Everytime we looked at the posters in Surrey, we prayed for girl's safety. This is very sad that she has been found deceased. My condolences to the family. After listening to her dad on multiple channels, it's very sad to see that police have failed them. They could only track the phone to 300 m and couldn't find exact location. When they got the phone after 4 days, they just kept on watching those guys for 6 days and didn't do proper investigation right away. News say they got a body on 19th so it took them 9 days for DNA test? Like her dad, I also had wrong image of Canadian police. I am very sorry for your loss :( Is there anything we can do as a community to ask them to take asian community cases more seriously? Or I don't even now if they deal with all missing cases like this way. Your family is here so you are fighting against this. Other punjabi kids who came from India who are still missing or dead, their parents are sitting very far to do anything about this. Please let the community know how we can all come together. This needs to be changed. Thanks!
It's only the police officers fault if they wanted they could have traced within few minutes. Even Indian police is better than here if you give them only phone number they can get all call details about that number within an hour who called or what message was sent. If it was some high official or prime ministers child do you think that they would take that long, absolutely not at all. If it was prime ministers kid I think they would have traced easily within 30 minutes or less. It's only just because we belong to Punjabi community. What's the point of having police and RCMP in Surrey if none can help on time.
We all need to understand that the policing system in Canada is outdated.Existing system was good to cater the needs of a very small community that consisting mainly of original Canadians.But with the induction of many more communities, the policing system which until now defend the rights of criminals needs to defend the rights of the sufferers.Insufficient and improper use of funds allocated to the police force is another reason.Since the police can not be omni present all the times, police needs to develop a network of informers.Government is taxing its public but not doing enough in return.
