honestly when the movie wants to hit the feels, it really hits it. I haven't had a single animated film that had me actual feel sad to the point of near tears as this movie did, just from the score alone. it's a masterpiece, but I would say it is my favorite Pixar film sadly. that goes to either toy story or cars
As a kid, I really didn't think much about this movie, but as I grew older I realised how amazing it is, that quick and meaningful montage of the old man's life with his wife, how they met, fell in love, got married tried to have a kid and just growing old and eventually the wife dying, that hits hard. It kills me everytime.
When the movie first came out I thought it was boring bc you know I was like little but after I rewatched it a couple of times as I got older I realized I was wrong and that I really like this film and appreciate it
Up is definitely a really good movie. But personally, Inside Out is my favorite Pixar movie. I love the characters. I love the message of it's ok to be sad and not just happy all the time. And I love how it also teaches you about the mind.
this movie was my favorite when i was a child. i would watch it over and over and over again. it was so beautiful, and i found it so funny. of course it was really sad, and i cried often, it was still lovely.
Mmm, personally wouldn't call it "flawless." I mean in terms of a character arc, yeah, Carl ends up changing for the better, but I never really cared for the fantastical element of the talking dogs and bird chase. The first few minutes of the movie, hands down, were the best in cinema.
I don't know why people say Up peaked at the first 12 minutes of the film, well, I kinda do because of Kevin and the talking dogs and the floating house held up by only balloons, but I can look past all that because that's not the point of the film. It's supposed to be Carl's story from Grumpy Old Man to Happy and Contemned Grandpa, from letting go of his past and move on with whatever life he's has left. I do love the dynamic between Carl and Russel, cause remember in the first 12 minutes of the film, Carl and Ellie were unable to have children, so Russel's like the son Carl never had, and Russel's dad is not around as much because of work, so to him, Carl is like the father he wish he had. But if were talking about favorite movies my favorite is Ratatouille and Wall-E.
Agree. The best scene in the movie is not the first 10 minutes, is when carl realizes that ellie lived a happy life and he should not feel guilty for not travel with her to paraside walls, and then he realizes russell is his new adventure so he literally throws every object in the house to move on and stop charging with that burden.
I don't like Up at all. The first 10 mins is the flawless part of the movie, but i actually didn't like the rest of the story. It just got a bit too weird with the dogs.

The movie has all the feels. And I cry every time!
Up and Disney’s bolt was one the first movie’s I saw in my life, so I really love and respect these films, I’m a super fan of both movies

For me the golden triangle of Pixar is made of Up, Ratatouile and Coco

UP = Best Pixar movie ever
Ah, yes, the animated adaptation of Grand Torino. 😌
Personally i wanted to like it but i just can't. The part with flying dogs is really just not it
i always say ratatouille is the best but honestly i can't even look at this movie without crying so i think it's a tie for me
Smarty pants, not everyone likes this film. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 3.

I have never found it that special tbh. The opening was nice and the rest of the movie was decent but I have seen better.
