This is so weird, but yours is the third youtube video I've watched today where the word epoch was used. Lol. The other two were The Paleogene Period by Lindsay Nicole and When Were the First Ever Star Formed in the Universe by Dr. Becky. Two great channels if you are a science nerd.
You’ve made me very interested in picking up some Tchaikovsky. I’m not sure when, but I definitely want to give him a shot. Last week I finished The Masquerade of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe. It was beautifully written and kind of creepy. I’m currently working on The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It’s really good, but unfortunately there’s no way I can get caught up in time for the release of Wind and Truth so I’m just going to enjoy the trip. Journey before destination. I’m flipping between The Way of Kings as well as The Hunger of the Gods by John Gwynne. I’m 98 pages in and I think I’m going to like it better than The Shadow of the Gods. So far Bloodsworn hasn’t been quite as good as Of Blood and Bone and not nearly as good as The Faithful and the Fallen, but I’m excited to see where the story goes.
I don't know why Jakob is concerned about the pyrotechnics. Worst case scenario, you have a bunch or new friends to share books with. Granted, it's a captive audience in a jail cell, but they probably haven't read extensively.
I actually DNF’d The Last Kingdom. A lot of telling and not showing and just felt stale/stagnant. A bit of a snooze for me unfortunately. Maybe it was his writing that wasn’t jiving with me, not sure, but I moved on to something else. About 90% done with Pillars of the Earth. This is very good. Much darker and violent than I anticipated. The people that say it’s a book about building a Cathedral do the book a large disservice. Kings battling, Earls fighting over their Earldoms. Bishops lying, backstabbing and scheming for power. Just typical survival of 12th century living, which is brutal all by itself. Really good writing. Almost gives me, in a weird way, ASoIAF vibes with how much scheming, back stabbing and politicking is going on…battles, murders, rapes, etc…it’s pretty dark.

Maybe I'll save up for next year (if you both will be planning on attending 2025!). :)
Godspeed, boys!
@@TedReadInstead we will hit some con not sure which 1 yet. We will let all know when decisions are made though.
Jakob needs to come to the production meetings the pyrotechnic discussion was a real barn burner
@@RhysWritings ahhhh nice 1
This is so weird, but yours is the third youtube video I've watched today where the word epoch was used. Lol.
The other two were The Paleogene Period by Lindsay Nicole and When Were the First Ever Star Formed in the Universe by Dr. Becky.
Two great channels if you are a science nerd.
@@angelamccollister wow I am checking both of those out. Thanks!
@@angelamccollister not often I am in such company
Dogs of War sounds great
@@currangill430 I liked it a lot!
I'm in a slump because of Dark Age. The way things are going I think I'll finish it by the end of January.
@@radudumanovschi3387 that’s fair. Read it at the speed that works for you at this time. You are reading that is a major victory!
Yes journey before destination! I am excited to start my Gwynne journey this year I hope. Let me
Know if you try some Tchaikovsky.
@@Talking_Story Absolutely. I hope you love John Gwynne. He’s one of my favorites.
I’m wondering what John’s going to be reading on Weekly Reader 69……maybe some romantacy. Hehhehehhe
@@iSamwise
How many hours does it typically take you to hit your 100 pages in a day?
Depends on the prose. Usually 2 to 3 hours
Feel free to pick me up a signed Wind and Truth 😂
@@AndrewsWizardlyReads I’m sure they will just be laying around
@ well if one is lol 😂 ill reimburse you
@ you got it!
I don't know why Jakob is concerned about the pyrotechnics. Worst case scenario, you have a bunch or new friends to share books with. Granted, it's a captive audience in a jail cell, but they probably haven't read extensively.
@@christhewritingjester3164 oh I love this silver lining you just found!!
Dogs of War is very good - but there is even better Tchaikovsky IMO.
@@andyleighton3616 I look forward to getting to it!
@@RhinoViper I get it you got to go with what speaks to you! Pillars is on my shelf and I look forward to getting to it.
I read the first 23 volumes of one piece and it didn’t have the “sauce”. Best way to express it lol
@@zakskiver 23 volumes sounds like a fair shake. I will see what I think. What manga has the sauce in your opinion?
@ Berserk, Vinland saga and Vagabond. They just really know how to pull the emotion of the readers and the art is beautiful.
@ thanks I do have Beserk on the stack as well
@ good luck with the adventure!😎😃
Pooh is cheating! 😂😂
He claims he does not know how to cheat.
Got the week off, hoping to finish Howling Dark! Have a blast at the Sandercon!
Ohhh that’s a good 1! Hope you enjoy it!
