@@tbproductions5713 First of all, no one cares. Second, the regret rate gender affirming surgeries is at 1% , which is significantly lower than gender surgery regret rate which is at 14%. Third, you have no say in what people desire and/or need to do with their bodies to make themselves happy, and content with their lives.
Transgender people transition to reduce and alleviate gender dysphoria, which can greatly debilitating and impact someone’s quality of life negatively. Receiving gender affirming is the exact opposite of self harm, because gender affirming care has and does save lives and improve the majority of the recipients’ qualities of life.

I feel like nowadays people judge others for asking questions out of curiosity. His approach and his wonder is refreshing. Her responses, personality and grace are amazing.
Hello and good day, I agreed with your comment The problem is is we've become such a hive mind that we surround ourselves with people with similar beliefs, ideologies and any person that does not share those beliefs or ideology or at best challenge said belief or ideology by asking questions to get a better understanding of that ideology or belief is often alienated hated on and criticized. This is because when you are in a collective that shares the same belief or ideology of you you don't particularly need to ask questions, explain yourself, or lay down the foundation and when a person comes along and ask questions they are immediately alienated because of asking questions.
The problem is, trans people are constantly being interviewed and having to explain themselves and transness to people they barely know. It's not fair to put education on them solely.
@@RaroHi that's a good point, but in order for some people to understand a situation it requires asking questions and unfortunately at time you end up representing a group rather you like it or not.
true but one can do research with the internet. there are people who write, bloh, vlog and even professionals that specifically eduacate on every topic on this planet online and even in person. asking people randomly about intimate questions even out of curiosity is alienating and actually inconsiderate and rude to the person being put on the spot. also no one can always 100% accurately represent a whole community of people especially if its random and the individual is not as versed in the entire collectives experiences. also it's important to first ask if it;s okay to ask an intimate/ contorversial and personal question first out of respect to the person. it's dehumanizng to treat another person as a curiosity. One still has to have manners and decorum towards others. It seems some people forget to be respectful and polite just to sate their curiostiy or because they want to be entertained. I'm not saying that is what is happening in this video but there is nuance to this. IF one is actually interested the first thing to do is seek out information from sources and people that are already offering it and providing it. if you do meet someone you are curious about ask with manners as in first ask if you can ask them and also if you can ask personal questions and also respect if they are not in the head space or not comfortable to answer a question or questions, and this is not just about being trans this can be applyied to any demographic (type of identity or background).@@Nightcall411
@@rene3759 I definitely agree with asking permission before asking an intimate question, but looking on the internet and reading articles and vlogs will only lead to misinformation. At the end of the day what's important is the person that you're speaking to directly to ask their opinion. Of course their opinion is not law nor does it speak for the majority of the community, but having an intimate conversation their opinion will be valid. But going on the internet and going online the majority of information on the internet is often misleading, biased, or heavily altered with an agenda. That's not to say that an individual asking them directly can't have their own agenda or bias. But you also have to remember that there was a period long before the internet and computers where people were able to ask questions, I think the only way that people can understand one another is to directly ask each other questions. I do agree that you should be respectful of the individual and ask the individual their permission before asking such intimate questions.
I like that she was so kind and answered his questions in like a easy comfortable and non awkward way. What an excellent speaker. Love from Vic. I didn’t know this existed

I really like the way she talks, it’s very calming. I want to see more of her
I wish she would have EMPHASIZED it being BLACK and BROWN transwomen who Fought for queer rights.
Yeah, Silvia Rivera in particular was one of the central figures in the gay rights movement, and she was a Latina trans woman. Marsha P Johnson too was Black, although she may not have been trans, since she described herself differently depending on who asked her and she never explicitly stated she was a trans woman the way Sylvia Rivera did.

Woooh Julie! I used to watch her RUclips videos in 2014 , i had completely forgotten about her, glad to see she is well !
Please I love her. Love the openness and showing of inclusivity :)))
I love listening to trans stories not because I am trans but because I am deprogramming the hate that put inside me by being raised conservative white nationalist. I'm addicted to hearing people talk about their self acceptance.
I loved this video and there's so much value to it but she said some things that are really misinformative and reductionist..
- The blanket statement of fHRT reducing sex drive is just not true across all experiences and she should've kept that personalized instead of speaking for all trans girls. What medications someone is taking to block T and whether or not someone is doing monotherapy typically affects libido & function either 'up' or 'down' and sometimes that's beneficial for the person and sometimes it's not.
- Being trans is not "popping." It's not 'in' or mainstream. Transition is incredibly hard and nobody would wish the hardship that goes into fighting to be yourself on anyone. I don't know of anyone I have personally spoken to who had transitioned or started transition because it was cool. What I do know is that parents and those responsible for wide reaching transphobic rhetoric like EpochTV use the belief that transition is "popping" to ignore, abuse, and control their trans kids- not allowing them to make choices that in many cases will save their lives. It is so sad to see that belief spread here by Julie, because more harm is caused by letting people believe that their child's experiences, needs, and feelings are wrong than harm by folks who realize transition is not right for them.
- Only a small and vocal minority of people want to exclude transgender people from the LGBT+ label.. I don't think it's very constructive at all to attempt to make that a talking point when all that discussing it as a 'real problem' does is create nonexistent internal conflict.
- What hurt the most is her saying that a number of trans girls get off on "decieving men" which suggests that trans girls just see themselves as men fooling men.. which is an absolutely horrendous claim from someone who has experienced gender dysphoria and knows how invalidating that would be.
Julie is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and real work has been done because of this video but it doesn't sit right with me to see these things that only hurt our community and it's safety thrown around unchecked.
- So, I don't speak the language
- 😐
- I don't do the dances
- 😮
"You're the LeBron James of the Transgender Community for sure" 😭😭
Hmm, I don't feel like there's any reason for trans people to have to tell us they're trans. Like if I was dating a guy and he came out as trans to me I'd be like, okay? And move on with my life.
omg I've missed her so much. Joules is honestly the most humble person I ever had the honour of speaking to. She's amazing!!

the way she talks about all the rest of the lgbtq community is so annoying.. she looks like the type of person who would say "pick a side" to a bisexual person lol
Yeah, very disappointing to see her be like that.
I mean I think it's fine to joke about how long the acronym has become at this point, cause it's absurd, when the "+" is still included.
But I also don't think many people care at all if you respectfully address the community as "LGBTQ+".
And like the talk about "transtrenders" struck me as incredibly tone deaf and reactionary.

im not even gay but I love when u interviewed the lqbtq+ community cause they were so funny for no reason hahaha
"I'm not even gay... they were so funny for no reason." You need to stop categorizing people as much as you do. You might as well say, "I'm not even lefthanded but I love it when you interview the lefthanded community 'cause they are so funny for no reason." That'd be an absurd thing to say because what does being lefthanded have to do with anything? Whether you are gay or not is immaterial, though the fact that you even feel a need to bring it up indicates that you have some uncertainty over the matter. So let me let you in on a little secret - most straight people, deep down, are curious and occasionally find themselves attracted to members of their own sex. The same holds true the other way as well. Now, maybe I hold that opinion because I'm bisexual and am projecting myself onto others, but I think that most people are a little bisexual at heart. Many people have told me, whether they were straight or gay, that they've considered being with someone of a gender that is the opposite of what they'd normally be attracted to. But my main point, Elijah, is that people are people, and we are all far more alike than we are different. All that really matters is character - is that person a good person? Is that person honest, kind, empathetic, caring, loving, forgiving, responsible, reliable, et cetera? Whether someone sucks cock or licks clit has nothing to do with character, nor should it be the basis of how that person is viewed.
"I'm not even gay but" is just kinda unnecessary to say. You don't have to be part of the community to like the person from it.
@@borgir4458 It's not unnecessary. It's an essential part of the point OP was making. The comment wouldn't express the same thing without it. OP obviously doesn't believe readers would think that you have to be lgbtq+ to like interviewees that are lgbtq+.

The setting that breeds a certain level of immediate connection, bordering on intimacy, the humor and goofiness (of both host and guest) and the direct, non-confrontational tackling of issues and meeting eachother on common grounds. Really glad this came across my recommendations. Immediate sub and like and I will be running through the content. Great stuff.
“You’re the Lebron James of the transgender community.” [8:11]
Heck yeah, add Julie to Multiversus!!
Why did you spend half the video asking her about her surgeries and her genitals? Why did you not ask her about her experience before living as a trans woman? You could've just as easily googled the questions you asked instead to sate your morbid curiosity. Why not ask her about her story? Her life experience as a trans woman? Think about it. It feels reductive to mostly ask questions related to her body rather than her experience. I'm not saying you only asked about that, you definitely did follow-up with some nice questions and thoughts -- but it feels very inappropriate asking about someone else's genitals. Not every trans person "fully transitions", there's no such thing as 'fully transitioning', not every trans person seeks surgeries or hormones. I understand that you're trying to make marketable content, but please just try and be ethical about it.
@@tbproductions5713 Yeah, no. Sex ≠ gender and science is more nuanced than what you learned in the 2nd grade. Educate yourself and stop being obtuse.
bro he did that, hello? more than half of it was about her life experiences.
She has a name, she’s not just a trans woman.🙄
I get the trans girl not telling him... she just wants to experience a regular dating life as a girl, but also get him feeling hurt
At 2:42 about why it seems like fetishization has a really interesting history. Western culture has a history of making eastern women seem docile and hyper sexual. That plus labeling a range of cultures as “exotic”(very short explanation lacking a bit more context). Being into Asian culture can be viewed today as fetishization due to a bit of hypervigilance. People maybe questioning “in what way are you into Asian people??” Because people are weird
A is asexual and everyone forgets about us.
Asexuality is a completely different issue from same sex attraction and gender dysphoria.
@@ChristianF15cherSure, but it is also a marginalized sexuality that is considered unacceptable by society, and that society often tries to "fix" in cruel ways.
Corrective rape, for example, is also done on asexual people.
18:45 "what's her doctor's number" I FUCKING DIED LMAO
Great there are platforms like this where we can ask what some would consider controversial questions
What a great episode.
"Well first of all...: Autobots, or decepticons?" Killed me LMAO
I think it really depends. I would never go on a date before telling someone I'm trans, or kiss them, let alone have sex. I feel like if you're in a stage when you're just talking and spending time together in a friendly way, it's okay not to say anything if you're unsure of where they stand. I think the awkward part is when flirting develops because if it evolves into mutual genuine interest, then you have to tell them as a step forward beyond flirting.
i would tell them through the phone, just for your own safety. :)
This is why I wouldn't reciprocate someone approaching me in person. Feels unsafe to do so.@@s_.777
I've been on hormones 6 years and i have a High Libido... Mtf like she is.
The only time i didn't gave a libido is when my hormones were imbalanced, which you should talk to your doctor about. But that was Very temporary for me.. Thankfully! 🥵✨
Just wanted to clear that up!
Also, ive been watching these videos since they had 100 likes.. 💁🏾♀️✨
My estradiol is high. 750. Like my doctor says it’s too high. My test is 50. Which I’ve seen tons of trans girls with lower test levels than that. And lots around the same. I have no sex drive anymore.
IS YOUR BOYFRIEND IN THERE, ILL SEE WHAT HE HAS TO SAY" -lmao I am dead, I for sure would immediately put the flirt on
