honestly i think at least 1 j-group will make it into the final top-9. koreans tend to be more accepting of the idea of japanese kpop idols since the country's political relationship is better. It's proven successful in the past with the produce series too, there's even some posts on korean social media trying to get people to vote for the j-trainees. so since they have koreans voting for them, they have a better shot. vs. chinese trainees have to completely rely on massive amounts of international votes (international votes are way less valuable than korean votes bc of the voting structure).

Ironically, 2 j group members made it, and only 1 c group member made it
The final lineup being mostly compromised of Koreans is the worst case scenario I predicted would happen before the start of the show and, to see the interim standings and see it possibly become true makes me feel for the Chinese and Japanese trainees who at the end of the day wasted their time 😔

I watched the Laing Jiao Weibo live translation on YT. She spilled some tea, saying that they only got 1-3hrs of sleep everyday. The O.O.O MV took 32hrs to film and they only got 1hr of sleep. Which explains alot as to why most of them didn't really have the motivation or energy from being sleep deprived.
So yeah! what was there point coming to Korea to train long hrs day and night. Only to find out they well not make the LINE UP.

@@Sone80507 I know that sounds harsh, but from what I've seen in other group behind the scenes vlogs, it seems like that is pretty much what the schedule is for any M/V. Usually 2 days of filming with not much sleep. Members trying to catnap while others are filming. It's a hard, sucky job, apparently.

Glad you spoke about the interim rankings. It’s hard not to be shocked to see it change THIS much! I think because of the op voting, the majority of the Korean votes are going to k-group girls, and 1 Korean vote is almost 7or 8 times an international vote :’( (Saw it somewhere else, correct me if I’m wrong) This is probably why almost all the j and c-group girls are at the bottom (could be Mnet’s plan?) I do like a lot of the girls in the top 9 here but I feel like there are other girls who may be more deserving of a place in the top 9 (like Shen Xiaoting, who dropped by 16 I’m shocked)
it's 50( korean) and 50(international) . but it's normal to have more koreans involved being is kpop , if japan , china and rest of the world really voted as were expected , the results would be much different.

@@alinsofan501 Because so few Koreans are voting and so many international people are voting, in order to get to 50/50, each Korean vote is worth more than 9x an international vote. So a single daily vote cast by a Korean is worth more than the entire week of voting done by an international voter.

They should've actually made it that Korean, Chinese, and Japanese votes are 50% and the other 50% would be other countries.
That made sense! Because s.kor got so much authority other than any countries when it comes to voting and since the contestants are from three different countries, it should all be fair to equate 3 participating countries to the 50%, its like 1 country votes vs the whole world votes are just lame, besides they are implying their global group agenda yet ppl around the globe can only have limited support, plus s.kor is not the only audience to market with.

MNET wants a global group yet a majority pf which are Koreans. I guess they're target is the Korean market market first before they go international. But how do they target the international market with an all korean group that could copy the success of BTS and Black pink.

I think Bahiyyih is the perfect example for what a double edged sword it is when your sibling is an idol. She gets a lot of attention and people know her because of Kai but many people hate her for being his sister. It`s a blessing maybe but also a curse.
Edit: I guess it was kinda obvious that the final line up would be 9 members. the show`s name is 999 so i guess having 9 members in the final line up makes sense
I don't hate her but the ppl that vote for her just because her brother is an idol. She doesnt need this show when she has the conections. And also she seems pretty bland, like she doesn't want it that much but "family of idols/singers you gotta be a singer"

@ honestly, I like her NOT cause of hyuka,. She's literally so talented and a really good performer too. Watch her fancams, it's just chef's kiss. Mnet mistreated her so badly by evil editing her so much. She herself has a dream of becoming a singer, solely not cuase of her family line or whatever. @@zzzonline Um Bahiyyih was never evil edited whatsoever. She had less screen time but not evil edited. Someone who was evil edited were Fu Yaning Cai Bing and Kim Sein.Tbh she is very average compared to other girls on the show who were eliminated. I’m not saying she’s untalented but 100% honest she only stood out because they mentioned her being Kai’s sister and because the people she performed with mostly had trouble performing. For example Mr Chu stage Haeun and Yeeun were not the best but Bahiyyih was praised the most in that stage even over Hyewon who did the best.In fiesta non of them were vocalist giving them an unfair start. When they performed most was unstable and couldn’t sing any of there high notes. Bahiyyih didn’t have high notes but could sing stably. Because she was popular people praised her instead of people like Yubin who also carried the performance. In Shoot she almost became invisible because the people she performed with were people who can attract attention like Myah Yujin and Ruan.Not hating but Bahiyyih is average because people like Bora Doah Reina Xia Yan You Dayeon Sunwoo And Hyerim were eliminated because they weren’t known but were the most talented people on the show. Bahiyyih just came with an advantage.But she doesn’t need to be sent death threats. At the end of the day Bahiyyih is a trainee like anyone else and is trying to achieve her dream and did it.
about bahiyyih, really many people say she has an advantage bc of her brother, but they assume the fandom is voting for her. though moas support and are rooting for hiyyih, contrary to popular belief they are not voting for her. there has been some collaborations with hiyyihlights and other fandoms including moas but not many moas participated in the collab, or 100% agreed to it as they are focusing on txt, which is understandable.
bahiyyih has her own stable fanbase, who are very loyal when it comes to voting. and i want to point this out: many people said she's not ready to debut, when in fact she is. i think the fact that she came to the show as an individual trainee who only trained for less than a year, made people think that. (she is now under playm ent and i also want to mention that she got accepted to many big un-named big companies) if you give her a chance and actually watch her fancams, she really does shine on stage and she would definitely bring balance to the group. many may think otherwise but she made it this far because of her own talents. (i mean seriously c'mon do you think that many people are willing to download and use that very laggy universe app unless they're a fan of any of the gp999 girls???) i'm not even gonna talk about how mnet treats her screentime.
but bahiyyih is a whole package, she has nice stable vocals, the girl can definitely dance, and a very charming, funny and kind personality. she CAN be an idol. maybe she doesn't have the experience the other girls have, but that's why she is on this show. she wants to debut and she wouldn't make it to the finals without star quality. you can see her growth through each episode, and i'm going to say it again, she is ready to debut. vote for bahiyyih!!

i was really happy to see youngeun get in top 9, i feel like she's being slept on a lot especially by knetz, her kick it performance was one of the best stages, she is an all rounder but an underrated one as of now, her stage presence is really good and her personality is soo loveable, i really am scared for the finals tho, i really hope she makes it

I feel like M-Net set up team 2 to be quiet. The Chinese contestants never volunteered for the leader position probably because they did not want to be evil edited anymore. This team has a couple members who have had their confidence tested multiple times. Which is sad :(
Chaehyun becoming no 1 isnt too much of a surprise. I highly believe it's a result of korean panic votes. She was K3 (or 4?) in ep 11 and along with Yeseo, is the closest K-candidate to debut. With the Knets (and maybe some Inets) assuming Yujin and Dayeon are locks by now as K1 and K2 in the top 9, they're probably scrambling to get more Ks like Chaehyun/Yeseo into top 9. I think her increase in votes is mostly Dayeon pickers moving their votes, which explained why Dayeon dropped 2 ranks but Yujin remained K2.

honestly i was expecting a drastic change, the filler votes r gone, till now shen xiao ting, yurina and hikaru r some of the contestants who i am very sure were getting many filler votes, also i'm seeing in many places that knetz r voting a lot for the k girls, and the international fans have started voting a lot more as well after the interim rankings, so be ready for a very different ranking once again for the finals, its going to be one hell of a roller coaster
Yeah I think the same that's why I wasn't too surprised by the rankings.. Filler votes might be a harsh word but it's true. People always had to vote for a c or j trainee even if they didn't want to.. And now they don't have to vote for them anymore bc you are not limited to one vote for every group (like k c j) but one vote in general and they vote for other people instead... (mostly their favorites, which are probably k trainees)
Actually the recent ranking doesn’t surprise me , now that people aren’t forced to vote for c and j, k have a better chance because they are most people first choice so they climbed that ranking also Korean votes weights more than international vote ( as far as I heard) so again the ranking doesn’t surprise me..but we reallyyyy don’t know who’s gonna end up in the finale lineup….
I really loved that the pass was given to Myah, but after seeing this list, I feel they refused to give it to either Cai Bing, Ruan, Chen Hsin Wei or manami because she's the only Korean in the list for elimination and they couldn't afford to let a Korean get eliminated. And it hurts me to say this, cuz I love her sooo much, but it's the truth.
I'm also starting to believe they gave Zhou Xinyou the planet pass in the last elimination, instead of more popular Chinese contestants just like Liang Jiao or Wang Yale, because they know her rankings are.ereally low, and can't afford Chinese members taking the spotlight.
This also applies for Kubo Reina, now that I think about it, she was tje most popular J group contestant of the last elimination.
And now they've done it, evil Cai Bing from being in the top 9 to being the last.
With the way things are going with the surviving k group trainess being 9 in number, c group being 5 and J group being 4, left they definitely want to debut more than 3 Koreans, which is totally unfair

No. It's not "the truth". First of all, Ruan would never have gotten the planet pass because she already got it once before and people like you would've been crying how unfair it is. Second of all Hsin Wei "improving" does not mean she should've been saved over someone who is already performing up to par and killing performances. It is about their skill set NOT their county. She wouldn't have gotten it no matter what. She isn't ready to debut. Third, Cai Bing was already doomed because of Mnet. The judges knew it would've been a waste of a planet pass because clearly people weren't voting for her. She dropped from top 9 to last. C'mon now. So you're wrong. It has nothing to do with favoritism. Nothing.

CJ group fans really underestimated the extreme effect value of Korean votes being weighted 9 times more than international votes. That’s a ridiculous ratio. Of course Koreans only vote for their own.This will be the final lineup if international fans don’t realize they were the only chance for non-Kgroup trainees.
Yet int fans are still voting for the korean trainees. At this point I really think it will be 9K group and we will watch the finals like 🤡🤡🤡 at least yujin will get to his 30's as an idol because everyone slept on clc and just realised it exists after gp999

The Knetz are voting like crazy it seems and we had somehow no idea they can changed so much in the ranking. Glad they showed it though because if they didn't, Cnetz and Jnetz won't be motivated. It's gonna be a nationality fight at this point and as long as my girl Ruiqi is gonna debut, I'll be happy whoever the top 9 would be. They're all deserving.
They're not necessarily voting like crazy. The less Koreans vote, the more weight is added to each Korean vote in order to bring the total to 50/50. Same goes for international voting - the more international votes that come in, the more valuable a single Korean vote becomes because they have to bring the Korean total to 50/50 with international.
Omg, so the more global votes there are, the more Korean votes worth. So when international fans are voting, we’re basically contributing to the Korean votes as well!

I think Hiyih is getting screwed over by the TXT fandom personally. Mnet was going to mention her of course but it’s the fandoms incessant voting push Hiyih so high that is getting her hate. She never had a chance to just show her abilities and see what support for her would actually have been.

Yes I’ve also noticed people saying that the app is crashing and they have to spend ages just to vote. With the RUclips voting as well for the OOO mission, a lot of Cnetz can’t even vote for that since RUclips is banned in China, unless they get VPN I guess.
If I'm one of the producers in Korea & the interim ranking ends up being the final ranking, I will recruit all the bottom 9 girls & form a group to go head-to-head with the winner group. That's going to be very interesting. I mean Xiao Ting as the center & Kim Bora as the main vocalist. That thought alone excites me lol

Yes the masters were at fault, yaning and cai bings mental health has literally been torn to pieces. Can you understand how mentally draining and tiring it is to be in this survival show for months... Especially the Chinese girls that got the worst mistreatment.

i doubt that chaehyun is first because of aespa fans, koreans just really love her and her and dayeon are the most popular contestants there, and, as we just saw, korean votes weight way more than the international ones because there's a way smaller amount of people voting, but it counts as 50% of the votes
You like many people underestimated Korean votes. It's not the fandom collab votes that made Chaehyun go up, it was Korean votes. Mnet didn't promise us diversity, we all just assumed. I do hope int fans get their things sorted out and vote for who they really want to vote for. I've seen a lot of guilt tripping to those that stopped voting for xiaorina because they're not people's priority, accusing them of using the girls and getting their hopes up only to abandon them. That is wrong on so many levels, if you're mad at fans you are looking at things the wrong way, it's mnet's voting system that has screwed them over. It's always been mnet.
knets and mnet are biased asf without bias or weighting the international fans got it right in previous votes. The bottom half are more talented and popular than the first half smh

But based on actual votes (if Korean votes were worth the same as international) , Young Eun ranked THIRD in the ranking!
Meaning that Young Eun is supported internationally and would have made the final line-up either way.
Her rank was real and deserved.
Honestly I think these interim rankings are kinda surprising, but predictable at the same time… Since Produce 48, Mnet says they’re gonna give us a very diverse group, but at the end of the day the final lineup could never be less than 75% Korean.
I was expecting it to happen even though up until now there were only 2-3 Korean trainees on the top 9 every single time.
I still had a very small glimpse of hope that they could make such a diverse group and just push a Korean trainee to no.1 (let’s not get too greedy, we all know Xiaoting can never be center although she deserves it the most) but they are doing it their way and that’s not gonna change. I just hope there won’t be a season 2 of this show cause this was a complete miss for me
please vote for su ruiqi, this is likely her last survival show and she really deserves to debut :(

This episode made me really upset. So many talented girls got eliminated and I am especially sad about Chen Hsin Wei. I really liked her a lot and she improved in every single performance. Not only is she a visual but she is talented and has a great personality! I wish her the best! Also I hope all the girls that have been eliminated can debut in another company or something! At least some of my picks like Shen Xiao Ting, Kang Yeseo, Kim Bora, Shana, Wen Zhe, etc stayed safe. There are just so many great girls it's hard to pick.

All of the Korean trainees got the votes from korean fans. I saw this chart where the rankings that only had the Korean vote, all of Top9 were Korean trainees. For global votes, the rankings had 5 koreans, 2 Chinese, and 2 Japanese.
Tbh they did waste their time but on a more positive note at least they gained some popularity!!! Hikaru for example has a good future ahead of her!!
I'm more concerned for the older girls like mashiro and yaning. Su ruiqi also said she'd give up on trying after this survival show.

i can already feel like i’m gonna be super sad during the finals. like i love those k trainees but like why would you even have c and j trainees if it’s like this. why couldn’t we just vote for 3 trainees until the end? i dont want to be annoying or rude but like dude. it could’ve been just a full on korean show without all this circus around it.
It's all about the money. They wanted a big international audience to bump up their numbers. Now that it's close to debut time, they can lose the international views cause they already have almost all of the show done. I've seen comments on other vids where people are saying that the international voting shouldn't be allowed. It's KPOP, it should only be voted on by Koreans. Personally I will be surprised if it isn't an all K group for debut.

The interim rankings r surprising but if u consider how the voting works, its not really. The 1st voting system was cell system which was ugh the worse tbh. Then they had 2 rounds of 'pick a girl of every country to vote for' which forces voters to pick their fav & pick fillers. So liek the K voters cud have a 1st pick in the K grp while they dont in the C & J grp, hence they pick the popular ones for 'filler' votes. Then for the upcoming finals, they changed it to 1 vote for any girl. This is where we can see who has loyal fanbases & who were filler picks. This system shdve been implemented long ago, it wouldnt make voters vote unecessary for grps they dont want.
I was shookt by Xiaoting dropping 16 cuz she has a pretty big fanbase & she ranked lower than most of the C trainees which was unexpected.
The K votes being 50% is one way to ensure they do decently well in Korea. Its pandemic & they cant do global events as much as the prev grps. The 2.5 yr contract is short n they will prob spend half their promotions in korea more than internationally.
Even if the grp ends up being mostly K trainees or popular trainees not debuting, there will be ppl to support them even if the viewers dont. Similar with pd48, initially not a lot enjoyed the lineup but they got very good popularity.
This interim ranking mnet is trying to tell uall please secure ur one pick, don't think they are safe and vote for another ppl, that's why xiao ting dropped this much (indeed most part of fault came from 50korean/50international vote system, but at least do what you can do for your one pick). Still remember one thing, this is one pick, only the one who with "strong" fanbase will survive but not "big" fanbase, and no one is safe !!!!
The fact that we can vote for only one person for the final line-up messed us up. It would have been better if we were still able to vote like previous rounds. As for me, i have to pick my no 1 who is from K group and thereby forcing me to drop my picks from C and J group. I knew this was coming as soon as they announced that we can only vote for one contestant. We are all panicking cause we can no longer vote for three person, it's like we are forced to drop 2 person from our pick lol.

They rigging it "legally" since beginning. That's ratio 50:50 is a "safe top5 Korean" and they hidden it really well with cell system

Love how we both have the same view. Yes, I know Bahiyyih is talented and got the visual. But, I don't think she should debut right now since A) I think she needs more time and room for practicing her talents more and B) She needs a break for a while now for her own mental health and confidence level. I really like when she's confident and I think why her Confidence went down is due to the hate when it shouldn't even be there in the first place. As for Myah, I think she's too young to debut. First, of course we wouldn't start this conversation without bringing up pedos and creeps. So, I'm not so sure if this pops up in your tiktok or not, but whenever I see a kpop news Idol (specifically girl idols), I see this user would always comment "Sorry (idol's name), I'm not interested in you and I'm interested in Jang Wonyoung. I'm 80L (1980) and Jang Wonyoung 04L (2004)."
Second, sexualised. I'm pretty sure you already know where this is going. I'm worried that since they're young, the company might sexualised them at such a young age.
Third, hate comments. I mean, I think we already have a good example of what happens when you received hate comments.
Fourth, child labor/child exploitation. You know Kpop idols work hard HARD, right? Sometimes, we also see some idols got overworked. Now, why I bring this topic up? I don't know how it will go after the show, but lets say there will be overworking. Isn't this concerning, and knowing that they're still young?
These are just my two cents. I highly agree when we talk about how crazy talented they are, but we should take into consideration about their age and the dark side of kpop world. But, I respect your opinion and your picks. If you think they're crazy talented and should debut because of their talents and wishes, I'm okay with that and I highly respect your comments and picks.

1 team as always good but not the best. They all seem to think, I've been in the top most of this, I AM A LOCK and just sort of go through the motions. I'm afraid if this was the final group we get good but not amazing.
Team 2: How long have they known this song and yet still looked like they just learned it.
Team 3: This was a team, so cute and fun. They didn't sweat it and just enjoyed it, which made me enjoy it and them.
Elimination:
I also think Bahiyyih is good but has never really shined. She has a unique, smoother and slightly deeper voice that would be great in a song or a run (fiesta).
Cai Bing being eliminated was much like Miru getting 22 in pd48. Mnet did want her so they found a way to get her out. Miru rigging, Bing evil edits. I'm not a Bing fan and wasn't keen on her debuting BUT she was still top 17 material.
The rest of this ranking was expected.

I think Mnet saw these ranks and thought oh Sh*t if this happens we will totally be blamed for rigging, we need to show these now so people understand if you don't vote for non-k-group contestant we don't want to hear it when they don't place. I love all of the top 18 but feel the way top 9 were going, more older teens and 20s, would give us something fresh.
One other thing, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this supposed to be a GLOBAL group, ranking aside, mnet has done nothing take this group global. All the covers and new songs have been in Korean. Having C and J in the group doesn't make it any more global than Twice (for the first few year) or CLC.

LOL, I think GP999 just did a better job of swaying votes with screen time on the ones they wanted to go up. The only place I can see that it didn't really work was I think they were pushing Wen Zhe a little to try to give the team a Yena-like personality. The just miscalculated how much the Cnet population would want an only K group.
Bora actually has a chance to make it but I doubt she is main a one pick for people
chaehyun and other k-group contestants went up because koreans are now only focusing on the k-group and chaehyun has a very big korean fanbase. j-group and c-group contestants were only used as filler votes

UGHHH i just don’t even know how this could happen. I feel so tricked by mnet. They had me believe that this show was gonna finally give us a diverse group with fair distributions from each country, yet now at the end its all being flipped around on us. Its as if this was what was to be expected yet we as international fans were the only ones not expecting it. I will not give up on my girls who clearly deserve this, now more so than ever because the odds are stacked against them. I will never tell anyone how to vote, but honestly, if you are an international voter, I really believe that you should consider voting for your c and j group faves. They are receiving disproportionate votes, and we can all see that even if before the k group girls ranks weren’t that high overall, they are now some of the only girls receiving votes from the korean audience. Those votes individually hold more weight than ours do, but together it is possible for us international fans to make a difference.

@@saranghaejihyo4573 you have a point there. but as a korean based entertainment network, i doubt they don’t know how their main audience is gonna vote. it’s not something new. produce 48 showed that although they do vote for the most liked girls, the proportion is usually very skewed. maybe saying i was tricked was a bit of an exaggeration. but i still think mnet has an idea of how the votes would have been even before starting the show. if they didn’t then we would have likely had the voting be similar to the produce series rather than how it was in the beginning of girls planet. they predicted that the numbers would definitely have been uneven had they not made sure to keep an even ratio till towards the end. i kinda wish they had stuck to voting one girl from each group like they did this last elimination. i feel like had that been the case we’d definitely receive more diversity. but at the same time, as out of proportion as it is, the single voting is the one that will reflect what audiences really believe, although it’d be much more reflective if the votes all weighed the same.

Honestly,my top pick has been Yujin. However, this voting system by Mnet was horrible! Why hype all these girls with voting from C,J,K groups in the beginning (which to think was more fair) to then just say fuck it all and swerve the voting to go their way?? Anyways… I still think keeping some what of the CKJ voting system should have been kept. Listen, as long as Yujin, Bora, Youngeun and Xiaoting debut, I’ll be estaaaaatic!

Talking about the interim rankings, I am really surprised that there was any non-Korean in the top nine. I would be shocked if Kim Bora isn't in the top nine and Su Ruqi out. They have made no secret of the fact that the Korean vote is 50% of the rankings. With the level of some of the comments I've read on other videos, I have begun to expect the top 9 to be all Korean. I also expect to see a lot of comments about how it just goes to show that no one is as good as the Korean Trainees. I'm just glad they didn't vote all of the J & C trainees out before the last episode. Although that would probably have stopped the international viewers from watching/participating in the final episode.
