The time of registration and when you will receive the sms shouldn't be more than 72hrs, you can contact them with your valid number after registration to explain your situation.

Yes, an SMS will be sent to you on your biometric appointment. You could have used any functional email address it doesn't have much effect like your phone number. So yes they will contact through SMS as well.
After applying online and making the payment, they will send you the form to print and fill out, plus give your fingerprints. You will need an ink pad! Then you will PDF the form back to them, and when approved they will send your PCC online. My husband applied from Canada, and received his PCC online from Nigeria while he is inside Canada. The benefit to doing it outside your country is that the PCC does not expire until you go back! You can’t commit a crime if you are not there!

Pls, does the arrangement of name matters on the certificate. Because the arrangement of my name on my international passport is my surname, first name and then last name. I submitted my information in that order. The certificate was sent to my mail but my first name appears first, before my middle name and then my last name

Yes, your certificate will be available to download on your portal. Ask the police officer for details of your portal, that way you can download it when it's ready. It could be that the officer wants to help you out with it. Ask the police the police officer.

I would advise you to use the one on your international passport if you are using the PCC for a foreign process.

After your biometric, it should be out within a week depending on the process.
