Awsome idea, I have been playing with articulated flies also with hooks and tubes, but this I did not yet thought ;) though. Nice job AS usual, just love your vids. Keep EM coming.
I've been doing something quite similar on my bluewater and billfish flies for a few years, I like the flexibility a lot and the ability to have a really big fly quite easily. One thing I didn't like in this video was how the dragon tail separated from the rest of the fly between strips, I wonder if some soft rigging tube could mitigate that.

Bauer is the reason I just spent my last dimes on pike fly gear 🤠 so kinda need to win some fleyes, can't afford bucktail or flash 🤣
