      It's because Bengalis, Bangladeshis specifically, don't give themselves any notice. Most "Indian" restaurants in the west are actually run by Bangladeshi families. But instead of serving Bengali food, they'll serve Indian stuff. How do you expect our culture to become prevalent when we ourselves give no attention to it?

    I feel very happy Bangladesh being represented. I love the familiar but different Bengali dialect than we have in Indian Bengal. love to all my Bangladeshi brothers and sisters from Indian Bengal. It was very nice to hear the Bangladeshi dialect of Bengali.in West Bengal, every town or district has a different dialect. Joy Bangla. Jai Hind.

    I am from Calcutta and have lived in NY. I have been to all those restaurants in Jackson Heights to eat the food that actually tastes like authentic bengali food. The bhorta, the pona maach, the chingri maach, even the chicken curry always tasted much more authentic than what the Indian restaurants been selling. The kacchi polao is always good too. Moreover, the staff always used to welcome me with a smile and called me 'Apu' (sister) and it brought tears to my eyes.

    • @antaraanikapiya
      @antaraanikapiya 2 года назад

      That’s great. Btw, I don’t know what you mean by kacchi polao. We have polao which is aromatic rice cooked in ghee and some spices. And kacchi biriyani is a whole different thing which is a Bangladeshi biriyani made with mutton in dum style.

    This so called Indian Cuisine actually derived from Bangladesh not from India.
    If u go back to the history u can see that the first Indian food movement was started in UK, and it was started by Sylheti People of Bangladesh.
    When they started their restaurant business in UK there wasn't any country called Bangladesh neither India. It was British India that's why people used the name Indian for their identity.
    And still to this date almost 98% of Indian restaurants in UK is owned by Bangladeshi origins people not Indian.
    I know some people will get hurt but this is the truth.
    Bengali from Bangladesh are behind the enormous popularity of Indian food throughout the world.

      Japanese Curry also derived from the same place. Submariners taught their counterparts in Japan how to make Curry. In the history books it will say Indian submariners but scrape the surface, they were Sylhetis who went to Singapore and Hong Kong
