Another quick shortcut for track creation in Logic is Command-Option-A for audio tracks, Command-Option-S for software/virtual instrument tracks. Only time I use the other option is to create multiple tracks at once. I woulda stayed with Pro Tools but I can’t update past PT12 without giving up my perpetual license. Negative! I miss being able to automate clip gain with visual representation though.

Another thing bro,I got better mixing results from logic pro x on my Mac with my Audient ID4 inferface,than pro tool 8 I had on my windows7 PC with my MBox Mini,I would have stuck with Pro tools,but The Logic Pro x my friend gave me was only for Mac,not only that,but they stop doing updates for my windows 7 PC,So my 2015 Mac Book Pro became my studio computer now,was a great improvement on my sound.

You know how most rappers just buy a instrumental off beatstars or airbit and rap over it. And a how to master a mastered instrumental with a vocal track over it cause that’s what most of us are buying and rapping over. Right on! I haven’t been mastering my songs cause the beat is already mastered so I just put vocals over it, then I mix it and put it out! 🤷🏾♂️ So far I’ve been staying away from compression and limiters cause I heard they introduce noise or ruin the dynamics of my vocals.

Why did you switch from ProTools to logic and why did you switch back to ProTools? Would a Mackie universal controller work well with logic? Is a Mac or PC preferable? Sincere thanks for your help.
Logic has a gain plugin for turning the beat down or in the tab menu which you don’t have open it’s another way to cut the track down over there it’s the clip gain
