    Absolutely amazing photography Steve, very interesting seeing the camera equipment you are using. Again another very interesting video. You said that Cornwall have 2 hours of dark skys in May while Blackpool have none. What about Ireland? What are the dark skys like there as compered to the Uk?

      It all depends on latitude Breda. I'm sure Ireland has very dark skies due to the small population, but it's probably similar to northern England for length of daylight.

    Great image and video, Stephen. I’ve taken almost exactly the same shot before, but slightly later in the season from near the causeways going out to the mount. It’s so photogenic. The guys driving on to the beach to do donuts did kind of ruin the atmosphere for me though!!

      Thanks, there is always something that you don't anticipate. I actually think I got a better shot last time for two reasons. 1) The conditions were very damp on this night. 2) I was taking the images on the previous visit from Marazion, so the light pollution will have been behind me & not to the left in the wide image I got this time.

    I know zero about photography. If I had been stood with you at the same time and place - would I be able to see the Milky Way in such clarity with the naked eye? or is it the camera that does the magic?

    • @starman1969
      @starman1969  Год назад +1

      Unfortunately, due to the light pollution & damp conditions it was very difficult to see the Milky Way. The camera does indeed see-in-the-dark, but there are much darker places than this location, where it’s possible to see the Milky Way quite clearly.

    hi I wanna ask when was this taken in order to get this composition?

      In the springtime. I took this in April, but it's possible to get a similar shot from March through to May.

    Trust a Blackpoodle to mispronounce Maraz I on. Funny, Stevie x
