The tumbler press I purchased it's okay so far once I figured it out. Amazon has a ton of styles I may add in a regular actual mug press at some point I'm not great with mugs using this....

Very cool! They all came out good. I love the grinch 😅
Thanks Rae👏👍😊
Thank you! 💚
The hicus pocus was amazing great job great design
Love , love the Hocus Pocus ones
I think that the non cricut cups if I am not mistaken turned out Great!!!
I am learning from you if I ever do sublimation!!! Thanks for sharing!
They really all looked good. Even professional companies have ghosting sometimes....
Love ❤️
I didn't use and will not use cricut brand cups ever. You can see the brand on one of the Amazon ones in the video the michaels one are 100% blank on the bottom which I really appreciate!
Love the Hocus Pocus ones!! I have yet to try any type of mug for some reason, but I should probably get on that 🤔😁
Try not to snap your handles 🤣 I don't like mugs as much as tumblers since I can't go over mistakes!
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle excellent advice 😁
love them all 🥰😍I absolutely love the grinch one. My fav is Freddy just cause I love him 😆 Thank you for this tutorial. I have mugs and tumblers to sublimate but I’m scared 😂 because idk what temp to use 🤦🏽♀️ 🤷🏽♀️ stay blessed 🥰
It's going to be slightly different for every press or oven. The tumblers are nice because they can be gone over with epoxy to fix mistakes. Mugs not so much!
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle you have a point there Rae. Thank you 😊
It's fun (but expensive), ain't it? All heat tape is not created equal. Some of the gold tape works well, but some, that looks identical, leaves a gold-colored mess behind that won't come off. I'm not a big fan of buying Cricut-brand stuff, but their heat tape is great. 400 degrees for six minutes? That's a funny thing about sublimation - I watch a lot of videos, and the time/temp range goes from almost nothing to way up there. Yours obviously worked well. I can't figure out how to get good blacks. I printed several blocks of black and did them one at a time, at different time/temps that the RUclipsrs use, to see what worked best. Never did get it perfect. I have some things to do this morning, I'll definitely give your recipe a try. Looks like you got a nice mug press. Hocus Pocus turned out great. Have you sublimated a tumbler and then added resin to it, yet?
I started at the low end of what was suggested and worked my way up... it seems like a very long time at a very high temp but it's working mostly... so I'll stick to it. I avoid almost all cricut brand products except the machine 🤣
I did the first batch of 4 tumblers I epoxied over are a few videos back....
Try using a piece of heat proof Teflon sheet and wrap around cup helps even pressure and holding a constant heat. It really helps. Also if this helps the last cup you did you can adjust your color brightness, tone and color saturation through your printer and colors colors brighter and crisper
I might try it. Maybe and or butcher paper.
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle never tried butcher paper the Teflon heats up and holds sublimation paper tight. Please use gloves if you try gets very hot.
I always wrap my cups and mugs in wax free butcher paper to protect my press. All it would take is one blowout of ink and you have a mess to try to clean up and may need replacement parts for your press.
I see maybe 50/50 people bothering with the extra layer.... I do have some actual butcher paper coming now (it's something I can't seem to ever remember at the store) so once that here I might use it.
Broke mines on my tumbler press
I had to get a mug press 🙄 I snapped too many handles using the big press!
I don't know if you said it in the video, what temp and time are you doing? I think they all came out great! I have not done a mug yet in my tumbler press.
I did but I'd have to watch back and see or find my notes. I very much prefer my mug press and will never do another mug in the tumbler press 🤣 I'll find my time and temp and get back to you though it was hot and long ...
i believe you said 360 seconds @400@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle
So temperature was at 400° and at 400 seconds?
You will always have to test for your exact press but yes ceramics take a very long time to transfer. I've since switched to dedicated mug presses. It's much easier for me that way.
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle oh ok yes. Thank you.
