Wiring Lighting Circuits in Conduit Using the Conduit Loop in Method of Wiring - Rig Explained

This video starts a series of videos looking at wiring in PVC singles. This rig could be made at home or in college and will be used to explain the conduit loop-in method of wiring lighting circuits. The method of wiring lighting circuits in conduit is different than the 3 plate method often used in domestic dwellings. The method of wiring lights in a conduit system is different to wiring in twin and CPC cables (twin and earth) because you can take the single insulated conductors to exactly where you need them.

With those baton holders do you still have to slide heat resistant sleeving over the cables . It was always a requirements if the normal wiring gos straight to the lamp holder. I often use these baton holders in domestic properties with proper round back plates and I still sleeve the cables just on the off chance someone still fits a 100w lamp .
Obviously not a requirement on ceiling rose based baton holders.
Now we are 99% LED I often think what I do is not necessary. Any thoughts.?

Fault on circuit means no first floor or ground floor lighting..not to clever 🤔
