In the passenger side rear door a miss-match/replacement? It looked like the exterior bump strip was misaligned, then I saw a black interior panel. The car has definitely lived a hard life. Nice work giving it another chance!
Something that really impresses me, besides your great work, is your knowledge of all the different makes and models of cars. My husband has been in the automotive industry for over 40 years and a lot of what you say, is exactly what he says. Have a wonderful weekend.
I do have the same steamer as you. I got it last year after watching you clean cars for over a year. I use it to mop floor, clean furniture and stainless steel appliances. It works wonders and cuts down cleaning time. It also disinfects and kills odors.
Your editing and production skills continue to improve. Great job Captain Consistent!!!! I love that this car has almost no options on it. I bet Mike makes an appearance by the end of next month. :)
I admire you Mitch! I appreciate your efforts in the small details. I like your way of transforming the "pumpkin" into the "royal float" (said with all due respect). You are simply the best! Thanks
What a great transformation! The whole inside of that vehicle looked... sticky. 😬 She's looking so much better after visiting your car spa! Great work, Mitch!
It would be amazing to see you start buying cars like this for cheap at auctions, clean them up, and give them away maybe once a month? I’ve been watching your channel for 2 years or so now and it’s amazing to see your growth and honest hard work man! Keep it up dude
I worry more for the guy who bought it at auction. Then again, he'll probably give it to his newly licensed kid because, who cares if he smacks it on a curb or into a pole.
In the sixties I worked at an auto paint shop and the detail guys used dye to rejuvenate the carpets to original color and it was done in the car ,no need too remove them.
I have been watching and enjoying your video's for years. I wish you would show a full paint correction. I am a detail enthusiast and would love to see how you would tackle a project like that.
I think that purple stain was probably ink from a pen that exploded. Ink stains are a real pain in the butt to remove. Besides, that stain has been there so long that it will probably never come out completely.
Pretty impressive to see this car come back. From the looks of it the man I assume drove this thing around half naked spilling his beers and just throwing his cigarettes as he went about his day. I don’t understand how one does that to a seat personally. Nice job. Those seats came back so much better than I thought. Do you ever have problems with the modern cloth upholsterings pilling or fraying???
Mitch, I have been wondering for a while if you would consider doing a video on cleaning your cleaning equipment (eg, drill brushes and steamer). I think some people forget these need to be cleaned to clean properly. Great video on cleaning the Pursuit!
Hey Bro… excellent work! I have a suggestion for you for those stubborn stains on the carpets and seats… try dissolving some OxyClean in warm water then spray it like you normally would for the 2nd pass and let it sit for a while. I think you’d be pleased with the results. Just use the drill brush and extractor as usual. Good detailing! 😊
Mitch, I work for a plastics molding company here in Ohio. In Quality Control dept. You can get adhesive off of the plastics with hand sanitizer and a little bit of elbow grease!
That looks like a DeWalt DCF 885 and that just happens to be What's called the king of impacts from DeWalt and maybe one of the toughest quarter inch impacts ever made
16:16 - after going to Taco Bell 😂 So glad to see another one of these back on the road! Pontiac Pursuits/G5s & Chevrolet Cobalts are great little cars! Very reliable, and relatively simple engineering so they're easy to fix, just with a dirt-cheap body put on the bulletproof drive train. If I remember correctly, the 4-door Pontiac Pursuit was never sold in the US, so this must be a Canadian-sold car?
My dude cleaning a car they don’t make anymore. I love this car mine isn’t a 2005 though and in that shape haha. Mine is a 2009 and it’s in great shape. Long live Pontiac.
I just bought/ received the steam cleaner you use. For my trucks interior due to dogs being so messy inside. And the mud that never comes off. Yet to use it though
@elizabethannfarrow1971 well I just bought one actually as well. I need alot cause my one dog tries to eat ppl through the window, and trucks, semi trucks, ...she goes nuts. Besides getting it all dirty
Being a detailer with ocd I hate when I can’t bring stuff back 100%. Ima newer detailer , but I hate the fact that the one little stain that probably is not restorable won’t come out. Then I feel like the customer wouldn’t be happy. People tell it’s ok. But my brain doesn’t make it ok.
@lynnettesue6240 Yes, it does. Make sure you have a towel in between the layers (stain on front of shirt. If there is no barrier, it will bleed through to the back. Use an old rag)
@@taraanderlich4831 Thanks! Definitely going to give it a try. Not sure how he manages to get so many ink stains in an electronic world on top of not doing homework, but here we are. 😆
Your trousers match the car! What a brave man you are, I'd begin with a liberal spray of Febreze. Also amazing what a thorough running of the vacuum can do. Came out better than I imagined it could. Good thing you caught the emergency brake...
These repo cars, are they being cleaned up so that they can run again as "winter beaters" or for someone's second car? This was another one that was brought in on the tow truck. I really like the blue color once you got it cleaned up. Even though the seats and carpets can't look brand new like others you have done, at least it's clean, garbage free and smells a LOT better. You sure got rid of those stains. Was it in an accident and repaired? There was quite a space in the seam for the hood on one side. Really another great job of showing us that repo cars need some love too. Good work Mitch. Enjoy a great weekend, I hope you still have some spring weather. 💜
Awesome to see you, you are best a good attendance. I can give you to make As straight. Lol! Mitch is incredibly caring and never has to be a failure. Have an enjoyable springtime and a super weekend! Be safe where you are and stay warm, my friend. 😊
Getting a car in that condition is sort of like cutting open a dirty rock and finding something shiny inside. I knew you’d make a gem out of this rock, just wish for your sake it wasn’t a smelly disaster. Super job!
My dad used to have a 2005 Pontiac Montana van when I was growing up. That thing was so cool. I loved riding in it and the speaker system and it was awesome. I remember so many road trips watching movies in that van. I wish this guy could come over and clean out my bedroom Lol. The 2004 Mercury marquee I have is pretty cool but I just have so many CDs in it because it doesn’t have a thing that you can connect your phone to. My friends still laugh at me when I tell them that I still listen to CDs while driving.
Hi Mitch this pursuit looks a lot better than it did and probably smells somewhat better too awesome job as always and the owner will feel better knowing its cleaned up better than it was have a great weekend mitch an ill catch you in the next one

Ove the work man but if i could ask one thing, show the results once its dry and not while its still wet cause how would we know if the stains came back once dry. One thing i learnt the hard way as a detailer
To remove almost any sort of common glue, use an oil-based automotive de-greaser (water based won't help). You only need enough to coat the glue, so it shouldn't run much. Let it dwell for 5-10 minutes depending on how thick it is. The glue should now be either completely dissolved or at least very loose and rubbery, and can either be wiped away or gently rubbed off with a soft sponge. Any oily residue is easily cleaned away with some mild dish detergent (or a little alcohol). The majority of plastics, especially those typically used in automotive, will not be damaged or stained from this. Pure naptha usually works similarly, with the benefit that it will evaporate completely and leave no oily residue. I don't work much on cars myself, but I have used these to great effect in cleaning all sorts of stains and gunk from all sort sort of other items. It's really invaluable to have in your toolkit for any stain or gunk that has some sort of petroleum or oil base, because nothing else than an oil based solvent really does anything - and it's not as harsh to many materials as most people think.
Well that was NASTY but what an incredible transformation! Hard to believe that’s the same car I started with!
Have a great weekend guys!

13:58 im shocked how the ink spot wasn’t even visible at first due to all the grime 😳
That grossed me out, enough dirt to cover up a huge ink stain is awful 😬
When he said “body fluids” I almost threw up. 🤮

They're known as a Pontiac G5 in the US, a rebadged Chevy Cobalt
That used to be the sunfire
Thank you for clarifying. I had never heard of a Pursuit. Lol
Ever wonder the kind of person that has a 2006 Pontiac POS repo'd?
