraded feel and ease of bleeding brakes.

      Yo I'm finally doing my brakes and bleeders, I didnt catch in the video if you carried the o-ring from the old bleeder nipple over to the speed bleeders?

    Hi thanks for the r1 videos. Let us know how the brakes feel ! I actually installed a brembo rcs master cylinder, and I love it. Brakes feel great. I also bought the same exact brake pads as you but will install them in time.

    • @MotoViceOfficial
      @MotoViceOfficial  3 года назад +1

      Of course, more to come! The brakes are a huge improvement. I need to bleed them one more time just to make sure any air is out but its night and day from the stock pads. I'm jealous of your Brembo MC!

    What part of the world do you live in bro? It's cold AF here but by 1 o'clock I'm going riding and that's going to be a pattern for the next five days straight if my legs don't give out because it's been a while. It be 60-70 highs yea boyyyyy. It's a goddamn Christmas miracle

      California. It doesn’t get that cold but I’ve known of lots of wrecks from people in the canyons ripping on cold tires.

    Great bike and appreciate the video. What's your thought on the new brake setup after some miles?
    I picked up my 2021 R1 in October & barely got a chance to ride before putting it in the garage. I noticed immediately I wasn't a fan of the stock brake set-up.
    Waiting on my 3/4 system, GP1/R Austin Racing exhaust to ship. I've got the Brentuning flasher ready. Do you think you will explore the tuning aspect?
    I wish there was more content on our bikes biggest upgrade. Keep up the great work!

    • @MotoViceOfficial
      @MotoViceOfficial  3 года назад +1

      Brakes feel much much better. More firm and better bite. I definitely like the EPFA’s more that I have on my R6 but they eat rotors quicker.
      Honestly stock was a joke and it’s shame they were that bad from such a pricey bike.
      I just put on my 3/4 akra and the new video will be out this weekend. At the moment I think there isn’t any flashes out for the bike.
      I would do the intake flap removal with a sprint filter and block offs but definitely need a good tune to correct the AFR.

    How do you find the EBC pads and especially the rear one? Did you feel any improvement over the stock pads?

  • @dsd-downshiftdave8056
    @dsd-downshiftdave8056 2 года назад +1

    Stupid question
    Could you change the fluid first then the brake pads

    • @MotoViceOfficial
      @MotoViceOfficial  2 года назад

      Yes you can. I just dont like bleeding with new pads just in case fluid gets on them, they are toast.

    I will be upgrading my fronts when my 60th 2022 R1 gets here..
    I never use my rear brakes. 😁

    • @MotoViceOfficial
      @MotoViceOfficial  3 года назад +1

      Wow! That new style is super cool. Sadly they cheaped out on the fronts badly. I like at least some rear when I'm at a stop light or an incline.

    Any idea why the front has 2 different sizes? I ordered what you suggested a couple months ago but this still baffles me.

    • @MotoViceOfficial
      @MotoViceOfficial  2 года назад +1

      If you are referring to the speed bleeders, the front right caliper's bleed valve goes in deeper than the left. Front Right (while sitting on the bike)

    Excuse me. May i ask what's different between 2021and 2022 r1? Anything update of new model? Thank you.

    • @outquick
      @outquick 3 года назад

      Nothing, they the same, as far as i know. I did hear that the 60th anniversary taco goes 2000 RPMs higher but i cant confirm that for sure cuz i dont got that one, i got 2021

    • @MotoViceOfficial
      @MotoViceOfficial  3 года назад

      As far as I’ve noticed just the new badging and the fairings being gloss in some areas instead of matte.
      Apparently the ecu is locked down though.

    Is there any additional steps to bleeding the brakes due to the ABS system? Or is it just a normal brake bleeding process?

    • @MotoViceOfficial

      SB8125L for Left SB125LL for Right, SB8125L for Rear. Thank you. I fixed the description.

  • @TheBadMadMan786

    Perhaps the factory pads just needed to be broken in properly without having them glaze over? Perhaps the pads are too aggressive for the streets (needs more heat to operate properly).

    • @MotoViceOfficial

      Yes they are. The front left and back are the same. Front right is longer threading and a deeper fit.
