How were u expecting Xiaoting to debut on a very high rank when she ranked 16th in interim ranking??? And k trainees 1 pick fanbase are huge. Especially BAHIYYIH had the most strongest and biggest 1 pick fanbase since the beginning.
Once Yeseo was called i knew it would be only Koreans ahead of her. Its was an terrible move by Mnet to change the voting system at the final. It was suppose to be an Global Girl Group but at the end it wasn't. TWICE has more non-k than Kep1er.
They never changed anything. The ratio of k votes to global votes was always the same and we all agreed it made sense as it is a K-pop group. The cell system and the 3:3:3 forced voting was hated, as was the 1:1:1 voting. One pick is the only fair voting as it doesn’t force you to vote on a nationality. The C trainees didn’t get there because people didn’t like them as much as other contestants, and that’s literally the point of the show. Mnet didn’t do anything wrong. Whatever they do, people will hate. They rig? Haaaate. They don’t rig? Hate, they should’ve, we hate the lineup. They force you to vote for C and J trainees? Hate, we should vote on who we want on skill, not nationality. They lift the restriction? Hate, the ones you wanted didn’t win, so they should force us to vote for them so they win. Come on.

The 1:1:1 was very good in the porpoise of creating a global GG... And the 50/50 votes favorites the Koreans sooooo much.. keep in mind that 1 K-vote equals to 8/9 Non-K votes.
They did the C trainees dirty. It’s such an offense to the girls who worked so hard to not even be judged on their talents. They were not loved solely for their nationality. I’m sure Liang Jiao’s heart broke here for her girls. Xiaoting felt the same, even though she made it into the group.
I am sorry but i can't accept your opinion. Koreans don't love Chinese members no reason. Other Chinese members distort Korea War except only Xiaoting so Koreans don't love them. I know they are so attractive but I don't wanna pick them although they distort Korean culture and Korea War. Also most Koreans including me think if they want to be k-group members, they should have shown the minimum courtesy to Koreans, like Xiaoting. Chinese and Japanese members don't speak because they can't speak Korean fluently. In addition, Top Nine's Korean members are especially superior in personality, dance, and vocals than other Korean members. So, even if Koreans like Japanese or Chinese members, the members they like the most are K-member, so I think there are a lot of Koreans in Top Nine. Plus, Koreans think Xiaoting is less attractive and skilled than other top9 members and global people did't pick her too ,so she is in 9th place. This is my opinion so this can be different with other Koreans
As a Chinese, I’m extremely pissed off. Like when Xiaoting was called, I felt like she didn’t want to be there if her sisters weren’t going to debut with her. Just seeing her reaction, and that fake smile which looked like it was just for the show, was really heartbreaking. Just my opinion, but I’m not going to stan this group. I’ll support Hikaru, Mashiro, and Xiaoting, but that’s it. Congrats Mnet you debut a “Global group”……
As a Chinese, I agree and it's quite infuriating that they evil edited the c group trainees and treated them poorly compared to j and k group on top of that to only have 1 c group member in the final line up however I'm quite relieved for other c group members because if they can't treat them right just for a few months then they can't treat them well for 2.5 years.
I voted for Su Ruiqi everyday. I was thinking of giving a vote between her and Xiao ting. C group deserves better. I hope another agency creates a girl group with YaNing and Ruqui
If I'll be honest, it's not just mnet that I blame for the evil editing but those international fans as well who are too sure that xiaoting's, yurina's, ruiqi's, mashiro's, and hikaru's spots were secured because if they didn't think that way in the first place they might have chances to keep their rank high, yurina and ruiqi would have debut as well. Everyone think their spots are secured and decided to vote for other trainees si when the interim rank for the final line up was revealed, everyone panic vote after realizing no spot is secured. This is also not just because of those international fans but also because of the 1 pick vote and that heavy weight of k votes which is 50% so 1 vote from a k fan is equivalent to 10 votes. If mnet didn't changed the voting systen to 1 pick, xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru would rank high, yurina and ruiqi would also make it to top 9
Yaning might be given better resources(Chinese term for opportunities) by her company since she did quite well here and gained quite a few international fans. Ruiqi however has been a bridesmade way too many times. With 10th place in Chuang 2020 and now again missing debut by 3 spots, it must be heartbreaking for her.

Yurina, xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru, they were filler votes for 3 pick vote. I'm not saying they don't have a strong fandom but compared to koreans who have the 50% rights in the votes, the international fans don't hold much power. Everything was made for k group to succeed. Korea counted for 50% of votes as well as votes during the livestream being worth double but the live was 8pm korean time while everyone else was asleep…. Also the one vote policy ensures that most Koreans will vote for K group members AND their votes count for 50% of all votes even though Korea makes up a minority of the total votes.
That's what I was talking about. The foreign members were like just added in the last minute by the knetz for the group to make money overseas easier. How sad. International voters didn't have much say, really.

if Bahiyyih's and Xiaoting's ranks were swapped around there wouldn't be such an uproar... i feel so bad for both of them, Bahiyyih getting the hate for being top2 and Xiaoting for being the sole C trainee in the lineup by herself. both of their reactions imo looked like they didn't want to be there in the moment when they were called up, especially Xiaoting.

I have to say, even though the cell thing they attempted in the beginning was weird, I see its value now. I figured since the show started out with 33 Korean girls, 33 Japanese girls, and 33 Chinese girls, that it would ultimately boil down to 3 Korean girls, 3 Japanese girls, and 3 Chinese girls in the final lineup. I guess this is what the fans voted for, though. I doubt Mnet would risk another vote rigging scandal...

@@Rose0004 MNET made it so there can NEVER be more than 3 foreign debuts... and they can only be low debuts. Someone explained to me that the voting system is 50% Korean votes and 50% global votes. Knets almost exclusively vote for K trainees, while international fans vote fairly evenly for K J and C trainees. SO 3/4+ of all votes go to K trainees and C/J can only receive 1/4 of votes at MAX. It will almost always end up with top 6 in K group and the bottom 3 in C/J group

And the main market for the groupre koreans, its just fair they get the most say in everything. And besides, it was still fair... If we only consider k votes, myah and suyeon will get in replacing mashiro and hikaru. If we only consider the international votes, rui qi and yaning get in replacing yeseo and dayeon. It means both koreans and international fans would get 7 of the trainees they voted for. I dont know why yall see it as unfair

As soon as 1 & 2 were announced I skipped ahead to see who got ninth. I wasn't sitting through another half hour of dramatic pauses when I was already so let down. Su Ruiqi and Fu Yaning ran that show and got nothing for it. Evil editing from mnet. Discrimination from Korean voters. Character assassination from global voters on twitter..... I only hope some company in Korea is smart enough to reach out to them. We need these fierce girls in k-pop. We NEED them. If you think the votes are rigged then I'm telling you that it's not. The reason xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru ranked low in top 9 is because fans become too sure that their spots are secured especially xiaoting. However, we also need to consider that other ktrainees (especially bahiyyih) have a very strong support from not just k fans but intl fans as well. K votes are also 50% and we know koreans will vote for k trainees. Intl fans votes are pretty much divided which caused those three I've mentioned above to rank low. I'm pretty sure mnet was also panicking because there aren't any c trainees being called before the announcement of the top 9. Dayeon would be 1st, bahiyyih wouldn't debut, Ruiqi or Yaning would probably make it or mnet would put one of the two to replace bahiyyih in the top 9 (knowing how fans love these two as well) if the voting was rigged. But at some point, I'm happy the other c trainees did not debut because they might have missed the opportunity but atleast they are free from poor treatment

it’s absolutely ridiculous that shen xiao ting is the only c group trainee. she probably expected that, but still; it is simply unexceptable to market this group as a “global” group when 6/9 trainees are korean.
If it wasn't because of the 50-50 rules (which wasn't fair), there will be 3 Chinese in the group which are Xiaoting, Ruiqi, and Yaning. But the Korea 50% vote rules allowed Dayeon and Yeseo to debut since they got a lot of votes from Korea.

holy hell this lineup is good. 4:3:2 is a decent proportion, we have cute members and fierce members, kang yeseo doesn't have to debut as a literal minor and xiaoting isn't alone (although i'd give xiaoting the first place and swap hiyyih for yurina, hiyyih is mad talented but she wasn't debut ready because of her age and very short training period)
I also think, fans should really consider the dynamic of the group that they would like for the next survival program. I genuinely have not seen Bahiyyih interact and build a strong connection with the other girls (honestly never seen her so why did she even have fans (we know why, it’s her brother)) A solid fan favourite Yurina and Su Rui Qi who the other girls like and respect for their talents and individuality. Gone to waste.

Why would C-members ever participate again in such a show when they're portraited/spit out like that by Koreans. Something honestly went weird the 2nd last vote, Xiaoting should be Top 3 at least, and Rui Qi was being hold a place in top 9 the entire show and got spit in the face. Even Fu Ya Ning is more talented then some in the debut group. They're so talented.
The only reason this show even became relevant was because of c & j trainees. This show would’ve flopped without them. Not to mention they’ll still flop after debut. This group literally has the most boring lineup, global group my ass 🙂

knetz aren’t interested in survival shows anymore. you can see it on their votes, if you compare the korean votes itself to the amount of votes during produce era (which only uses korean votes), you can definitely see a huge difference. mnet made a “difference” to invite japanese and chinese to the show to gain attention worldwide. But at the end of the show, most korean trainees will eventually debut for the sake of their pride. Like there’s no way a kpop girlgroup will consist of more foreign members than korean. And also, 1 korean votes could weigh 8-10 intl votes. That actually says a lot, especially with the one pick system where they didn’t need to vote for non korean contestant. For example, xiaoting and other top ranked foreign contestants dropped from the top9 during the interim rank, and only 3 made it. It’s because they were used as a filler vote (before one pick system, they must vote for 1k1c1j). it’s sounds unfair,, but you know koreans are the one who runs the show…

It was suppose to be an Global Girl Group but at the end it wasn't. TWICE has more non-k than Kep1er.
They never changed anything. The ratio of k votes to global votes was always the same and we all agreed it made sense as it is a K-pop group. The cell system and the 3:3:3 forced voting was hated, as was the 1:1:1 voting. One pick is the only fair voting as it doesn’t force you to vote on a nationality. The C trainees didn’t get there because people didn’t like them as much as other contestants, and that’s literally the point of the show. Mnet didn’t do anything wrong. Whatever they do, people will hate. They rig? Haaaate. They don’t rig? Hate, they should’ve, we hate the lineup. They force you to vote for C and J trainees? Hate, we should vote on who we want on skill, not nationality. They lift the restriction? Hate, the ones you wanted didn’t win, so they should force us to vote for them so they win. Come on.

Chinese and Japanese members don't speak because they can't speak Korean fluently. In addition, Top Nine's Korean members are especially superior in personality, dance, and vocals than other Korean members. So, even if Koreans like Japanese or Chinese members, the members they like the most are K-member, so I think there are a lot of Koreans in Top Nine. Plus, Koreans think Xiaoting is less attractive and skilled than other top9 members and global people did't pick her too ,so she is in 9th place. This is my opinion so this can be different with other Koreans
As a Chinese, I’m extremely pissed off. Like when Xiaoting was called, I felt like she didn’t want to be there if her sisters weren’t going to debut with her. Just seeing her reaction, and that fake smile which looked like it was just for the show, was really heartbreaking.

If I'll be honest, it's not just mnet that I blame for the evil editing but those international fans as well who are too sure that xiaoting's, yurina's, ruiqi's, mashiro's, and hikaru's spots were secured because if they didn't think that way in the first place they might have chances to keep their rank high, yurina and ruiqi would have debut as well. Everyone think their spots are secured and decided to vote for other trainees si when the interim rank for the final line up was revealed, everyone panic vote after realizing no spot is secured. This is also not just because of those international fans but also because of the 1 pick vote and that heavy weight of k votes which is 50% so 1 vote from a k fan is equivalent to 10 votes. If mnet didn't changed the voting systen to 1 pick, xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru would rank high, yurina and ruiqi would also make it to top 9
Yaning might be given better resources(Chinese term for opportunities) by her company since she did quite well here and gained quite a few international fans. Ruiqi however has been a bridesmade way too many times. With 10th place in Chuang 2020 and now again missing debut by 3 spots, it must be heartbreaking for her.

Most of the fans I've seen have put their focus on xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru. Yes they of course give focus to yurina as well however the problem is it wasn't enough. Compared to xiaoting, who have the support of c fans, mashiro and hikaru who have the support of j fans, yurina is barely talked about by j fans or i should say, yurina isn't loved by j fans as much as they love the other two which also the reason why intl votes aren't enough to bring her to top 9. Intl fans are as well divided because of course they have their own pick. But like i said on my first comment, i also blame mnet for the change in voting system. Yurina, xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru, they were filler votes for 3 pick vote. Keep in mind that koreans hold 50% of the power in the voting and they would pick the most popular c and j trainees for the 3 pick vote which is why those 4 i've mentioned are filler votes. I'm not saying they don't have a strong fandom but compared to koreans who have the 50% rights in the votes, the international fans don't hold much power. But again, the fans are also at fault here because they are too relax that the spots of those 4 are secured so they instead focus on their 1 pick and those with lower ranks. If the voting system wasn't change we'll probably get 4K, 3J, and 2C or atleast maybe yaning, ruiqi, or yurina could debut

Everything was made for k group to succeed. Korea counted for 50% of votes as well as votes during the livestream being worth double but the live was 8pm korean time while everyone else was asleep….
Also the one vote policy ensures that most Koreans will vote for K group members AND their votes count for 50% of all votes even though Korea makes up a minority of the total votes.
That's what I was talking about. The foreign members were like just added in the last minute by the knetz for the group to make money overseas easier. How sad. International voters didn't have much say, really.

I have to say, even though the cell thing they attempted in the beginning was weird, I see its value now. I figured since the show started out with 33 Korean girls, 33 Japanese girls, and 33 Chinese girls, that it would ultimately boil down to 3 Korean girls, 3 Japanese girls, and 3 Chinese girls in the final lineup. I guess this is what the fans voted for, though. I doubt Mnet would risk another vote rigging scandal...

Someone explained to me that the voting system is 50% Korean votes and 50% global votes.
Knets almost exclusively vote for K trainees, while international fans vote fairly evenly for K J and C trainees.
SO 3/4+ of all votes go to K trainees and C/J can only receive 1/4 of votes at MAX.
It will almost always end up with top 6 in K group and the bottom 3 in C/J group
I am not sure if it was her sister sitting beside her, but you can hear her say "C group C group" 2 times. They were really hoping for a few of there C group sisters to make it into the debut line 🤧. The look in Shen Xiaoting eyes when she won looked like she didn't even wanna go up as she was so disappointed. That none of her C sisters made the debut line nor her LOVER Yurina.

If you think the votes are rigged then I'm telling you that it's not. The reason xiaoting, mashiro, and hikaru ranked low in top 9 is because fans become too sure that their spots are secured especially xiaoting. However, we also need to consider that other ktrainees (especially bahiyyih) have a very strong support from not just k fans but intl fans as well. K votes are also 50% and we know koreans will vote for k trainees. Intl fans votes are pretty much divided which caused those three I've mentioned above to rank low. I'm pretty sure mnet was also panicking because there aren't any c trainees being called before the announcement of the top 9. Dayeon would be 1st, bahiyyih wouldn't debut, Ruiqi or Yaning would probably make it or mnet would put one of the two to replace bahiyyih in the top 9 (knowing how fans love these two as well) if the voting was rigged. But at some point, I'm happy the other c trainees did not debut because they might have missed the opportunity but atleast they are free from poor treatment

@@rn7da At the beginning bahhi was my pick because I didn't have anyone to vote for, but as the missions went by, (like other picks I added) I never saw her take initiative, she never stood out, she never tried a position and I stopped liking her. How does someone who does not stand out become popular? She had the advantage of the brother of the popular group and big company and most of that fandom denies it, you can go to twitter and check the fanbases and the vast majority are fans of TX* and BT*.
i was honestly expecting yurina or xiaoting to fight for first place against chaehyun or against each other, never imagined xiaorina out of the final top3. i'm still so sad.
i read somewhere that a yurina fanbase stopped voting for her becaushe she is from a rich family, but idk, also some people thought she had assured debut so they stopped voting
and xiaoting, well, she is chinese so it was obvious that she will not be top1/top2 or center

The only reason this show even became relevant was because of c & j trainees. This show would’ve flopped without them. Not to mention they’ll still flop after debut. This group literally has the most boring lineup, global group my ass 🙂
the fact is , they don’t like Chinese but they still want to get money from them. So they include 1 as a “hostage” , so they can do evil editing to others members and give a low rank to meet Koreans’ expectation. “Win-Win” for both Mnet & Koreans, money for Mnet and fulfillment for Koreans.
( Sorry my opinion become a bit offensive , but I’m pissed off by the result, it’s my first time to know, a show can try so hard to make a rank such ridiculous that all first 6th to be themselves and also claimed as “international” And most of the trainees had even less screen time than a Korean trainee’s mother?! ) I like all the girls, but Mnet no way!!

At the start of the show, everyone thought the ratio would be 3:3:3 due to the system vote
They could just debut a group without having to waste the time of foreign trainees who clearly didn’t have a chance to debut (with the system of vote)

knetz aren’t interested in survival shows anymore. you can see it on their votes, if you compare the korean votes itself to the amount of votes during produce era (which only uses korean votes), you can definitely see a huge difference.
mnet made a “difference” to invite japanese and chinese to the show to gain attention worldwide.
But at the end of the show, most korean trainees will eventually debut for the sake of their pride. Like there’s no way a kpop girlgroup will consist of more foreign members than korean. And also, 1 korean votes could weigh 8-10 intl votes.
That actually says a lot, especially with the one pick system where they didn’t need to vote for non korean contestant. For example, xiaoting and other top ranked foreign contestants dropped from the top9 during the interim rank, and only 3 made it. It’s because they were used as a filler vote (before one pick system, they must vote for 1k1c1j). it’s sounds unfair,, but you know koreans are the one who runs the show…
