- Night 3 was the best of the trip Stu, Pood and I stalking into some good mobs that just kept coming, We went back to camp at 3 am. I hope that you find it of interest to you.

Ah it’s bloody good fun the thermal, we had large mob on a feeder last Sunday and we snuck into around 40m, emptied a 10 shot mag into them from the 223 with thermal scope and my son was nailing a few of the smaller ones with a 22mag and torch haha
G'day Drover Agree the thermal has changed the way we hunt, without it we would not have shot more than 10 on that trip. I like the 2232 and had a 22 Mag wish I never sold it, it is a good fit between 22 and 223. Best regards Steve

9:12 look at that space we could build an airport, runways a hotel a conferance center and barbee pit for lunches out there...it aint there because stuie the guy on the quad doesnt come to the corporate office to schedule..

G'day Clint Yes that would be a good idea, only thing is that paddock is not like that all t he time, it had been cropped and then flooded which meant that a lot of unharvested grain which was what drew them to that paddock. Currently that paddock is under water. Best regards Steve
Hey mate, what’d be your choice on 308 vs 223 vs 243 on taking cats, foxes, dogs, pigs and goats out to 200m?

Nolixss I love 30 cal 150 grain projectiles for Pig, Goats, and dog, foxes and cats if you are not after the skins. if you do want the skins and not the kick 223 is a good choice lots of ammo available. The 243 is also a great cartridge but I have not had much to do with it. Any one of those calibres will work on those animals you just need to place your shot and be mindful that 223 and 243 may not pernitrate deep enough to stop pigs on shots from behind.
