    I have dry skin, but my I'm also acne prone and will get tons of white heads and generally very clogged pores. I can say the Paula's Choice 2% was a godsend for me. I don't have perfect skin, but its helped my texture, acne, and don't dry me out. I also have very sensitive skin. So definitely a good one 👍

    I've been using the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner, it's a 0.5% SA, very gentle but effective for unclogging my pores. I have a dry (and sometimes sensitive) skin yet prone to clogged pores so this is enough for me 👌

    Obviously, the PC BHA is a classic that did some heavy lifting for my skin back in the day, and I still use it weekly or biweekly, but for everyday I love Benton Aloe BHA Toner with its gentle 0.5% of SA. It provides a really nice level of hydration and helps to sustain the exfoliation results without the risk of damaging the skin barrier.

I've only been using it like 3 weeks, maybe a month, and my skin does look slightly better, but I know it doesn't happen super fast so I wasn't expecting much, I just like to try out minis because I have tons of allergies, so I like to make sure the product doesn't cause any reactions. Love James! Love Korean skincare! Such a massive difference their products have made to my disgusting skin. I only need a good chemical exfoliator and I'm soooo scared about my skin purging and looking like a hot mess again. Almost bought the COSRX BHA power liquid but came to check RUclips to see what James, Hyram and Dr.Vanita Rattan have to say about it.

      @dds245 3 года назад

      @@somethingamazing1 Yes. Bought both the COSRX AHA7 whitehead power liquid and the BHA power liquid. Zero purging or tingling or redness. Infact, the AHA which I was most terrified of (thanks to Dr.Rattan), gives an instant and long lasting glow in just one use. I use it once in 10 days and BHA once a week. You'll see a glow and smoothness you've never seen before.

      @@somethingamazing1 I also bought Paula's Choice BHA but it's way too oily and kinda messes up my skin. I don't really need such a powerful BHA at this point. So I've given it to my teenager to use. The COSRX BHA works beautifully for me.

      @@dds245 oh, thank you so much for the reply! i was really stuck between the paula's choice bha and cosrx blackhead liquid. i think im going to go with the cosrx since i do have oily acne prone skin. i haven't used any exfoliator before, so i think cosrx will hopefully be gentle enough for my skin to handle. just a question, since you didn't experience any negative effects from the cosrx blackhead liquid, did it actually help with exfoliating and cleaning your dead skin cells and blackheads?

    • @dds245
      @dds245 3 года назад

      @@somethingamazing1 Definitely cleaned up the gritty stuff off my face and oh my goodness!..it lightens acne marks like nothing I've ever used before. I don't have blackheads. But I do have quite a few sebaceous filaments on my face. The BHA gets rid of most of it. And the AHA just takes off the dead skin cells from the top most layer, lightening the marks even more. And either or both of them have cleared up my whiteheads quite effectively and have made my skin smooth with a beautiful glow.

    I have combination skin, classic oily T-Zone/dry everywhere else, also incrediby prone to acne/breakouts (I've had to use Accutane twice in my life) and wearing a mask everyday for work is making the irritation on my cheeks go into hyperdrive!
    I've been using Revox Just Salicylic 2% serum every other day after cleansing at night and it's had a massive positive effect on my breakouts and had the added bonus of reducing the appearance of pores and evening my skin tone. It's only 4.99€ where I live, so it's a win all round for me!

    i have dry skin but often get acne and buildup around my nose, i started with pixi glow and then leveled up to tarte tingle treatment which i LOVED then looking for something cheaper tried the ren glow tonic and realised all the things i loved about tarte were because of the BHA and not the AHA despite everyone saying dry people all love AHAs so ive been on the paula's choice exfoliating liquid bandwagon for 6months or so now and adore it even though Im super dry and sensitive, I just use really rich moisturizers and oils afterwards!

    I've use the Cosrx BHA Power liquid every morning and it has helped keep the maskne at bay. For a month or two in the late summer/early autumn I used the Inkey List BHA serum every morning just to clear out everything that was lingering deep in my pores. I now just use the Inkey List BHA serum as a spot treatment. I had really oily skin in the past but have mostly outgrown it and am now normal to a little oily around my nose. I remember using the Paula's Choice Liquid Exfoliant like 7 years ago and really liking it, but I knew so little about skincare at the time. I used it once or twice a day, sunscreen what's that, it was a real mess.

    You shoud consider trying the Paula's Choice "RESIST Daily Pore-Refining Treatment With 2% BHA." It is actually identical to the Regular Strenth BHA in their "Clear" line, while the Extra Strength one is identical to their "Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid." So it's supposedly a more gentle version of the Skin Perfecting liquid.
    The "Resist" line one has a ton more soothing and beneficial ingredients, and appears to be a much more advanced product IMO (solely judging by the ingedients, anyway.)

    • @Jake-vd7ig

      (If you're wondering how one is supposedly more gentle than the other even though they both contain 2% BHA, they say it's becuase the BHA its formulated to be released slower, in addition to the added soothing and beneficial ingredients.)

    I used to think these acids (glycolic, salicylic...) weren't for my skin because I'd always get a breakout EVERY TIME after using them. I tried the Hanskin AHA cleansing balm and omg- my skin had never been this consistently clear, ever. My skin type is dry and prone to clogged pores and I usually use some kind of niacinamide serum and azelaic acid to clear up breakouts fast but once my skin is healed, I use the cleanser every other day and couple it with a moisturizing spf afterwards and thats it. I haven't had clogged pores/ blackheads in months- it's my holy grail.

    I've been using the corsx daily salicylic cleanser for about 6 month and it changed my skin! Changing my bha from exfoliating liquid to cleanser was such a good idea. I also moisturize a lot, but I never feel oily when I use it, which I love. It's also super cheap and a little goes a long way, so a tube last a loooooong time!

    Paula's Choice BHA info - I've tried every PC BHA product, for years I've tested and alternated between them.
    If you have oily or combo skin like me - - - the PC Clear BHA (regular strength) is hands down the most lightweight, effective and gentle product they have!
    The skin perfecting BHA was ok for winter but was still too heavy for my skin.
    Good luck all 👍

    I absolutely LOVE how Paula's choice 2% BHA affects my skin and REALLY WANT TO USE IT AGAIN but it causes my eyebrows to fall out. Even when I didn't use it for about a month or longer and they stopped falling out and then I used a miniscule amount on my cheeks and nose (not near the eyebrows) AND washed it off after 15 minutes AND even washed it off in a way so the water stream doesn't touch the eyebrows - they started falling out again just after that! I haven't used it in a long while now and basically my eyebrows stayed the same, only this one time I noticed one had some more fall out but then again it stagnated.
    Did my body overload on some of the ingredients? Is these something similar I could use which wouldn't cause this? I really want to use it again! 😫

In the recent years a lot of women here started to use them on their faces as well, me included.
