One of the neatest ways of making your own pike traces is by using a knotless knot to attach the treble (or single) hooks. This method borrowed from carp fishing, can be used with all types of wire and produces a very secure and strong connection - ideal for pike rigs.
If you want to make your own pike traces then this is a great way of starting out and even makes it very easy to make pop-up traces by attaching a polyball to the end of the wire.
