I grew up with my great-grand mother and she would mix the corn bread in the greens, put a mouthful in each of our mouths, sister and brother. We would run around until it was gone, come back for more until we were full. To this day I still eat my greens and corn bread that same mixed way, eating them with my fingers. 😊😊mmmm.
I'm 36 and my Grandmother on my father's side ate her green just like that. With them skinny fingers✋🏽 lol. Now I want some greens and Louisiana Hot Sauce🤤🍞🥬🥣
OMGAWD..... WE GREW UP THE SAME WAY...SHE WILL ADD A LITTLE VINEGAR TO THEM AND MIX THEM WITH THAT HOMEMADE CORNBREAD, PINCH SOME IN HER FINGERS, BLOW ON IT AND GIVE ME AND MY BROTHER FINGERFULS....OMGAWD...THANK YOU FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MEMORY....
I thought I was the only one that adds chicken base to greens I also add it to my rice when it's cooking gives the rice a whole different flavor.. That baking soda soak help to make them tender 😋 you never let us down Miriam 🙂🙂😊😊👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Your facial expressions, your squealing, when you say "it's extra," when your lip quivers...it's all so adorable. Seriously, you are the kindest, most adorable mukbanger, in my humble opinion. And let's not leave out that you have great recipes! Thank you, thank you for being here and for the entertainment. Take good care and stay well.
I Love greens especially with smoked turkey. The only difference is I fully cook my smoked turkey first until the meat 🍖 falls off the bone on its own. This video was everything 🙌 with the cornbread.
Same. It ain’t done till it look shredded then I add dem greens and Ba-bay... (Larry the cable guy voice) I tell you whaaat. There is a God! That’s all I can say 😭
And now I’ll let my husband know we can host Thanksgiving. His family scares me with judgements but Imma just follow Miriam’s videos to a Tee!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good day Queen Mariam: Those good ole country collard greens looks delectable and well seasoned. I want a container to go with some cornbread sista Mariam! And- the way you slickly slide that cornbread was 🔥 fire! Goat move..
LOVED the smoked turkey idea! Great! I always used ham hocks! But, I do remember cooking the greens for 3 to 4 hours! The Pot Likker and cornbread! YUM!!!!
Since I have been watching you cook, I am now cooking myself and I have a appetite, I had no appetite from 2014, but since I have been watching I now have a appetite and I cook, I now don't feel week and tired, PRAISE THE LORD GOD THE MESSIAH KING JESUS CHRIST THE LORD THY GOD!
Those collard greens 🥬 look so tender and flavorful and delicious that’s how my mom taught me how to make them keep cooking your mommy’s recipes I know your mommy had them blessed cooking hands
The stem is more healthy, than the green's. I love to leave on some of the stems on. But what ever you choose 😃. The green's Still Good!!!!! I'm getting me some tomorrow, ty😘
You have such an amazing light, and I love watching you build creations. I get sooo hungry watching! This video stuck out in particular to me because I was raised in the South and never paid attention to the women of my family when they cooked. I just didn’t develop the interest in cooking when I was growing up. Now that I’m a woman,I’ve always had an embarrassment inside about bot learning how to create certain delicacies. Collard greens have been at the top of my list. I will use this video to teach myself how to finally make this. Hate to sound so emotional about simply cooking greens lol,but it means alot to me to open this part of my femininity. I appreciate you so much. You are so much more than entertainment. You literally are a portal to help encourage nourishment from scratch. I thank you🖤
You are certified authentic with this one CHERE..lol I've made your recipes and you definitely have something special. From one Maryland girl to another.🙂
