Hi, my Dad bought a new 58 Dodge Custom Royal, fire engine red with a black and white houndstooth type interior! What a beauty! It was the D500 and loaded. Power everything steering, brakes, windows and seats. As a 4 year old I loved playing with the windows! So cool. In 1960 a cement truck pulled out in front of us, it was badly damaged, but repaired. My Dad was never satisfied with the repairs and ultimately sold the car! I wish I had it now! It was one of the coolest cars from my childhood. Randy was right about the wheel covers, the original set were stolen while we were on vacation in Canada! He did replace them but he was so mad…
I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned it, but the 350 engine was the first of the Big Block "B" series which included the 361, 383 & 400. 'The raised block' was created to accommodate the longer stroke that became the "RB" series which included the 383 [different 383 with smaller bore & long stroke] 413, 426 & 440. So the engine in this car is a 1958 350 'B' series Mopar Big Block. It certainly is a lovely car.
The chrome surrounds of the rear lights is "jet age" design simulating jet exhaust, which was popular in the late-50's. It's got nothing to do with castles.
@Two Guys and a Ride===Thanks:::: Plenty of KNEE & LEG BREAKING 😊front end styling here!!!! Stainless Steel all around/FINS!!!/NO RECALL after buying this NORTH AMERICAN manufactured QUALITY BUILT & constant RECHECKING of the manufactured factory built AUTOMOBILE (otherwise known as a CAR)☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 10 star award winning CAR**********☆
These cars were so highly styled and the materials featured within the interior put so many modern cars to shame. Now even on expensive cars its hard plastic interiors. Don't bang your elbow on this plastic unless you want nerve damage that can really mess up your hand.
Thank you for showcasing Randy's 58 Dodge.
Oh it was our pleasure, thanks for watching!
What A Beauty ! We did not get the Regal Lancer here in England but we did get the Custom Royal. (Sedan and Convertable), A real head-turner.
Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
Rarest of the rare.
Growing up in the 1950's, with Chrysler products, I'd never seen one.
Thanks for watching!

It’s a beautiful ride
That is a beautiful '58 Dodge.
We agree. It’s extremely beautiful
@@TwoGuysandaRide I had owned a 1957 Dodge Custom Royal in the early 90's, I miss it! I just love these old MoPars.
My dad had a '58 Dodge Coronet. Not as 'fancy' as the Regal Lancer, but still ornate. I learned how to drive in that car...
Cool. Thanks for sharing
So beautifully car
Exner excellence! Dream car design!
Beautiful car. Someone needs to restore Miss Belvedere from Tulsa Oklahoma. A car time capsule from 1957.

Agreed. Those were the days when the stylists were in charge and not the accountants
