Then there’s the episode “Flippy” where after Jimmy placed a “funny chip” on his father’s ventriloquist dummy, the dummy starts to consume Hugh Neutron’s mind in order to become more human.
And lastly, in the Glitch Techs episode, “Ralphie Bear Is Back”, not only was it a reference to the FNAF games, but it was about how Five wanted to have a long overdue birthday show with the animatronic Ralphie, but Miko was very skeptical because of suffering childhood trauma over being scared of Ralphie. (The only nickelodeon network that airs preschool cartoons for kids). But the main nickelodeon network, on the other hand, airs cartoons for audiences of all ages. Not just children. THEY can have dark moments because they're not airing on nick jr. People seriously need to stop stereotyping all animation as just kids stuff. Nickelodeon doesn't just make stuff for kids you know.

The Wishful Life episode is not for people especially CHILDREN who are having deletion thoughts. We don't ever want kids to think for one second that the whole entire world would be better off without them. I spent my whole young life thinking that of myself and wishing I was never born and now in adulthood whenever things are going especially bad for me I start thinking like that again. Crying, screaming and hitting my head saying that my mother should have aborted me when she had the chance (there are a lot of things in my life that break my spirit but my rocky relationship with my mother is the biggest one) and my fiance has to calm me down and comfort me. That episode made my dark thoughts even stronger when I was a kid and it often times gives me flashbacks now. Personally I think it never should have been made but I'm not out to get it banned or anything.

What about the horrendous Spongebob episode "A Pal for Gary"? It showed from Gary's perspective how he was repeatedly nearly slaughtered by a hideous monster that was supposed to be a new companion for him. But what's worse is that Spongebob remained stupidly oblivious during the events and at the end, he still didn't notice or learn.
There's also the Rugrats episode "Under Chuckie's Bed". While it was ultimately revealed to only be a sweater, what child hasn't at one point been terrified of the possibility that there's a monster after them?
There's also perhaps the episode of The Wild Thornberrys where Eliza goes into the supposedly haunted forest. Even without the creepy final shot of the episode and foreboding atmosphere, the real life wilds of Africa are scary and dangerous as they are.
And what about the Jimmy Neutron special "Win, Lose, & Kaboom"? There were so many unknown dangers the heroes had to face, combined with the fact that any team that lost or resisted would get their home planets destroyed, like countless others before.
And one final mention of Spongebob Squarepants could be the episode "To Save a Squirrel". While it may have started out as comical or eventually irritating due to Patrick's incompetence, it eventually became sort of disturbing due to the fact that Spongebob and Patrick became hungry and paranoid enough to eat each other or Sandy (despite her deserving a comeuppance and "survival of the fittest" be damned).

I personally felt it was good that Josh finally put his foot down in "Josh is Done." After all, the fact that Drake is annoyingly stupid and highly selfish and inconsiderate, Josh deserved to finally have some joy and good things happen to him, especially considering the fact how much stress and even misery Drake and Megan cause him on a regular basis. Perhaps it might have worked out if Josh had never even become family with the Parkers?

ATLA bloodbending definitely came to mind when I saw this list, no surprise it's number one

I'm gonna give you guys not only a dark butt also most hated/worst nickelodeon episode ever to air on nickelodeon no such luck the loud house It starts off with Lincoln, telling us that he doesn't get much free time Then he bumps into Lynn Making him go to her football game in which she loses and she blames it on him calling him bad luck Lincoln goes along with his bad luck to get out of all of his sister's activities. But as the episode goes on, they begin to reject him It even gets to the point where they make him sleep outside But towards the end of the episode, he tries and proves he isn't bad luck But as the episode ends, he is still wearing the suit Hes wearing at the game at the beach This episode Was to suppose to represents how you shouldn't miss out on your family things Instead, it represented child abuse And neglect. This episode got so much hate from critics Including me I'm surprised they haven't removed. The episode from the airwaves never to be seen again

If you don't know who's Butch Hartman he is the creator of the fairly OddParents Danny phantom and a few animated TV shows on Nickelodeon. I like his shows but him as a person I don't he gives me again creep vibes

It’s a wishful life wasn’t only dark, it was also infuriating, you’re basically telling kids to be grateful for the people around them who might be fully ungrateful with their own lives, acting unappreciative for even the kindest deeds even a random stranger might do for them
Worst part was when Jorgen literally had the audacity to show Timmy that life would’ve been better if he was never born…that’s not even dark, that’s just fucked up and mentally dehumanizing, shame on Butch for even making that episode
I get doing good things just for attention is not a good thing(that I can agree on, with TikTok clips being a prime example), but this episode could’ve been executed with much more actual care and effort with executing their childhood, it’s almost like you’re telling kids that they’re a burden to people’s lives
Rugrat’s did a better job of their version of the classic movie(pretty sad, but well done), people should be reminded that they are loved, not a burden
