Teen has been setting up everything from the very beginning. Watch from episode 1. Who is the person that got everything started. It's been Teen initiating so many ideas. He initiates going to the Witches' Road, the clue for Jen's trial, Alice's trial, the brooms, etc. He's manipulating everyone.
He seems so genuine & kind though - unless Joe Locke is just THAT great of an actor 😂 (he is a great actor, I don’t mean it in a negative way) I feel like we would’ve at least gotten some shots of him being suspicious or sketchy if it’s been him the whole time, kinda like we did with Agatha in WandaVision. Plus The Road sets everything up, there’s no way he could manipulate The Road. I think he just genuinely got heartbroken by Agatha killing Alice because he’d gotten close to Alice & idolized Agatha - so he kinda snapped.

Yep. What I think is happening is that Billy saw how evil the DH turned is mom, and has now taken it upon himself to redeem witches. He sigils himself to lure them with a mystery. And then goes on the road with them. If you notice the road seems to be attempting to get witches to work together. To put aside selfish power hungry tendencies, and work as a coven. Billy has been spouting just as much to the witches since they started the road. He also connected with Alice the most. He is understandably angry. At Agatha, and the indifference from the others. If this is all Billy's experiment to rehab selfish/bad witches, they all disappointed him. I mean C'mon Alice was the only one to help Billy dig a grave for Sharon. And if he does actually need more power it's clearly to bring his family back together.
Agreed. People also think he just got his power. There is no way. He knew what he was doing.

That’s a good theory, I guess the problem is that people disappear on the Witch’s Road and are never seen again. But if all you have to do is step off the path to get back to the real world that wouldn’t really be true.

Could Agatha have gotten punished for having a son instead of a daughter? Similar to how the Bene Gesserit in Dune were upset at Paul’s mom for having a son.

@danyonamo899 I don't think anyone was saying there wasn't ANY male magic practitioners in the MCU or that it's a huge issue to have them...just that the Salemites might have had a Bene Gesserit type of rule of only women and its members only giving birth to daughters who'd follow in their mothers' footsteps. Agatha having Nicholas Scratch could have been a big no-no.

The bug in Agatha’s house in WandaVision episode 7-8 (pretty sure it was a cicada) could have been a sort of spy fly on the wall from the Salem Seven.

Teen did say in episode 3 that a lot happened to him at 13 and since he’s currently 16 that means his soul probably entered that body at the time. Wanda was still alive back then.

Could Agatha be a mutant? Born with the power to absorb energy? It's a reflex? This could explain the whole, "born evil" "they simply bent to my power" "monster of nature" dialog lines?
What if the mud is what transports them back to their own darkest pasts? They crawl out, work through stuff in their own scenarios as their own seperate trials then rejoin for the final trial to bond together and finish as a coven instead of as an individual.
Go through the mud to come back clean on the other side for a fresh start together.
Its a way to do flashbacks, yet differently
For each trial, the witch whose trial it is always is the one to do something to open the exit. I feel like this week's trial was actually the Teen's. He's the one to who asked the question to board, got the answer, says the name out loud, puts the pointer on goodbye, causes the exit to open. I believe saying it's Agathas's trial was a misdirect.
Why does it need to be more than the Darkhold?? They killed one Strange for just using the thing.
It doesn't have to be more than that but that's the obvious reason and they're acting like it's a reveal

He’s not Wiccan yet; that crown makes me think he’s actually being possessed by Evanora or whatever Agatha’s mother is named. We’re still in Teen’s trial here, and it’s going to carry over into the next episode.

@@DneilB007I believe this to be true. I don’t think they completed the last trial. Rather Evanora possessed Billy.
I think Billy is using Agatha's journey to either resurrect Wanda or find out where/who his mother is. Also, there's a bonus of destroying Agatha. He was demonstrating his power at the end of the episode and will lift them out of the muck so they can continue down the road.
Good theory.
I definitely think that Billy will lift them out of the mud to continue the trials just to prove how powerful he is and that he's not like them (only seeking power for themselves).
I think the blank title card in the credits with the hex over Westview is saved for Julian Hilliard. It would be cool to have an explanation of the Billy Kaplan/Maximoff connection in a soul plane type scene with him and Joe Locke. Would be a good send off to Julian too
I really like the idea of Agatha running with how she’s been painted as a bad person. I really don’t think she could control stealing Alice’s powers. Agatha seemed overtly sincere about it. Agatha used the same tone of voice and everything when she was begging them to save her from the ghost of her mother
I stayed off the internet because I couldn't watch until 6:30, and then when I finished the episode I opened instagram and the costume designer of Agatha was the first post on my feed and it was the crown post !!! I would've been so bummed if I hadn't seen it 😅

I for one hope they keep Agatha as a villain & don't Disney-out too much with the ending of the season. .... Either way, am excited to find on out.

I don’t think she left the kids alive from guilt but rather from the perspective of a mother who just lost her child because I’m still not 100% that she traded Nicholas for the darkhold knowingly. It would actually fit with her being mad at Rio for taking her son, “doing her job” if she didn’t know that the deal and exchange for the darkhold was her son’s life.

Maybe if you are not a witch and you die in the road you just go back to the normal world? It having never happened before, it would make sense for the characters to not know that loophole.

You’re forgetting the same thing happened with Dr Strange! He was sneaking around and messing with magic he wasn’t ready for. He was able to use the time stone without instruction so he was just gifted naturally. Even though nothing happened, he was chastised too. Maybe something similar is happening with Agatha!
I believe we will see mefisto in agatha all along just because mefisto was just released in Fortnite. Im saying this because Fortnite has a good relationship with Disney and Fortnite has released skins as a promotional thing in the past for other crossovers skins
Am I the only one who sees the hierarchy of the coven as a parallel to the hierarchy of Kamar Taj? And Evanora is an exact reflection of a variant of Baron Mordo’s rebuke of Steven Strange when he started messing with the time stone.

In addition to “The Wizard of Oz” and “Wicked”there is also “Oz the Great and Powerful” which featured an evil witch with green skin. The latter film being a Disney property that has a character named Evanora.

In Dr. Strange 1 they seemed to make a big deal that living extremely long was only through using dark magic so I doubt anyone currently at Kamar-Taj was around in the 1600s

They start the episode saying we are going to recap everything the know and/or have learned up to this point in the series, then spend the rest of the episode speculating and theorizing.

What if Wiccan wanted to go on the witches road to try and garner enough power to either make his brother Speed a real human and/or wake Wanda?
I think Speed was simultaneously reincarnated, but I think Wanda coming back through this would be very cool.
If they wanna do the Children's Crusade story arc from the comics and accurately they gotta have Wiccan and Speed reunite before they both reunite with their mother.

About the Deadpool and wolverine bit and why we didn't see the flashback from wolverine, for one, he wasn't there, and two I think that's part of his characterization, he was the 'worst' wolverine bc he didn't have a backstory like all the others Wade found. It was a way to make the wolverine in that movie have to stand on the merit of that movie and not any previously established lore. That's how I saw it anyways

Billy has a piece of Mephisto in him like the comics.
The Darkhold being destroyed freed Mephisto and other demons to crossover to the 616. It was a doubleedged sword evil in its on way but also a protection from more evil from evading.
If something can’t be explained in a few sentences, it can’t be the MCU explanation. Comics can be very complicated. The MCU must be very simple.
I don’t hear any You Tuber asking who is the father of Nicolas Scratch. Now we all know “Old Scratch” is a nickname for Satan. So it’s pretty much confirmed Mephisto is the father. The devil is in the details. Also, the series is ending right around Halloween. What a better time to introduce Mephisto.
Completing the road gives you what you want, if Billy initiated and is driving all this then maybe what he wants at the end of the road is to get mom back?

Regarding Agatha as a whole.
Absolutely loved each episode so far. Simple as that.
The movie with John Goodman rising up from the mud (screaming) is “Raising Arizona” it was their prisoner escape scene. Hilarious, but also kinda scary. 😂😂😂
Who in the MCU would have been alive in 1693 would also include the Celestials, the Eternals, Wenwu, the Asgardians, all the other gods from Thor 4, and possibly Dormammu, to name a few.
