The expansion which is rather balance patch is incomming and there are several rule updates that make the game more balanced and enjoyable even without expansion and can be used with the base game. It is recommended to start with 1 purple worker + population card (to balance people who get purple worker reward card early in hand), add extra trade and expolration token to your starting fleet (in expansion you get extra printed panel with those ships, it also balances old world island with exploration ship printed on it being too OP when drawn early). Get 2 gold instead of 1 when trading purple products. Pick two boards old/new world and choose one, shuffle the stack afterwards to lower the randomness a bit. Add one extra token to each level 3 ship and also count them at the and as 3VP trade and 7VP exploration. There are extra level 2 trade ships and red workers so use proxies if you run out of them.
I think I caught a small mistake. At 17:30, you are describing the end-game scoring rules of the Expedition cards. You put two blue Worker cubes on the turquoise slots reserved for Investors. In fact, the rulebook infers that none of the expedition cards will feature slots for Green or Blue cubes. Otherwise, great work as usual!
Thank you for a wonderful How To video. One Rule question, If I build a card and as a bonus get a worker, would I get also a population card? Thank you
Quick question about game end. Do all played cards have to be activated to trigger game end? Can you play your last card , not trigger it (and maybe have one or more other cards not activated) and still trigger game end?
The ships you'll get at the start of the game. Do you have to build docks for them? When I'll want to build a new ship (the fourth one) do I have to have 4 docks? Sorry for my English I'am from Holland
Excellent rules explanation, thank you!
Thank you so much for another fantastic tutorial video! You are the first guy I go to when I want to learn to play a game!
Thanks for making this great rules explanation!

Just played that actually, I liked it a lot but have some mixed feelings about it. It's weird but great at the same time. 😀
Thanks for fixing the issues in the original video so quickly!
Well... lesson learned: don't work when you're tired, and especially not with the language you're not so good at. ☺️
Great job and thank you!

Yes, you do! The same applies for the Old World tiles with these symbols.
Wonderful rules video, thank you.
Great rules overview!
Great tutorial 👌
what does the bonus on the population card do? 10:35
It gives you one red cube (worker).

No, you don't need to activate the cards.

No, you don't have to. The number of docks determines the number of *new* ships you can build in one turn.
we ask: we find as other players some difficult to reach END GAME PHASE = game seems to long or there part of rules not right understand ?
Well, it can be long, that's true. Some of our games took over 3 hours.
can we decide NOT to trigger the bonus on the population card and still trigger the end of game?
Yes. To play a card you must meet the requirements. Then, at any time, you MAY activate the card.
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell NICE. thanks! Great job!
