The Di who came to see us when I was a poolee was awesome. I later ran into him while doing Red Beach and he was a WO3. I then ran into him at the range and he was a unicorn. WO5. Guy was amazing
It's all fun and games when you still get to go home and sleep in your own bed. It doesn't become real until you are sleeping in a room with a bunch of strangers, some were literally crying out loud, no joke, some kids were actually crying themselves to sleep!
to be fair I'm probably going to be one of the ones that cries themselves to sleep so I'd cut them some slack. Most civilians havent faced something as hard as the san diego mcrd before.
