- Here's an older video I'm posting up again because the first one didn't get the rounds. Hopefully now with Qui-Gon Jinn having shown up in Kenobi, it'll reach more people. I love this little side quest story from The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon is hilarious and a stud.

First
Third
Tis said Qui-Gon is hung like a Rhino. The third leg of thruth.
Lol
What if Ashoka went to Mandalore with Obi-Wan and Anakin?
Little did Anakin know, in 32 years his future son in law would shoot Greedo.
Greedo died as he lived: appearing for 2 minutes and speaking gibberish. May he rest in maclunkey.
I personally think that Qui-Gon will do whatever it takes to obey the Will of the Force, whereas Jedi who live by the rules, will do whatever they can as long as it’s by their own code. Qui-Gon doesn’t mind breaking a few rules as long as its moral. You can say cheating with the chance cube wasn’t entirely moral, but in the over all picture he was trying to free a slave, which I would think is moral.
But then, wouldn't it go against the will of the force? I would think it's the force that choose the outcome of the rolling dice. Bending it to his would then seems selfish and against the force 🤔
@@mamienovacuisine Qui-Gon rolled the dice. He made his own choices to do so. In the end it was the Will of the Force for Anakin to be found, so he could bring balance to the Force and if it took cheating at a gambling game to do so, then Qui-Gon was prepared to do so.
@@11bluekitkats How do you know? It’s not like he’s using the Dark Side.
I like Qui-Gon because he had the tendency of bending the rules, which made him an interesting character. A loveable rogue of the Jedi council. Above all else he was a father figure to Anakin and Obi-Wan. I was bought up on the original trilogy, but love the prequels. I can imagine you looking up to Qui-Gon’s character when watching The Phantom Menace, Theory.
8:11 I always assumed, from the first time I watched the movie, that Watto's chance cube was loaded. Hence his shock when the outcome isn't as he wanted. So in a way, Qui-Gon manipulating it was just a counter-cheat 😂
spot on, i thought the very same thing, it's written all over wattos face when it lands in favour of Qui-Gon.
@Invalidcookie This is my sort of stance. Also, the Force connected Qui-Gonn there so perhaps it knew that Qui-Gonn was the right person for this because his traits were the exact right ones. If it was Obi-Wan, he would have left him there, and so would every other Jedi on the Council.
It feels weird to have the normal vids back, but I'm here for them! Love the comic videos! Thanks for the content theory!!
Bro Qui Gon is such a unique character, I really wish we could have seen more of him in the movies or shows. I really hope we get to see him return.
Kenobi season 2👀
I have to admit the more I hear you talk and explain the more I like qui-gon the amount of passion is the difference I’ve seen between the Jedi and the sith
Arguably my favorite Jedi of all time. I love Neeson’s performance in Episode 1 and his character’s compassion and way of thinking with true force
The Jedi Council and the Code feels so archaic and old-worlded. Qui-Gon seemed much more of a free-thinking Jedi more set on morality than the others. He's certainly one of my favorites, and even more so after hearing this story.
The fact that Anakin was made fun of for BEING A SLAVE just never sat right with me. Like even the younglings in the temple sneered about it.
God whenever I watch the Zygerria arc it's so satisfying seeing Anakin just slice up slavers left and right when it all goes to hell getting the Togrutas out. If there was one fault with CW it was we never had any epilogues to the arcs. It's just like "here's a thing and we move on" like imagine seeing a fallout to the Umbara arc, or the slaver arc you know that had to be traumatizing to Ahsoka...the Deception arc too I'd have liked to see just a little more time devoted to Ahsoka Tano's thoughts on Obi-Wan's deception. He literally "died" in her arms again...traumatizing stuff.
Yeah slavery sucks...
@@CryptomanXADVENT it's not great
considering the clone army were slaves no wonder the republic were so okay with it. Surprised they even went to Zygerria.
@@cinderfeather yup
@@CryptomanXADVENT ask Leia about it…
We would never see enough of qui-gon. I know skywalkers are the center of this era .... but they added so much awesome and deep character with the prequels ... so many stories untold
You wouldn’t be able to make your future kids fall asleep because the bedtime stories are going to be so entertaining.
If you want kids that is.
Qui Gon Jinn's cameo in Obi-Wan Kenobi was the definitive of the series.
Yes, his guest appearance will always be satisfying!
Bruh…that miiiight be overstating it
Lol a 5 second cameo 🤣 yer right
Qui Gon is the Jedi we NEED, but don't deserve. Always been such an interesting character!
Qui-Gon became and still is my favorite to this day. "I will do what I must", when questioned by Obi. Having a seat on the council and all the other perks of being a master held no sway for him. Doing what the force wanted was paramount. From his point of view, to me, was how the Jedi should have conducted their order. Makes him the best for me. And, how could Qui-Gon not be awesome with Liam Neeson portraying him?
Qui Gon is one of my favourite characters, I was watching The Phantom Menace today and it's just so good. Anyways awesome video man :)
and I love your story Star Wars Theory. Much love you Absolute Star Wars Gangster. I love every video you put out homie!!!
Qui-Gon Gin is your worst impression lmao I love it. No hate you have so many great impressions this one just made me laugh when I heard it
I appreciate the trolls voice being done by Leprechaun. Legend.
Qui Gon Jin is, my opinion, the symbol of wisdom among all the Jedi. he is my favorite character in Star Wars.
first time ever hearing this story about Qui-Gon. i Enjoyed listening to it. Qui-Gon is a unique Jedi in his own way
Again its been said millions of times…
Crazy to think that little child becomes Darth fucking Vader 🚨
What Qui-gon was trying to say is that those with power have the power to defend themselves and should hold back a bit because it could lead to being power hungry and thinking you are better than others. While for those without power are in need of saving. And those with power should help those without it. Literally being the difference between someone like Superman and Homelander.
"With great power comes great responsibility."
Love your videos and your heart! Feels like we’ve been friends for years lol don’t stop being you ❤️🔥 much love
Nice video! Miss Qui-Gon already.
I feel like qui gon would’ve been the type of dude who would take anakin to the coruscant casinos to win some money to buy his mother and free her. He manipulated the dice and anakin was able to see what the tablet was showing when mace windu was testing him, those are useful tricks for poker and roulette, if star wars has anything similar to those games
Love this story & you really did it justice!
Qui-Gon was Humble, Approachable and Credible.
Just listened to the Audiobook of Phantom Menace. It ADDS SO MUCH to Qui-Gon.
This is a great video dude I loved it great job man
Another reason why Qui-Gon Jinn is my favorite Jedi.
Beautiful, I love Qui Gon so much, thanks for this video Theory!
qui gon was a rebel even to the jedi order. he was a true master not putting restrictions on his padawan. but placing options. maybe his lesson was more of one based on intent.
Qui-Gon had way more experience in training young padawans, maybe that is why he instantly had a special bond with Annie
More videos like this and more Qui Gon please!
After watching this video
Qui-Gon Jinn is now one of my favorite Jedi
Next step: Learn how to spell his name
@@rq4740 wydm…oh shit.
Love these comics as well, it’s easier and more enjoyable to listen to u tell them, with little facts about Star Wars in it too. 🙏
That Qui-Gon voice sounds hilarious lol
I would love to see a Star Wars - What if animated show like the one from Marvel, showing in one episode precisely Anakin's alternate life if Qui-Gon hadn't died and had the opportunity to train him to be a Jedi Knight, just as he wanted to.
Love these comic type videos theory! Awesome job.
the original title of this video i saw on my notifications was funny.
Qui Gon is A Legend 💚 Thanks for bringing this back up General Theory 🤘
Nice. I liked this a lot. Good work here.
Yo, this storyline has got to be the most memorable one we ever got with Qui-gon whether it's Canon or Legends. I always admire how badass he is as a Jedi, and how wise he is as one despite not being a apart of the Jedi council.
Just shows how different it would have been had Qui-gon trained Anakin rather than Obi-wan
I believe letting Obi-Wan train Anakin was one of the Jedi's biggest mistakes. Kenobi was just made a Jedi Knight and he wasn't ready yet for his own Padawan. He needed more experience before taking one on. He needed one of the more experienced Jedi to train Anakin and helped him with his emotions.
You should cover the story of Xanatos! Qui-Gon’s first apprentice :)
Loved this! Thanks Theory
Qui Gon, a very important man, R.I.P, man.
I’d love to get a series just dedicated to this Specimen
Qui-gon was very smart and he would have been a amazing master
Qui Gon jinn is one of my favorite Jedi
What I would love to see in the ahsoka show is anakins ghost apear to her to look out for luke or shes hit a low point and he appears
Quigon acted on what he believed first and the Force second. He believed Anakin was The Chosen One….But for a long time everyone wasn’t sure of that, it was always questioned. But Quigon believed it regardless of what others thought.
Love Qui-Gon stories and I hope we get more Liam XD
I remember watching these years back!!!
To think the Emperor feared this man, I guess it only makes sense because Quigon was the only Jedi who had common sense!
Qui Gon is the greatest character in Star Wars and my role model. I hope to be as strong and as wise as him one day.
I hate how much I love these videos 🤣
great video dude
Oh god I can’t believe that that’s the word tolerance in
I don’t remember them having bombs inside them. I loved learning more about Qui Gon and this story.
Not bombs but trackers that allowed slave masters found slaves and kill if needed. That's why slaves cannot escape planet.
I laughed my ass off when I seen the clip of you crying to a 5 second cameo of qui-gon lol
You should do a story of what if anakin never went to the dark side, what kind of Jedi he would become!
Love this story too man it made me love Qui Gon all the more!! May The Force Be With You.
I love Qui-Gon like you do and love your older videos on him Theory! I think his is the only death in Star Wars that really sucked for me, especially as a kid, even though we knew it would happen at some point.
Very much enjoyed this video .. had me a thought after seeing this.. wouldn't it be cool for master & apprentice to be brought to live action in S2 of Kenobi with a mixture in of some Kenobi legends .. interesting hmmmm... yeah all of their conflicting choices made that boy into more of what he already was when Qui-Gon found him . U should have the fan fiction brought up of this theory ... thank you for showing this
"Must be local workers."
“I think the term, is slaves.”
“Can’t be, an operation this large? The Republic wouldn’t stand for this, they’d shut the place down.”
Yeah remind me again why the Republic are the good guys?
Desert world in the outer rim, why would they care? Lol
They’re referring to Kessel
@@rq4740 not only that but Zygerria also had slaves. Slaves on Tatooine, slaves on Kessel, slaves on Zygerria GOD DAMN Republic wtf
@@TheRibottoStudios also the clone army themselves were essentially slaves. no wonder they were so okay with slavery.
great video. Agree that Anakin would have quite likely turned out different if he was trained by Qui-Gon, which is why I'm surprised you didn't bring up why the song Duel of the Fates is named so.
You are such a good voice actor
Always the best
You pick your battles or you lose the war.
a really nice Story.. shows what a Man he was.
I love this bit story.
Qui-Gon personified what a true Jedi is; far better than Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, or even Yoda. What made him different from all other Jedi was his ability to stay away from dogma, which gets misconstrued as him being a "rebel". He's not; he's a true Jedi.
I would LOVE to see a live action series on Disney, about a young qui-gon becoming the Jedi we love today. By far my favourite Jedi. Obviously a younger actor will have to step in, and I would love to see Tarron edgerton, I think he could fit the attire and hair well for qui gon.
Everything Qui-Gon did was because the living force directed him to do so. this is the legacy of this stunning Jedi Master, a Jedi in the true meaning who was very connected to the living force and because of that, he was also close and in tune with the whills.
This is great
I wish they kept the deleted scene in the phantom Menace because it shows the darkness in Anakin.
Maybe we could get a Qui-Gon Jinn series :P
When are you finishing your old fan fictions
here we go!!
I would love for theory right do and audio book for Star Wars. I could listen to his voice loll
Qui-Gon Jinn is the best Jedi!
"Saruman believes that it takes great power to defeat evil. But that is not what I've found... It is the little things, random acts of kindness... & love that hold the darkness at bay." Said Gandalf. Oops... wrong story line;);)
Can you make a video on Tatooine cuz something's up with that freking planet. I mean tie it together would you? The lighsabers lost in the sands of tatooine, all the switching from Dark to Light side and vice versa, the mandalorian series hint some ancient story aswell, Obi-Wan goes to train with Qui-Gon Jinn on this planet and ... i mean something's up with that planet and it's you who can figure it out!
You were right master. Negotiations were short.
Have you wondered what if Vader found the message from Bail in Kenobi episode 5 instead of Reva?
One day this way, one day that way. Is the will of the force.
I love these comics because they can change your perspective on different characters (although they aren’t canon).
I saw the title change !! Haha
So you could say it’s not a story Disney would tell you.
I never knew that The Phantom Menace took 3 months to film from June-September 1997. However the movie weren’t released for another 2 years
RIP QUI GON
Anakin started Greedo's villain arc.
nice story.
Love qui gon forever
He always had a bit of count dooku in him💪🏽
I like the Star Wars novel they're pretty awesome
Imagine if there were far more Jedi like Qui-Gon in the Jedi Order at this time. The Clone Wars would probably never happen and Palptaine would've been taken out.
