I like these POV on track. It is a missile and looks like it handles well for its weight and being AWD. Braking is where it shows weight, but man does it get out of the hole!!
All cars , incredible footage , and the great content of you channel aside, I truly appreciate you being so well spoken during all of it. Could listen to you on a podcast , and still get the same picture of your videos 👌🏼
I love the SF90!! But i can't wait to see the LaFerrari replacement by the end of this year! It is faster than LaFerrari on low and medium speed circuits and in acceleration up to 220km/h, after that speed and also on high speed circuits LaFerrari is faster! The SF90 does 0-300km/h in around 17s, the LaFerrari in around 15s with stock tyres, but if mounted with Cup 2R or Trofeo R tyres, it can do it in the 13s! Great content as always!!
@@janiskovalevskis In a rear wheel drive car, which would absolutely be traction limited when accelerating up to well over 100 km/h? I wouldn't rule it out...
@@janiskovalevskis There is many tests that prove what i said , if you dont understand the difference tires make, you never drive a fast car or bike for sure, and besides that few months ago a guy from Monaco made a video to show this on his instagram, testing his LaFerrari with different tires! He test with the stock tire than with Cup 2R , and on the video he said the Trofeo R do the same!
And, apparently the LaF replacement will be focused all on lightweight and driving dynamics, which is super exciting! I definitely think that a LaFerrari, if equipped with Cup 2 Rs, or Trofeos, would be just as quick, or quick than the SF90 on track.
I drove it in Spain last summer. A very fast car that also rides well, but all the electronic aids make it feel rather aloof on the road. Like Bugattis it impresses with its sheer speed, but leaves me cold emotionally.
I was watching right at the start of your laps how quick your speed was climbing, before you even mention it couldn't see the revs to well but I did notice the lights on the steering wheel a new way of showing the revs going up. Did anyone else notice this feature click on the like if you did
Just yesterday I was watching your video from Yas Marina with GT3 RS and Speciale. Interesting to see the top speed difference on the long straight. GT3 235 kph, Speciale 245 kph, SF90 265 kph. And that was just on the first lap, probably not the best this car can do.
I actually think Ferrari showed bravery releasing this car and have a segment all to themselves. Be interesting if they bring out a hot version with less weight.
Looking forward to see how it compares to upcoming Aston Martin Vahalla. You should compare it to the Porsche 918. Ferrari need to do a 288GTO homage version of this car with a similar front/rear look and side profile as that was the car that started the lineage and still the best looking modern Ferrari supercar
James Your impacting the Michelin community out here like never before love your content always.. keep up the good work.. would love to see you back in a speciale soon.. collector's piece
Interesting….I think you demonstrated how blisteringly quick doesn’t trump automotive sensory experience. You were complimentary about the SF90 but, giddy after tracking the Speciale. That doesn’t bode well for the future of performance cars, as I’m not sure how manufacturers are going to capture an analogue experience in a digital world…..I guess you’re going to become a collector of modern classic cars!
The LaFerrari is faster at speeds. Being only rear wheel drive and much lighter. Plus, it has nearly as much horsepower. If you did a big track and lots of high-end speeds. My money is on the LaFerrari to win.
Sf90 is the most powerful Ferrari road car It is also the quickest production supercar Iam suprised by the price btw Back in 2019 when Ferrari revealed it's price
This is an amazing machine but I always laugh knowing I can get extremely similar performance in a straight line at least from a V4R or any top of the range superbike for about $700,000 less... and have a lot more fun around a lap
True although the older you are the more you think about the effects of gravity on making a mistake on 2 wheels. I’d be perfectly happy with an M5 CS instead of this.
hey James wat is your opinion on the weight of the car and it’s handeling because i have ween a lot of reviews that say the car is great on a strate line but afwul through corners compared to a 911.2 gt3, pista or huracan sto and even a f8. Also they it is not the best grand tourer the ride om bumps feel rough and you are alot of nois outside. So what is in your opinion the purpose Ferrari in mind and how your views om the car?
Yeah you can definitely feel the weight, the physics of all wheel drive and electric drive components add up. It’s bonkers fast in a straight line but braking and in to corners perhaps not as agile as previous cars due to weight
The sf90 demolishes a 765lt if both of them have stock tires. The only way the mclaren can have nearly the same speed is by using toyo tires as dragtimes showed on video, but then again.. you put those tires in the ferrari and the sf90 would probably destroy it again obviously having 200 bhp more and awd traction
Beautiful car for those who want to own the most respected brand in the world. Just note that from a performance and technology perspective, this car will be outdated in less than 5 years. Like the LaFerrari that precedes it, it's value lies largely in the brand. From a strictly enthusiast's viewpoint, there are much better and far cheaper choices out there that will satisfy.
Always a fan of Ferrari and hopefully you don’t get hit with a cease and desist for putting Ferrari and Bugatti in the same title (just kidding of course).
I'm not a big fan of the car...yet. I've seen several now and the new design, while obviously hugely functional, is not a beautiful Ferrari. Where can you use that power other than on a track. And even though it's not a limited car, at AU$1,000,000 it's unobtainable to most of us.

ferrari ironically have everything EXCEPT the looks. they just dont look right. im sorry. some do,, most dont. its this new generation thats look as if design wise its trying way too hard. i can only guess that sales is great, but man, its not the ferrari of old, which were stunning but not undigestible.

The amount of power output must feel amazing when hitting the throttle!

you cant off take two seconds in a straight line just because of tires

Wasn't the Daytona the next LaFerrari? It was interesting but it didn't blow me away.
Driven a Assetto Fiorano SF90 last year in May. It’s a 1000BHP beast 👊
Awsome work my man...ur awsome keep it up..
Guys plz do share..those youtube algorithms are terrible not doing a good job of showing such a great work
Loved the POV angle James, incredible 😍😍😍
YEEEZZZ!!
Seems like brakes are the limiting factor due to the weight.
Great!
I noticed some small delay on the speedo of the passenger.
The SF90 Stradale is crazy and has set ridiculous lap times. It might be lacking in feel but it's got the speed.
Great video James, love the pov Angle…….do you think this car is usable as a road car?,all the reviews say it’s just too fast
I used it for 4 days and it was fine on the road 👍🏻
Big car collector in the UK put his up for sale after 1 day because he said its too small inside to use compared to an 488/f8

Should refer to this view mode as "Peasant mode" because it's as close as we'll get to driving a Ferrari for a while.

For now. Lamborghini will make this car irrelevant with something they have been cooking.

Even though it may have been a lot faster, it doesn't compare to the excitement you had driving the Speciale around the the track. Sums it up for me.
Its like most modern cars, its just fast, while the 458 may be slower, but there is so much emotions coming with it.
DAMN, that was fun! Mae ME smile!
James, you’re in Wales on some big roads in the SF90… how would the 992 Turbo S fair up to it? Would the Ferrari lose it? Cheers.

you're fast 👏👏
It would be cool if you could get your hands on the New Icona series- 3 or the New Ferrari 296 gtb
sooo.... after not even 2 laps the brakes where overheating? or it was just a 2 lap stint so its just normal to cool them down before fully stoping?
Wow i could almost feel all that understeer. Fun in a straight line i guess.
All production cars are setup to understeer for safety. Get a proper suspension geometry and it will be history.
Nice color car , this is the best looking Ferrari !
That’s sober damn quick dude!
Timothy - Shmee has got one of these on order.
I’ve fallen in love with this car
Both absolutely Fantastic 😎🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful car but it is just not different/special enough to deserve the price. Looks like an updated F8 Tributo or a Maserati MC20.
That spec but the spider version thank you very much

It is also the quickest production supercar
Iam suprised by the price btw
Back in 2019 when Ferrari revealed it's price
That is insane! But why do they put the added chicane into the layout, its the best part for sending it full whack!
Great video like always
So when are you going back the gt4/gt3 class racing plan James?
Fantastic.
you fell the extra weight compared to the F8 or a 488?
SENNNNNND IT!!
did he say they need to cool down the brakes?

5:00 - 5:15 was scary, haha thought it was going straight down the corner.
Does the instructor really have the same AP as James?
The car looks good but I’m not fond of the headlights. It’s gotta be insane to drive though.
same acceleration as 765LT, but relatively heavy, you can see it needs to slow much to turn

SF90 is like LaFerrari has to charge up that would not keep 100%HP for whole track, after qualify mode the rest time may be smoked by Mc
It preforms probably good enough to make you forget about the way it sounds
