This was an awesome ride and because we had experienced drivers, 2018 X3 RC, 2 Maverick R’s, Pro R, and the Speed #95 El Jefe with the latest tune.
Surprisingly the X3 RC was rolling on the stock 30” tires, and it didn’t have one flat or Breakdown, Probably still one of the best car for the money.
With the latest tune the El Jefe is super fast and capable.
Thanks for taking the expense of trying these new cars out and giving us all something to watch to form an opinion. I have a 2017 x3 and it looks like most of your problems with the Mav R are first year problems. I want one but wanted to wait a couple years so that they work some of these issues out and that their are parts available.
Your welcome. You are right most things will be resolved through recalls and updates whatever you wanna call it
This is a daily conversation we have. The X3 is still more than a capable machine and The Mav R has a lot of bugs to work out
I totally agree
Dude your videos rock! All real world experiences. Thank you for taking the time to document your experience. This definitely helps us all on the sidelines
Thanks hope it helps
“I could use that being 3 feet tall!” 😂😂😂
Back in 2017 I took my new X3 xrs for the maiden ride in North Phoenix. On the very first ride I got some rocks kicked up by the front tire and right into my wheel. The rocks destroyed the wheel and the axle boot. I read that it was a common problem, purchased Rock Knockers and drove it another 4600 miles, until I sold it, with no incidents.
Awesome thanks for the info
Did the same thing to my x3 back in the day and had to get the rock knockers. Not a big problem with 4 seaters. I've used that jb weld pudy to fix a hole in my radiator during a camping trip. Stuff works pretty good 👍.
Good to know!
Rock Knockers rule
Ya they worked great
Hey guys, we were just there a couple months ago. LOVE that area!
Awesome place for sure
That area looks just like Central Oregon....it's snowing at this minute. On my X3 I took a semi mud flap cut it in half. Then mounted if backward to the skid as far back as possible. When the wind hits it it's straight and blocks the rocks.... about a 30 to 35 dollar fix. After 8,000 miles no issue with rocks. I would suggest using truck bed liner on your trailing arms.
Thanks for the suggestion
just by aftermarket rims and tires like everybody else does or are those not available either
There wasn’t much for options unless you went billet but there are starting to come out now.
Looks like the Mav R has wheel scrapers on them. Take those off if they do.
It does have them we were planning on doing that too
So, what you’re saying is they become a “Trapper” more than a scraper?
@@MotoFish45 seems like it. I’m going to try it with just rock knockers but if issue arises I’ll take off the scrapers too
now it comes to the rearl battle time to compaire fairly, mav pro, speed bandit-polaris pro r where just YOU drive the best time out of this three.....the woerld is waining for this !
You guys were right in my area my shop M2W Off-Road is right by great American pizza. Did you visit any of our cool 12 desert bars between Golden shores and kingman
Nice. We
Like going up there specially in the summer
I live in Mesa and go all over Arizona, one of these days I'll have to come and ride with you guys......
Ya come to the track sometime
Would love to but it needs to cool down, it's to dam hot lol
@@chainsaw78_111 for sure
That ride looked like a blast. Great trails!
Ya a really fun place to go
Looks like a great ride!
It was!
had a buddy 20 years ago at Gordens be like, I have a oil well leak but ill just JB weld it and let it set for umm 18-20ish hours, I had to tow him home from comp 20 mins later.
Bummer
Funny how you can’t get a wheel but I was seeing racers with method wheels on there Maverik Rs
We had called around and nothing but now wheels are becoming available this was technically a few weeks ago
We are talking about stock CanAm wheels.
I knew your can am was down. But what happened to the driveshaft? I must have missed that.
Snapped it in half. I have it now but made a few videos with it before I got it back.
Rock Knockers to protect a 300,00 wheel, try a 150.00 helmet to protect your 0000.00 Noggin.... LOL
I wear a helmet every time occasionally I see the other guys not wear one but I recommend them for sure
The Rock knockers for the X3 were awesome not so much for the r
Was that the wash down from gold king mansion to Blake ranch road
Moss Wash
3 ft tall? figured at least 3' 6"! LOL
Thanks for the extra 6 haha
That built is toasted from driver error that's from burning it when the front pulley is small and standing on it learn to drive and you won't fry a belt in that manner
We didn’t stop much, and the Speed clutch runs a little warm. We were on the tail end of the trip when it went down, and the Speed belt is easy to change, so it wasn’t a big deal
Don't Pro R's come with something similar (Rock Knockers) stock?
Yes they do it’s nice they put a couple things on it already
By the way, that Maverick R sounds awesome
Thanks
Real men don’t wear gloves. They will also drink right from the garden hose, and steel stick works awesome and should be in every side by side tire repair kit.
i got four take off wheel and tires with 250 miles on em and one spare repaired wheel (tig welded crack) off my Mav R XRS id sell
Ya they arent very good I was going to try and buy one as a spare but trying to decide if that’s even worth it
Where are you located and how much?
@@UTV-A york PA. probably no were near you guys but freight shipping on a pallet would be pretty cheap. $200 a piece for the 3 used wheels and tires, $300 for the new wheel and tire. (has used beadlock ring, rim and tire are new) i just bought KMC's and 35's so ill never use em
Buy red tire plugs, fixes 3 finger slits in 5 minutes on trail and no need to put a tube in tire
Thanks I’ll try that sometime
The hole was the size of a golf ball. Unfortunately plug’s couldn’t help.
If it was a hole probably not work but itf it was a slit even 4 fingers wide the red plugs will work . We usually bust at least 1 tire every ride and the red plugs have never let us down or you can use the Tire slugs for round holes
@@UTV-A
What GPS do you guys run and would you recommend running tubes in all your tire all the time? I live on the east coast and it’s very rocky.
People use all different GPS systems and Apps, I just purchased the Garmin Tread, and I’m more than satisfied with the unit, and mounts.
Avenza maps, and OnX OffRoad are really good as well.
I don’t think you need tubes but if you do a lot of rock crawling get a rock purpose tire like Rockzilla or something something with a high ply
Im here just to watch another speed break
Have you asked if they will make rock knockers for the Speed?
Not yet
Is it like like like way way way BAD?
Just saying if you guy's spread out a little more you will have less troubles, unless your scard of getting lost..
Video footage will be boring to watch and we like to drive like we’re racing. I get that is why some issues happen definitely are fault sometimes
For sure! That is what happened on two of the flats
I see sounds good.@@desertsxs
What trail system is this--it's beautiful.
Basically Havasu to Kingman and back
Dude love the entertaining videos but I do think your cameras need to be upgraded. Time for some HD videos!
Thanks. When channel starts getting the support financially to where it’s not just a loss every month that will be something I will do also.
Honestly, the more simple the better! Unplanned, impromptu, real, and unscripted is the most fun
PARKERS KAWASAKI in pahrump nv
Got a beanie, Goggles, headsets, why not be Smart and just put a Helmet on? Dont care about yourself or family? jus sayin.... Great content either way.
I always where a helmet some guys I. Notice only half the time.
#1 rule… never run oem wheels if you drive hard… you guys should know that!!!!
Waiting for more variety of wheels to come out for the car
@@UTV-Acheck out raceline, zrp, kmc, all have wheels out🤙
@@UTV-A check out raceline, zrp, kmc all have some solid options available
