This is beautiful layout, in a spare, eastern Montana way, with rolling hills and grasslands. The perspective is incredible with the way the background blends in with the layout so that it all looks the same size. I can understand why it was abandoned and then removed. A layout like that would be a full-time job in up-keep. Especially for one person. But it was beautiful.
Wow!! The title of your video reads "garden railroad" but your accuracy to scale still caused my son and me to wonder about the giant fence and buildings in the background. This was a great layout and we are sad to read about it being scrapped. Great Video!!
It has already been said many times, but I have to agree: stunningly beautiful! Especially with that backdrop! In some shots you cannot tell whether it is real or just a model gauge! Well done! 👍🏻
So great to see a departure from the run of the mill garden railroads that just exude toyishness. It's a great start. Your section crews need to get to work. Tamping, leveling and replacing ballast with a finer grade. But love it
Brilliant. It was very hard to tell at some parts around the track when the houses were way in the distance, that was actually a model. Great work. Pity its no more :-(
This is incredibly realistic. Rough looking track? Sure, but it looks REAL like you'd find it in the real world. It's not perfectly straight track, polished, without any signs of weathering like so many videos on here.
Best I have ever seen and I have more than one million miles on a real RR. This reminds me of The Wichita Valley Railroad now defunct, sadly. A very old historic RR I was privileged enough to make several trips on back in the day. Oddly neither this garden RR or The Valley are here any longer. Blink you eyes a few more times and we won't be either. This is a short ride people! :)) Make the best of it.
Awesome layout!! Look fwd to seeing some above shots say from the RC Helicopter...LOL No really, would love to see some runbys in various locations. Great Footage and again, Great Layout!! adding to my Favorites WCR
@DaleksAreSupreme01 Almost everything is made from scratch. Some of the large signals can be purchased and operated with infared but the hoods were made from aluminum sheeting.
I would have left it like that - it is fabulous the way it is - and build a new one next to it. Old and new together. For reminders! The old railroad, always with an old, rusty engine on it. It would have made a great memento!
If you had sound on that locomotive(s) it would look like for sure the real thing. The Telephone poles and the trackwork are outstanding. I thought it was real when I watched. Except for the lack of sound on the locomotive that is. Well done~
very nice , speed of the train and the spacing of poles etc and other scenery, also noticed the rock cut with the waste rock makes it appear as mosr prototypical, just wish my spellling was better
Thanks you everyone for the comments but I must inform you that much of this railroad no longer exists. The whole end out with the bridge and the building and everything is gone, the layout is much shorter now.
WOW !!! YOUR RAILROAD IS AWESOME !!! I LOVE THE DETAIL YOU INCORPORATED INTO IT, WITH THE OUT BUILDINGS AND THE OVERHEAD SIGNALS . THE BALLAST IS PERFECT ! WHAT SCALE ARE YOU RUNNING ? I'M GUESSING 1" INCH SCALE ?
I agree, it looks great, but runs less than great. I noticed several places where the track is severely warped. The gravel all over the tracks don't help either...
Growing up in Cincinnati, there has been a lot of track abandoned. This looked very close to the real things. Sorry you have to take it down. Visually, it is as good as it gets.
I loved this. I wish I had seen this in person. It's all abandoned and the track has been pulled up? What a shame!! This had the feel of a remote railway branch line in Colorado or something like that. I also had to remind myself this was a model as well. What occupies the right of way now? A Bike Path? :)
have you ever seethe tracks for european highspeed-trains like the french TGV or the german ICE? They are pretty straight! ;-) Anyway, I love this one here, beautiful!!
Looks like you could use a crew of Gandy Dancers on your tracks. Do you have many derailments? Wonderful scale and looks pretty nice. Did you say how much track you have laid down?
Amazing. You have a VERY big garden - more like a ranch! How long did it take you to build it? Looks like a major engineering project - and a very expensive one too!
I think I know your track's problem, too much roadbed, You need to take a broom and " Dust off " the roadbed material between the rails, not all the way off, just enough to see the ties, don't cover over them.
Dylan nice video, The Regal here from MyLargeScale train site. How many feet of track, do you run battery or track power rc????????? You are a very imaginative young person, keep up the good work, be talkin at you on MyLargeScale The BlueRegal
Beautiful, bet you had tons of fun building this railroad. 😊 Labor of love for your hobby.

Fantastic! Some garden! Looks like the real thing. Incredible.
Beautiful layout !
Very realistic track , i love the real balast, black balast in the yard, telephone poles and weathered water tower !!!
Wow!! The title of your video reads "garden railroad" but your accuracy to scale still caused my son and me to wonder about the giant fence and buildings in the background. This was a great layout and we are sad to read about it being scrapped.

if its a model ill eat a piece of shit

One of the most realistics layouts I’ve ever seen...
There were times I had a hard time believing that wasn't a real train line. Excellent job!
Doesn't get more realistic than this!
Great Vid!!
I thought the train was one you ride, but finally it dawned on me it was a scale model train. Good work.
Man...that is one of the coolest things I have seen...must have taken alot of work and time to build.
Brilliant. It was very hard to tell at some parts around the track when the houses were way in the distance, that was actually a model. Great work. Pity its no more :-(
BEautiful. Also the fact that the weather is not perfect helps. Weathered... This is one of the best I have ever seen!!!
What a wonderful garden railroad. Great work. I like it so much.
This is incredibly realistic. Rough looking track? Sure, but it looks REAL like you'd find it in the real world. It's not perfectly straight track, polished, without any signs of weathering like so many videos on here.
To this date, I'm convinced it's a 1:1 scale model.
Very nice. You even get a little pucker factor in some spots - I kept waiting for the air to go !
Awesome line-side features, great run - amazing video, one of the best garden RR vids on youtube!
"this railroad was scrapped" what a shame it was so nice!
No it was not.
@@KandiKlover you clicked on a video of a garden railroad and you got a garden railroad what did you expect
Looks realistic, & to scale. I thought I was in the S.W. Thanks for sharing.
The biggest layout that Ihave seen, cheers Fabrizio
impressive piece of work

great layout so natural
Very impressive garden railway. Such a long and interesting track.
Thank you for showing this video...
This looks so incredibly real, awesome!
Wow what a ride, great railway, 2' ft gauge I guess, what a shame it's no more.
Very nicely done. It's such a shame it's no more. Hope you build another one.
Great railway. Some really nice features.
Awesome layout!!
Look fwd to seeing some above shots say from the RC Helicopter...LOL
No really, would love to see some runbys in various locations.
Great Footage and again, Great Layout!! adding to my Favorites
WCR
very nice garden railroad..
Hello from Kansas🇺🇸
THIS IS SO REALISTIC ITS UBLEIVABLE
nice touch with the cattleguard, havent seen that before on this scale
Really awesome
The harsh Lay-out conditions do have an unique Charme
wow, its been years since I see your video. My GRR is changed into 1" scale .
@DaleksAreSupreme01 Almost everything is made from scratch. Some of the large signals can be purchased and operated with infared but the hoods were made from aluminum sheeting.
That's a very realistic scenic backdrop - oh, wait a minute...
z
What does "z" mean?
I would have left it like that - it is fabulous the way it is - and build a new one next to it. Old and new together. For reminders!
The old railroad, always with an old, rusty engine on it. It would have made a great memento!
The demise of any railroad is a tragedy.
Vary COOL!!! Nice lay out. I worked on live steam lay out in Fairfax CA.
WTF!! THAT is really GREAT WORK!!
Not perfect and not bad- just awensome
If you had sound on that locomotive(s) it would look like for sure the real thing. The Telephone poles and the trackwork are outstanding. I thought it was real when I watched. Except for the lack of sound on the locomotive that is. Well done~
Wow better than the roller coaster of death in USA.
Nice Video Man New Subscriber liked the video awesome train layout
Wow, very good railway. I want one for transport my G.I.JOE vehicles collection.
OMG it looks damn real!!
very nice , speed of the train and the spacing of poles etc and other scenery, also noticed the rock cut with the waste rock makes it appear as mosr prototypical, just wish my spellling was better
I just wanted to say how nice it was of your neighbors to build their houses to your scale. !!??
awww man....i wish i could have it........
Very impressive, must have taken you a long time to lay all the track down.
its not a model you assholes
Thanks you everyone for the comments but I must inform you that much of this railroad no longer exists. The whole end out with the bridge and the building and everything is gone, the layout is much shorter now.
Wow. How did that manage to stay in the rails? Looked like a garden rollercoaster in some places. Still fun to watch though. Always love cab views. 🙂
WOW !!! YOUR RAILROAD IS AWESOME !!!
I LOVE THE DETAIL YOU INCORPORATED
INTO IT, WITH THE OUT BUILDINGS AND
THE OVERHEAD SIGNALS . THE BALLAST
IS PERFECT ! WHAT SCALE ARE YOU
RUNNING ? I'M GUESSING 1" INCH SCALE ?
I agree, it looks great, but runs less than great. I noticed several places where the track is severely warped. The gravel all over the tracks don't help either...
Nice
yeah, the trackage is impressive, if you just slow your train down, it wouldn’t look so much like a carnival ride.
Growing up in Cincinnati, there has been a lot of track abandoned. This looked very close to the real things. Sorry you have to take it down. Visually, it is as good as it gets.
thats an enormous house!!..... oh wait
How many times did the train derail in this video?
Ludwig Landsted yeah the track was warped bad. Does the heat make a the track stretch and bind up? If so that would explain alot
@@nsrailroader24095 nah just a crappy setup and never cleaned much.
Parece real. a perspectiva ficou muito boa
Cool

have you ever seethe tracks for european highspeed-trains like the french TGV or the german ICE?
They are pretty straight! ;-)
Anyway, I love this one here, beautiful!!
Ah okay. Still that's pretty awesome layout. I still keep thinking it's a real railroad ^^
great line-side details.
track looks like it could use work in some spots, rather wavy, I'd at least run slower, I wish i could build one this big!
Looks like you could use a crew of Gandy Dancers on your tracks. Do you have many derailments? Wonderful scale and looks pretty nice. Did you say how much track you have laid down?
ぁぁ、気が遠くなりそうなほど贅沢ですわね。
でもこれはお金があっても愛がないと作れませんわね。
ほとんどのシーンが本物に見えますわよ。
Amazing. You have a VERY big garden - more like a ranch! How long did it take you to build it? Looks like a major engineering project - and a very expensive one too!
Scrapped Oh man to bad that was a great rr
That is one dodgey railroad hahaah awsome
Seriously what is there to dislike about this video?
WOW
@mountainlova1009 Looks like a good tamping and surfacing job is in store!
@DaleksAreSupreme01 the ballast is harvested from a granite outcropping about 15 miles from my house
this is too much realistic man
How is it so damn realistic though
Nice, but that house @1:50 is WAY out of scale...
STAN R Wait for it....
is the rocks under ur track not have cement glue to keep them off the track im suprised it didnt derail, nice view of the mountains.
I think I know your track's problem, too much roadbed, You need to take a broom and " Dust off " the roadbed material between the rails, not all the way off, just enough to see the ties, don't cover over them.
Love to see the train goo g around too....I would have agree that track needs a makeover....lol where is this at....down south? I'm in N.Y.....
built them from scratch out of styrene
some size fecking garden
at least your in the country
This almost look real
Abandoned! Say it ain't so!!
Worse.... Scrapped! 😢
It's not a steam locomotive, it was a goose
400 feet bro!
@dylanfreeski123
Thank you for the answer. And what does make a cattle guard?
Wenn ich nicht wüsste, das es eine Gartenbahn ist. Hätte ich geglaubt das es eine richtige Eisenbahn sei.
Where is it located on the map ?
iya cool bro
Dylan nice video, The Regal here from MyLargeScale train site. How many feet of track, do you run battery or track power rc????????? You are a very imaginative young person, keep up the good work, be talkin at you on MyLargeScale The BlueRegal
How many chinese laborors did you have laying down the tracks?
koelschwolf only one..
And only a dozen derailments lol. Who needs M.O.W.
Do you still have derailment problems? and WFT!!!!!! What do you have like a F**kin shrink ray or sometin? Looks so real!!!
Slow orders needed, fire the road master.
