    tbh, this old-style video is a lot more trusting than some goof with modern film techniques. When you feel like you aren't being lied to, it's a lot easier to follow along with what the person is teaching you.

    My platoon sgt. gave me that book when I went to nco school...after 12 Weeks I had become shredded as hell and was in the form of my life. Those guys simply know how to get in shape for battle.

      @@Rithwikthegreat Every single day during the preparation period and then several times a week during the training, depending on the rota of my training class and in addition to the scheduled PTs...

      Calisthenics is all it is! 👍😏 Not the fact it's a Stew Smith/Navy Seal workout but the fact is all the exercises he is talking about are bodyweight exercises!

      @@ceedee9381 the logs and boats are heavy yes but i think the point in fact is that its supposed to instill in their minds that everyone is supposed to be all putting out 110% and work together as a team everywhere they go on every deployment!! Seeing those individuals that can work together on a team and those that work better as individuals

    Simple and effective, we used to do all this workout in schools and gym in my country (Algeria) (not the same rep and rythm though lol) and then RUclips came and we thought that it's old stuff specially with hiit and fitness bullshit, now I'm really regretting that I stopped this kind of workouts

    Since this video was made, we have found dynamic stretching to be better pre-workout than static stretching which is shown in this video. I'm guessing this was made early 90's. Science and exercise physiology has come a long way since then.

    To many people make Fitness seem complex, its not consistency is Key, Look at SPARTANS, GLATIDATORS, SEALS all use body weight were extremally healthy. But Its a choice not chance you decide every day how you are going to attack it or is it going to attack you. Maybe you heard the power of 100, so you wake up feel like shit. your body is saying no, but who is in charge of you ? See The Brain Tells the Body what to do... Not the other way around so do 100 pushups, 100 crunches, Bar pulls just get and keep moving take control back. I Fast 4 days workout hard yes I have problems but I am IN charge of me. (books: Snake Diet, You are your own Gym, Convict Conditioning)

    So it is good to do variation of pushups. Thats crazy because i do regular ones then wide ones and do diamond push ups last and then Hindu pushups , almost the same as in the video

      It depends on your fitness level. 3 times a week is a good start with days of rest in-between. 😎👍

      I don't know exactly, but *very* high reps I think (hundreds). Personnally, I set myself a rep goal and I do it without worrying about the time it takes me. I take breaks if necessary.
