Thank you PowerNation for bringing back all these old shows!
Just like the old days watching "trucks" on Sunday morning!
I think the same bro ... but I glad to see this one more time .
Best part of Sunday with my dad!
Yay Stacy!
Ian Huhn those where the days
Still got this on tape
man these episodes bring back great memories
Ahhh the 90s, it was great!
One of the biggest reasons as to why I love PowerNation, full episodes uploaded both new and old. After motortrend stopped uploading full episodes on RUclips there was a big hole to fill and while I understand why they did it it still sucked but now I have this and I'm happy
Trucks was a very awesome show to watch
I have that same exact model truck. It ain't the fastest truck out there but she sure is beautiful and still turns heads.
Should add air date for these older episodes I love the old ones
If you teach yourself roman numerals you'll be able to tell the year at the end of the show.
MCMXCIX = 1999
psygn0sis if I wanted to know the year it aired I would have commented that instead
even the power nation tv website doesn't have air dates.
it does show this as season 1 episode 3.
so...., according to imdb, season 1 episode 3 aired on Jan 16 1999.
yea, It would be nice if powernationtv would post the air date.
@@psygn0sis it never made any sense to me for production years to be in Roman numerals. The year should just be displayed in normal numbers. Why don't they use normal numbers?!🤷🏻♂️
I thought I was imagining things the other day when an upload talked about the "new 1999 Chevy trailblazer" thought I'd fell asleep in a time machine lol. that being said these are fun to watch and I wonder where the 2 hosts are.
Stacy Davis has his own show called "gearz". He has a channel on youtube
@@TonyBrainerdMN Its also on his website, Gearznation
@@TonyBrainerdMN it's also on tv
@@TonyBrainerdMN it's basically 1 giant commercial where over the span of multiple years not a whole lot of projects really get finished.
Stacy David started the show Trucks long before the PowerNation.
He had the show for several years and built amazing trucks but when the production company was bought by Spike the lawyers wouldn't let him build his highly modified creations so he left and started Gearz.
Had forgotten about “Sideshow Mel”
Thanks for bringing back these episodes.
Yeah, Mel Fair actually went on to play the role of Nancy Botwin's brother-in-law on the show "Weeds"
wow...soooo much professionalism
A cable holding the lift rather weld a cross members for that
Going back in time, sure wish it was this simple again!
That motor and pump location looks like a perfect spot for a blob of ice to form.
So funny watching Stacey interact with someone with his scripted lines...
Looks better than my vhs quality I taped this off tv back in 98 or 99
Thanks RUclips
I’m looking forward to seeing that locker installation video
Thanks in a million. Great content. Awesome. Grade: A++💥
2020 wow Stacy David looks a lot different still watch him just on gearz
The cable doesn't hold any load. It's just there for the scissor assembly to rest on when the bed is down. As soon as it picks the bed up you'll notice it picks up off the cable.
These old guys really really gave a great explanation ,,, real experts in their mechanical works ..... great !!!! Satisfying Video !!!!!
Still have this on vhs
This show is Cheasy and amazing
Hi guys great job,! Where can I buy the kit from.
Hey did the same thing with a crashed snow plow hydrolic system.saved the 750$
Awesome fresh up grades to the Chev 350
I marvel at how the guys don't wear mechanic's gloves and eye protection, especially while working under the equipment and drilling holes.
It's no fun losing an eye, just ask a person who has one!
@Chuck Barnes Yes, you're correct too,..I never thought of that, but you are correct!
This is a time before snow flakes and pussys .
@@ford1979truck May you never have an injury like mine then.
Cheers, Ben!
Shows like "Trucks!" were so enjoyable to watch in their day. Unlike others like "American Hot Rod" that were drama based. "Trucks and it's sister shows in the "Power Block" line up showed straight forward how dos on projects hard and easy and showcased cool trucks like the slammed S-10. The good old days.
@powernation Can you give me a link to buy the dump kit?
Stacy is the king of trucks reason why I like them is cuz of him
Damn, talk about going back in Time!
Just greased my pin , well actually she did 😂
Wow ,it's June 2020 , 8 months after this video and the cost of the kit is $1,100 now almost 50% price jump
Going back 20 years.
I really miss those old style BF Goodrich mud terrains
This episode is old as hell lmao.
Im not use to seeing stacey david so young. Im use to watching him on Gears.
I've got to do this.
Where I can buy the hydraulic system?
Ha ha ha . I just installed this system and my install looks 1000 times better 😅
Do you have any information or ideas for a 1986 Ford F-150 with a shadow bed and a carborated 302 as far as I know it is all original
Is this bed lift still available. I would love to add one to my 95
Andrew Sommers Same here never knew about this kit. I have a 97 myself and would love to put this on my truck.
67kjek damn that’s much cheaper than I thought it would be
@@ryanschaff123 pushing 1200 now
A little pricey but would be nice to show it off at the car meets
Tempting to do on my 87 K10
Where is the kit link ?
What model and year is the red truck with the suicide doors they used to advertise the rugs?
Stacy still rocking the mullet
“ make sure you grease your pin”
that’s what she said ..
Shayn Sutherland ok boomer

🤣🤣🤣
7:36
lmao bruh
They show it dumping dirt with the bumper pivoting with the bed. So the bumper isn't really attached to the frame as per the video? Or am I missing something?
I did this to my 73 f100 also made it one ton 4x4
I've got an 88 Chevy Scottsdale long bed can I do that
Same kit is $1400 now!
Thats a pretty good idea is that setup do they sell it or were can i get that hydrolic set up
They still sell them. Just Google it.
does this also work with a Stepside c1500?
Throw back for Real trucks with stacy david
Stacey can handle the show solo
Y'all did the pickup but I've yet to see y'all do anything too a 1999 suburban 1500 2500 or 3500
Wow, this is an old episode.
1999
Old school
HI THERE DO HAVE A LINK FOR THE 1988 Chevy Pickup Into a Dump Truck
i love this show.
also, Stacey may be the manliest name for a dude. pretty sure this guy was on the truck show i watched as a kid
M G this is the truck show you watched as a kid.
Are such systems still available?
Yes
Stacey looks so young..... now I feel old.
Something tells me that cable on the 88 dump bed is gonna snap and just destroy everything
@@bigboreracing356 Found the Trump supporter.
That cable will break, just not from overloading. From individual strands braking to the point of failure.
@@bigboreracing356 S... T.... F... U...
Stevie wonder welding the bumper brackets
@@bigboreracing356 no you STFU
STREET RACER then why the hell did they get him to weld for them?
STREET RACER seems kinda silly to me...
STREET RACER I will never go away
I give that '91 Chevy 8/10 Stancenations for its great stance.
That's a red 1988 Chevrolet C1500 with Silverado trim level originally the truck was red and it was repainted in black
I’d like to know one thing and that’s where in this world has that Chevy been stored all these years? I’ve never once seen a Chevy pickup with that non rusted a rear frame! Holy wow is that clean back there for a Chevy. Every Chevy I’ve seen has rotted cross members , tank supports, shackle supports or rear tail lights wells rotted. She must have had a great garage life.
This episode is from 1999 and the shop is in Tennessee
These kits arnt too bad but if your around Iowa just come by Futureline and get a flatbed or dump bed with a good hoist installed there. I've done one of these on a Dodge and it was alright but the ones we do at Futureline are a bit more refined.
A little shameless advertising there
"Make sure you grease your pin!"
Steven M. They really liked mentioning that you gotta grease your pin! 🤣🤣
I didn't know Tom Hanks was on Trucks.
12:19. Is that a red jumper cable end on there?
Yep, it is!
@@regsparkes6507 why? I see no reason why it should be there.
@@bmstylee If you look closely , it's a ground wire for the batteries that power the hydros .
Think of it as a quick disconnect if one of the solenoids gets stuck.
Stacey David back then when he was in trucks
I remember hearing the theme song and thinking this show was gonna be good
Dump trucks need a dually wheel arrangement in the rear axle because of the heavy payloads. And there are entry level light duallies available in GM,Ford, and other US trucks that would be good for this conversion.
I wanted that dump kit on my Truck so bad.
👌✌️😎
tailgate should pivot on the top, like a normal dump truck does.
Almost 3k today for that dump kit.
Did they lift the bed off with zip ties? Lol
F me... I graduated from high school the year this was made. (1999)
me too
I was 4yo
I remember watching this episode
c/o 99!
Me too.
cuando no tienes en que gastar el dinero homy!
Ya handy should handle a load of dry leafs or a couple cases of beer.
guess you can't do it if you want to keep your tow hitch that's bolted to the frame
The kit itself is Bolt on. Number not so much. Not all of us have a welder.
Wish they had the senior silverado on youtube
I think they do
ruclips.net/video/wHjp4O8keqc/видео.html
750bucks???/ What year was this filmed in? 2005? The kit is 1800bucks today thanks to XIDEN.
Makes it easier to change your fuel pump
Lol Stacey with a backwards hat
Lol what year was this made?
The Trucks series started in 1999
@@ryantaylor2144 , good job, guessing you didnt catch the sarcasm in that huh?

7:40 bolt looked real dry
They skipped the part about unbolting the bed.... Ummm, that can be pretty time consuming, guys!
Anyone els notice they zip tied the bed up on the lift
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking!
Stacey dave
I almost forgot my 86 is 2 wheel drive and an automatic
Any body in utah who can help me to do this in my Ford f 350
Them tight jeans 👖 🤤😛
Was Stacey like 16 in this one?
Back then it was actually modification you could actually do now these new shows you need an mechanical engineering degree. I miss the old simple mans shoe not the technical new shows.
That's why stacey david left and started gearz, he wanted to show people how to do things at home without a plasma cutter, a lift, a rotisserie, etc. But all the producers cared about was ratings and they thought ratings meant having 30k in the bank to order an entire new car's worth of parts from Jegs catalog and LMC
Not one Grease zerk
LOL...air tools. So quaint!
Regular 1988 pickup with its original bed to a dump truck is ridiculous. Unless you change the bed to a dump truck bed hauler. That truck is useless 😒. You guy do way better thought processing than that guys. I love your work but you earned this" COME ON MAN!!!"..🤔
4:30 What's this guys name he went on to be an actor he is on Rob Zombies Halloween 2007 Remake he is the news reporter he shows up after young Michael Myers kills his sister.
