Very nice! I’ve only tried the native section. I love it, but the hike can be brutal to get to the prime spots. You’ve inspired me to try finding nice holes along the 20 mile section! Never thought there would be so many natives in the 20 mile section. Much respect for the C&R to keep the fishery healthy!

If you're ever up in NorCal hit up the Hat Creek area for some real nice trout. Up there a couple weeks ago got a real nice 20 inch rainbow.

Glad to see some success on this river! I'm camped up near the lake this week and couldn't figure out what they wanted today 😅 going back out tomorrow early, any fly suggestions?

@@zachangler6994 below the lake a bit, about 1/2 mile up river from miracle hot springs. Were you above or below the lake when you went out? I'm just visiting the area for a bit, cool river to hang out on!

@@capture_colorado I think you’re referring to the kern, this is a whole different river. But fly suggestions I have for you are small stonefly imitations, golden stones are popping right now I would try to tie one of those on for sure! Thanks for watching!

@@capture_colorado and below the lake you can get into some bass too so I would try throwing a small streamer preferably black. I’ve. Noticed the bass also like prince nymphs. I’m posting my kern river video tomorrow!

Most western sierra rivers are like this super deep and no wading points . Only bigass boulders .
