Lowko loves the music in this game: 21:35 Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. Not enough minerals. ...
Loco Lowko, I'm so triggered he didn't used the Perdition Turrets he paid for, this was the very mission to use them. >__< Yet I'm surprised to read there are people in the comments who were expecting exactly that to happen. XD
Yeaaaa everyone probably knows he is not gonna use that because that would make things too easy. Like how his Tassada kill those friendly marines. xD Brutal difficulty? nah Lowko difficulty
Not shooting the screen should be obvious but Jim has earlier in the campaign. Likely the person in charge of the cantina put the sign there as a reminder.
On one of his streams he made fun of people desperately reminding him of that mission that under every video of the campaign someone mentions it. I guess Lowko reads more comments than we realise.
Reapers and siege tanks might be efficient, but the most FUN I've ever had on Meinhoff was when I rushed the Tosh missions ASAP and built Specters. There's practically no detection.
Here’s a tip for you. If you click the bunkers with marines in them, u can use stimpack. Also, if you put a single medic in that bunker, the medic will heal your marines inside the bunker
I did put simply reapers in my bunkers the first time i played the mission. And a hellbat, but swapped it out later for more reapers. The hellbat didn't get to fire often xD
Pro Campaigners: I have made a lot of reapers in my career. But no, if you wanna pass this mission easily, make Reapers. They do the job way better than Hellions here.
Clicked on the video almost right away when I saw it uploaded. I already pressed the like button before I even watched it. Loved it! Keep up the great work!
That Drum thing 4:55 will hold the Memory Crystal thing from Zeratul later in the campaign when he comes seeking Raynor. You can than replay what Zeratul has been through and discovered. 30% of campaign players don't know about it and often miss out on more research points.
With both bunker upgrades and concussive shells on marauders, and the Shrike Turret, 2 bunkers is usually enough to cover each approach to your base on this mission. A third filled with firebats and a couple scvs behind it will definitely do it.
Shin Chan Texas in the southern USA, we only have sweet iced tea. You can't even order hot tea at 90% of restaurants. I've never heard of kombucha, I'll have to try making some.
When you get a new research available in the lab, that's when you get a new interaction with either the Zerg / Protoss tank (depending on which research is available). And the text in the interaction is relevant to the research choice you get to make. It's pretty cool.
Lowko in case you havent notice yet, in the lab, the tanks entries are the background for the researches. For instance: zerg burrow>>turrets that can burrow
Hey Lowko, no spoilers just so you know everytime you rank up in research a new Steadman log comes on the Tank for that research. Also it tells you how he figured out that research. For example he studied how the zerg tunnel so he was able to make the flame turrets with that research.
Have to admit, this mission was what actually clued me in on Left4Dead on Steam. The co-op mission of this is called "Left2Die", and when googling information about tactics, I read about Left4Dead. Same thing with Plants vs Zombies, learned about that game from WoW. When game makers pay homage to other games in a unique way, it's actually quite good advertising.
this mission is easy with bunkers for def and reaper for attacking acutally a good amunt of repear can finish this mission with 2 sun rises and a detection for the exta objective during the day and you won't need to kill it at nigh. no need for segie tanks
I always do this with 2 bunkers with +2 slots +1 range on each side. Put 5 marines and 1 medic into it, have some SCV's patrolling for repairs. All bunkers into separate control group. Select it and press "stim" time to time. Insane amount of damage. When you replace regular marines with war pigs - you can hold this shit indefinitely. Then whatever you want to attack with - just go for it. gotta try reapers tho because I always finish Evacuation and Outbreak right after Zero Hour :)
THIS is perhaps my favourite mission in WoL campaign! (And probably I'm not the only one.) Through a number of different campaign playthroughs I've utilized pretty much ALL tech possibly available in this mission. Typical use of hellions and/or reapers is great all right. Yet one fun way is to go mass predator - their speed is useful for the baseraids and splash damage is great against the infested masses. One another time I went with mass vultures with replenishable mines; during daytime covered the map with hundreds of mines just to lay back and enjoy watching the infested blow up during night (put mines near buildings, and they can even take out buildings when the infested spawn out of them). With siege tanks (Siege Breakers!) base defense becomes a relaxed fireworks show. Another sick way is to make ghosts/spectres and NUKE the bases on nightime; even better, give some shots on every building to make the infested jump out in numbers, then land a nuke and watch them all burn in a single blow. Cloaked banshees and battlecruisers too are fun ways to go. This mission, in addition to its supposed gameplay (minimal tech vs. infested masses, always cool and tense especially on brutal), enables so many greatly entertaining variations. :)
Wait! what? People don't do Meinhoff until they get siege tanks? Just make a wall of bunkers, 1 firebat in each, 4 marines in em, have 1 scv per bunker! Then go mass (unupgraded) reaper and win on night 4!
An alternative I found interesting was the use of reapers and vultures to just rush the map, with probably marines and perditions to guard the base. Since there weren't many air units, it was convenient to just rampage across the map.
You don't need siege tanks at all. You defend with firebats, bunkers and perdition turrets and then you mass helions and reapers. Helions take care of any infected and reapers demolish the structures. Don't even need to back during night.
Hey lowko in the future there are some sidemissions comming up with other units than terran. You should do them first in the row ,the research points you get from them are a huge help in the upcomming main missions
No siege tanks needed, massing reapers from the Redstone mission gets this mission done in record time, since they can keep making progress even during the night.
Hey lowko when there are 2 choices for a mission(there are 2 times where this happens) try both. You can try them both via saves or the archives. But if there is a choice between keeping someone or something else, I assure you, keeping that someone is alot better.
Hey Lowko, love your videos! I've heard at some point that you plan on taking the double scv later in the campaign, but you should really consider automated refineries:you save minerals and supply by not putting scv in there! Also do not forget about the mercs, they are the best bang for your bucks!
Mass reapers are insanely good on this mission, because they deal extra damage to light armor, get around fast and do a lot of damage to buildings with their bombs. 20 bucks says he doesn't build them.
You can put firebats in bunkers and keeping marines behind them. The infested will go for the bunkers first and get burned by the firebats while the marines provide support.
Whoever told you to use siege tank is full of it. All you need for this mission are Reapers, loads and loads of reapers that can tear apart buildings and quickly get to the next destination asap.
When you clicked on Raynor's badge for the first time, back in Joey's Bar, that he was chosen by the Magistrate for Marshall because he was a criminal. His reputation was so bad that nobody wanted to mess with him and he "never had to shoot anybody".
Hellions + hold button and reapers at day = win in 2 nights. Lowko, please, make a marauder "slowing missiles" upgrade. It's op in defense missions like one with laser drill. One marauder in bunker + siege tank can kill much more stuff without losses. I can't imagine how hard it can be, to complete this mission on Brutal without this upgrade.
Spends like, five minutes reading and watching the Perdition turret and it's preferred use. Spends about zero seconds thinking about a perdition turret when faced with an endless zombie horde. Just Lowko things.
bunkers, firebats and helions with SCV repairs is enough for this mission, no siege tanks required. On a side note I found Hellion and Reapers made short work of the infested camps.
Lowko best unit for this mission is reaper. Spam reaper after you have blocked your base and destroy with them the buildings. I mean they have extra dmg to buildings, are fastand there no air unit's for the ki. thanks for the video.
No firebats in frontline bunkers, very few firebats overall, no perdition turrets, few hellions (that's okay if you get firebats)... yep, Lowko is playing on Brutal alright :D
Hey Lowko!!! Loving you all the way from Israel!! Suggestion- when unlocking a Zerg/Prottoss research in the laboratory, check the Zerg/Prottoss tanks in the back **before** selecting the research. The extra information is always relevant (or referring) to the researches...
Main reason you lost your army: Firing on buildings during the night spawns extra waves of enemy units and you stutterstepped right into the middle of 5 of them. RIP army :(
On how Jim became sheriff after all his troubles: It was simply because he knew the Colonial Magistrate (the one before the player in the first campaign), and the Magistrate knew that despite being at odds with the law in the past, Jim was a good guy, with a sense of fairness, honesty and justice. Just the sort of person the Magistrate needed to keep Mar Sara under relative control. So he offered him the job and a clean slate, which he took.
Might be late but you could make an abundance of reapers and send them out during the day. Makes things hell of a lot easier and since they are fast movers they can fly in and kill the infestors stupid fast.
Place your bets everyone!! On the Heaven mission, do you think Lowko will chose: -"The Protoss choice" or -"The not Protoss choice" (trying to not do any spoilers here)
The Protoss one has better dialogue. "Raynor: I want everyone out there in a suit! We can't risk this infestation spreading" "Tychus: They infest marines too..."
Lowko may I make a suggestion and say that you should get the bunker upgrades they will help out a lot especially in the late game but also with missions such as this one. Love the videos
I think the new Zerg research you got at the beginning of the episode would have helped as well, as those turrets are supposed to be good at defending against swarms of enemies. :D
I usually wait a lot more before doing this mission, so I can do it with tech reactors and predators. There's something satisfying about sending 30+ panthers out at night to shred the hordes to pieces.
unlocks new tower that's good at killing large waves of biological enemies -> starts mission where he has to defend against large waves of biological enemies -> builds a lot of bunkers... just lowko things :D :D
Lowko: I will not use bunkers because they are boring Later: not massing any sort of units that are more than cost effective on the mission Imagine if there are a couple hellions behind the line, that would be rediculous.
Gets turret made for dealing with swarms, plays a mission with swarming enemies and does not build it.. yep, that's Lowko
Rattja I was wondering when he was going to start building them. Turns out he never did
Right! LOL, I have been watching for years, and normally the gameplay is on point, but this was painful to watch.
Sometimes I think he has goldfish memory reserved for most obvious things.
I was thinking the exact same thing...
Rattja To be fair, I remember never building perdition turrets either. Just something that slips the mind sometimes
Those shiny new perdition turrets that you picked may have been not so bad in this mission.
I was just about to ask about those! I want to see them in action!!! +LowkoTV
Lowko loves the music in this game: 21:35

My favourite sound! Means you’re macroing well.
Same!
maybe the sound of you lost all your workers lol
Does SCII have announcer packs like Dota 2 does?
Gets the perfect defense for Meinhoff, doesn't use it.
Goliaths, perdition turrets, you are basicaly choosing to play Swann commander in campaign.
As soon as he bought the turret I was instantly like "I bet $20 he's not gonna use it in the zombie mission!" #JustLowkoThings
He bought advance medical facility, let's not have any kind of high expectations. Otherwise you are destined to be disappointed
Loco Lowko, I'm so triggered he didn't used the Perdition Turrets he paid for, this was the very mission to use them. >__<
Yet I'm surprised to read there are people in the comments who were expecting exactly that to happen.

Lowko difficulty
Loki All he needs now is the big lazer
Not shooting the screen should be obvious but Jim has earlier in the campaign. Likely the person in charge of the cantina put the sign there as a reminder.
"Actually, I don't know if she's into me..."
Damn Lowko, you never could read the ladies...
lol'd on this one :D
this one is gr8 lol
"Is that a drum set?"
Wait til zeratul hears you saying that
Well right now it is actually just a table :D
Ralf Rudi don't be such a little probe
Zeratul has plans for it
Lowko i dont want to spoil the story but there is a secret mission that u unlock on the mission "Media Blitz". You should search about it.
I think he liked someone's comment about it in a previous video, so hopefully we should be all good!
On one of his streams he made fun of people desperately reminding him of that mission that under every video of the campaign someone mentions it. I guess Lowko reads more comments than we realise.

Typical Lowko: Researches Perdition Turret, never uses it.
9:06 Good choice.
Lowko: *Gets a structure perfect for killing infested without blocking pathways*
Lowko: *Doesn't use that structure*
Classic Lowko.
Reapers would have been incredible in this mission too because of their explosive grenades against structures! :D
Dave Walker And they deal alot of damages against lights units, it's the perfect combination of damages/mobility for this mission !
Yep. In the left 2 die game, reapers cost almost as much as siege tanks, just due to killing everything so fast
With a bit of Medics supply, Reapers can tear through this map within 2 nights.
Reapers and siege tanks might be efficient, but the most FUN I've ever had on Meinhoff was when I rushed the Tosh missions ASAP and built Specters. There's practically no detection.
Yeah, they are truly gods on this mission!
Here’s a tip for you. If you click the bunkers with marines in them, u can use stimpack. Also, if you put a single medic in that bunker, the medic will heal your marines inside the bunker
3 Marines and a Medic. Sounds like a sitcom... Or an internet video.
5 marines and a medic. +2 slots +1 range are very very good upgrades.
I did put simply reapers in my bunkers the first time i played the mission. And a hellbat, but swapped it out later for more reapers. The hellbat didn't get to fire often xD
lowko don't take the double scv because with mule and automated refinery you got all the resources for almost free
Also remember that automated refineries free some supply.
9 on All-in.
The "Don't shoot at the Screen" sign is because of the first mission intro, where Raynor shoots Donny on TV.
Mengsk, he shoots Mengsk on TV, how can you mess that one up lol :D
there is also "I've added TV to your tab" note on "Hunter Killer" in hyperion cantina.
Zeratuls thing goes onto the “drum set” in the science lab hahaha
Lowko: I have made thousands of helions in my career.
Me; You have made millions of marines in your career.
Still plays bio.
Pro Campaigners: I have made a lot of reapers in my career.
But no, if you wanna pass this mission easily, make Reapers. They do the job way better than Hellions here.
Don't worry, I'm sure Emperor Mengsk will build a wall around the core worlds. A big, beautiful wall. And Kerrigan will pay for it.
28:41 your nightmare fuel for tonight.
All I heard is "My goose is getting cooked"
Clicked on the video almost right away when I saw it uploaded. I already pressed the like button before I even watched it. Loved it! Keep up the great work!

I'm honored to see a fellow person of culture here as well.

Nope, I did that as well :P
I scream because he called them hellbats -_-
Hey Lowko, no spoilers
just so you know everytime you rank up in research a new Steadman log comes on the Tank for that research.

Right, no need for siege tanks. Marauders + concussion = easy win with bioball. One does not even need hellions. On brutal.
33:28 That finally explains the mystery of "What's in the Cup?"
Tosh: You do not no da specta wae, mista rainor!
YEEEEEEEES next episode of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty man i was exited
Researches Perdition Turrets and never uses on this mission. Tipical Lowko thingies. :D
The Doctor leaves after her next mission, so if you leave it till the end you can get more commentary from her then if you finish it right away.
The turret on the bunker deals the damage of like, a single marine. The other upgrade is astronomically better.
The turret upgrade is a lot more fun though.
LowkoTV; Well, I guess. Continue the good work, this series is really entertaining - looking forwards to HotS
Askjey The turret deals 24 damage
Same damage as 4 marines
A W: When you see the introduction video to the bunker-turret, you can see 2 bunkers struggling to kill 3 zerg. Low damage
well, the 50% capacity increase is even better
Hellion spam is great plus clearing out the adjective during the day they are able to get back during the night fats
The “table” in the laboratory is a stand for a relic thing that you get from zeratul I think from whispers of oblivion
Seeing you spam those bunkers randomly wherever they would fit gave me Deja Vu of your latest They Are Billions vid XD
Reapers are nuts on this mission. They pretty much one shot the infested BC they're bio, they move fast, and they do wonders against buildings

Hey Lowko, love your videos!

Lowko use the damn hold command! Your units were all HUR DUR DUR LETS GO FIGHT THEM!

thanks for the video.
1 structure remaining = almost 10 zombies
10 str. Remaining = almost 100 zombies
The structures spawn zombies
RIP army :(
Get the bunker upgrades Lowko, static defense is huge on Char!
The “drum set” is where the missions from Zeratul will be played from.
Just a hint the marauder slow is AOE in the campaign which is actually pretty useful.
28:24 that marine is way too reckless
Really enjoying these videos. I'm super glad you decided to do this series, Lowko! ^.^
Him never building enough medics which are the most OP thing ever is always so hard to watch with so much Bio.
This was THE mission to use perdition turrets smh
I am thinking: "You know Lowko, you bought those flame turrets, for swarms?"
On how Jim became sheriff after all his troubles: It was simply because he knew the Colonial Magistrate (the one before the player in the first campaign), and the Magistrate knew that despite being at odds with the law in the past, Jim was a good guy, with a sense of fairness, honesty and justice. Jeez, Lowko almost got the speedrun achievement without even trying for it. Too bad about that last handful of buildings....
I'm surprised you didn't build any of the flame turrets you'd just unlocked. Seems like they would have been perfect for this mission.
Lowko next time you're in the cantina, please acknowledge the pair of boots hanging just over Tosh.
Might be late but you could make an abundance of reapers and send them out during the day. Makes things hell of a lot easier and since they are fast movers they can fly in and kill the infestors stupid fast.
Perdition turrets are great against zerg, but planetary fortresses own protoss missions if you support them with missile turrets.
By far the coolest mission in the game... Reaper bomb squad galore.
Place your bets everyone!!
On the Heaven mission, do you think Lowko will chose:
-"The Protoss choice"
or
-"The not Protoss choice"
(trying to not do any spoilers here)
TheHUEZOX not the protoss one
The Protoss one has better dialogue.
"Raynor: I want everyone out there in a suit! We can't risk this infestation spreading"
"Tychus: They infest marines too..."
The sign on the tv is a call back to the first cinematic where jim shoots at the tv
The research logs are what the new tech you unlock is based on.
I usually wait a lot more before doing this mission, so I can do it with tech reactors and predators. There's something satisfying about sending 30+ panthers out at night to shred the hordes to pieces.
Jack Rakan and miss out on Vikings for infinity?
14:36 Lowko! I didn't know you felt that way... Yes! A thousand times yes! :D
researched perdition turret and totally forgot to use it in the most convenient time
"I just lost most of my stuff" try keeping your medics near your marines.. you keep stimming forward and the medics are behind your mechs.... yeah.
Also on brutal the AI focuses the medics.
unlocks new tower that's good at killing large waves of biological enemies -> starts mission where he has to defend against large waves of biological enemies -> builds a lot of bunkers... just lowko things :D :D
Lowko: I will not use bunkers because they are boring
Later: not massing any sort of units that are more than cost effective on the mission
Imagine if there are a couple hellions behind the line, that would be rediculous.
THEY ARE BILLIONS!!!!
Reaper are nearly perfect for this mission, dealing xtra dmg to light units and throwing bombs on buildings crushing threw and being fast as hell
Only Lowko can unlock the perdition turret and not build even one of them in a mission basically designed for it
Gets flame turrets.
Forgets about there existence in perhaps there most useful mission.
Slaps face*
