When it will be once again easier to travel, I would love to visit Bangladesh and get to know the culture! Thank you so much for this amazing video!

There isn't words for how much this family should be thanked and appreciated for their great cooking. I plan on making a dish in their memory for mother's day (USA) tomorrow. A father of 7 blessing a mother of 7 with all she loves to eat.
I agree. I think our palates are somewhat similar. May be that's why our food also share a lot of similarities in texture and preparation and I am sure it would also have lots of similarities in the taste as well.
Feeling proud as a Bengali and Bhaiya thanks for showing our culture to Mark . You were just awesome and APA ka onke dhonyobad ato sundor kore proper Bengali foods gulo ranna korar jonno . ❤️❤️❤️ 🙏 love from India
I normally don't watch full food vlogs from any Bangladeshi or from any foreigner on Bangladeshi food because all look the same. But for the first time, I am in love with these series and am watching all the Bangladeshi series of Mark again and again. It looks so genuine and simple. Thank you Petuk couple for arranging everything, especially this Kushtia series. That effortless and straightforward simplicity represents that part of Bangladesh.
Oh- I am loving this series on Bangladesh soooo much! Learning so much about this amazing little country with the great big culture. The food is just incredible wherever you go, the friendly people love to share; good food brings us all together. MashaAllah!
Being a Bengali, all our love to you Mark and your family for showing your compassion and love for us especially the mouth watering dishes. A BIG Thank you to all of you 🙏 ❤️.
Impressed, humbled, and enlightened. The kindest and most generous of hospitality Just showing that food crosses and eliminates all boundaries in mankind.
The market reminds me of the fish markets of Kolkata where I grew up. Would love to experience authentic Bangladeshi 🇧🇩 cuisine someday. - a Bengali from Mumbai, India 🇮🇳
Seriously, in foreign countries us Bengalis whether from east or west, when we find each other , we feel at home. It is a different feeling of knowing these are your people.
There are quite some dissimialrities from the food of Indian Bengalis and Bangladeshi Bengalis. For example most of your dishes are vegetarian based. Whereas our cuisine is more meat and fish based. So it’s safer to term our cuisine as, Bangladeshi cuisine instead of Bengali cuisine.
@@antaraanikapiya thats a misconception. We eat a variety of fishes and meat. The ghoti people may eat some fish that bangals don't or vice versa and in mixed families they have a knowledge of both. the cooking masalas and techniques may be different to suit our pallate but its no way veg based lol

I'm following your Bangladesh series from the beginning. If you look around, you can find lots of renowned food bloggers visited Bangladesh in last few years. They followed a trend, tasted a set of dishes...visiting old Dhaka, try some festival dishes like biriyani, mejban etc. Though you have shown those, you are also introducing variety of day to day dishes of Bangladesh. This is something new and amazing. Love and respect for you, man. We should also give a thank to petuk couple and their gang. ❤️

Thankyou so for coming in Bangladesh and representing our country
I think Mark is very happy to come in Bangladesh. Because Mark has never made so many videos about food of any country as much as he has made about Bangladeshi food.He has made about 7/8 videos about Bangladeshi food.As a Bangladeshi, I am proud of my country's food.
He has in China, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka you can see it on his channel but the dishes in Bangladesh hits differently the variety of delicious dishes & street food are amazing
As a Pakistani I can somehow relate to the food especially that dinner menu , khichri, achaar, ghee n all that but as a sea food lover I would love to try all those dishes of breakfast & lunch 😋😋😋 that crispy fish 😋😋 everything is mouthwatering from breakfast to dinner 🤤🤤🤤
So much respects goes out to the lady (Auntie) cooking all of these delicious dishes. You can tell she cooks with her heart on her sleeves, she is very humble and cooking with a beautiful smile, bless her. I really wish I could try some of her cooking it all looks so amazing and delicious so it was so nice of Mark and Rasif to share their experiences to us. The hospitality in Bangladesh is second to none and as an American I have experienced that first hand on my travels to Bangladesh, they are simple people with a big warm heart. My best friends family are back in Bangladesh and I can’t wait to go back there again I really miss the food, hospitality and cultural traditions of the Bengali people of Bangladesh.
I must confess that literally I was hardly able to stop doing mouth watering. I've watched all the previous videos on Bangladesh series. But this is the one I had to struggle with mouth watering! Thank you so much everyone, whoever are involved for making this video whether behind the scene or in front, and of course special thanks to the lady who has been cooking whole day, because I know very well this from my mum's everyday's life.
A couple of interesting facts about the rivers & fishes of Bangladesh: There are 700+ rivers in Bangladesh, the most in any country. if you go to google map and watch a satellite view you'll see that the river system of Bangladesh is like a very intricate vein-like pattern on the earth. Bangladesh itself is also the biggest natural delta in the world, resulting in great biodiversity for freshwater fishes. Because of that, 90% of the fish Bangladeshi people consume are freshwater fish. In terms of preparing fish, we mostly cut fish into steaks rather than doing fillet or butterfly like in the west. Also "boneless fish dishes" are very rare in Bangladesh because we specialize in eating fish with bones and everything :P nice vid as always.
100% agreed. But we also do fish bharta, in different ways, but these are painstakingly deboned by the preparer. Mark there is also Ilish bharta, and Ilish pulao. Ilish truly is the signature fish of Bangladesh.
Mark, I love and respect your unbridled enthusiasm for showcasing cultures through their food and people. As a Bangladeshi, I have been following and thoroughly enjoying your Bangladesh tour and the way you have highlighted our food, people and hospitality. Great work as always.
Hey man, great to see you here! Indeed, food brings people together. Been watching your pokemon videos for a while, love your collabs with Shady! Cheers from Bangladesh!
petuk couple did really good job unfolding all types of Bangladeshi food . happy that someone introduce most Bangladeshi food like panta vat, vorta, achar, all kind of fish , khichuri . Good job 👍
Eating all that breakfast with your hands in Asia was a treat Mark, they say be a Roman in Rome, you are exclusive when it comes to food and travel vlogs, awesome treat and a great video, thanks for posting it. Also note, among all the foreigners who make video in India Bangladesh and Pakistan, you are the one who knows how to eat the food the right way with your hands
Bangladeshi hospitality is incomparable to any. Even if you go the Bengal part of India you will be surprised to see how dry they're. Bangladeshi people become the happiest when they can make the guest happy. And refusal to eat is actually an insult for the host, in that case you're a great guest. 😁
yes @Brown_shark, i have just realised that you are so right. If I refute to eat the food that someone offered me, then it is considered a little bit rude in here. My Mom and sister love to cook when guests come over to our place. if the guest don't try any specific dish, then they feel like the food was not good enough for the guest. Complement the food some made for you is, the best thing you can do as a guest ☺☺☺☺
Yes it's true, we bangalis are very very much fond of fish and rice and it's one of our identities. Lots of love for the people of Bangladesh from an Indian bangali. Amr sonar bangla ami tomaye bhalobasi ❤
@@sakuraharuno4667 other Indians copy Bengali culture, btw, Tamils are also ancient people and culture. Muslims mostly eat meat and fish dishes. Hindi belt(more than 500m) has a lot of vegetarians, but Muslims there also large percentages, who make a lot of Mughal Indian dishes like in Bengal. but Bengal has a varsity of freshwater fishes(231 species) and numerous vegetables. Recently they are growing western and other Asian fruits and vegetables.
Thanks to Mr Rasif for representing hospitality like general Bangladeshi people and just not guide the guest to hotels or streets... This is the spirituality! This is very rare nowadays... Another thing...Rice is the best food of the world i think...This food has so variations and so healthy to digest and absorb!
Everyone in our country is so sincere that we easily behave like other family members, I am proud because I am a Bangladeshi,, Thank You Mark For Visiting my beautiful country ❣️🇧🇩
Although I am not from bengladesh these foods reminded me of home, the borders may be divided for the political reasons but it's the culture which always reunites us. The breakfast table reminded me of home and my mouth is watering too😢
We always talk about how great you are Mark but today on Mother's Day, a special shoutout should go to Ying! Your wife is such a humble & kind person. Even though we don't hear much from her, her generosity shines through. Sending love from New York!
I live in Assam, Northeast India and these fish dishes are just like how we cook them maybe our ancestors borrowed the dishes from them , but i was in awe as the recipes and food habits are exactly the same. Even with Bengalis in India there can be slight differences but with Bangladesh its the same so nice to see. I was drooling at the Elish maach , its my favourite 😋😋😋
Beautiful Bangladeshi people and food once again. But, Mark, I can't help notice that once again, you called a goose a giant duck. You did the same thing up in the Arctic circle. I want to go to Bangladesh and eat all their food. Love the joy of the people and their love for their cultural food. Yummy.
Middle and upper-class people eat like that They have servants and some have cooked at home. I used to go to a lawyer's home almost every day in the evening or weekend and his brother-in-law is my close friend and we studied in Europe, where I met my friend. He had two women for cooking, cleaning homeand take care of his two small children. He treat them as family members (one was a widow). both wives and husbands work, so they kept those two women.
As a Bangladeshi this is what comes in my mind if someone says "real authentic Bangladeshi food". Hats off to that cute aunty for cooking and representing our food so well. It's so mouthwatering...
Looks so delicious and the fact that yall do a variety of foods is amazing.. I love the fresh ingredients and all love and seasons to prepare the meals
What a great host you were!! I wish I could also get a chance to enjoy every food at your place just like Mark. I am sure he had a volcano of flavors with every single dish he had! Nothing can ever match a home cooked food, in my opinion.
You just have to love that Mark has like 70 different "Mhhmm's" and they all mean different stages of tasty or comfort within the Food and People. That just even more so show's how lovely he is.
If you visit during early winter, one of the specialties is fish curry with sheem (mange tout), potatoes, cauliflower and tomatoes. The broth is soupy, and goes wonderfully well with rice.

Everything same don’t forget we’re also Bengali
@Mritunjoy Bose absolutely we are 1 nobody can divide Bengalis
Seriously, in foreign countries us Bengalis whether from east or west, when we find each other , we feel at home. It is a different feeling of knowing these are your people.
This woman should be given an award. Such a loving cook.
This one probably the best episode of Bangladeshi food journey of yours..cause this shows the real homely foods of our everyday life...
As a Bengali from India I love every food of Bangladesh. And a big thanks to Mark for showing the world authentic Bengali food, and village flavour.
@@antaraanikapiya we eat non veg food quite regularly.
This is only & only Bangladeshi cuisine. Not even mix up with west bengals & Indian cuisine. Enough is enough. Please. Thanks.

I also can't to stop mouth watering 😂😂
A couple of interesting facts about the rivers & fishes of Bangladesh:
There are 700+ rivers in Bangladesh, the most in any country. if you go to google map and watch a satellite view you'll see that the river system of Bangladesh is like a very intricate vein-like pattern on the earth. Also "boneless fish dishes" are very rare in Bangladesh because we specialize in eating fish with bones and everything :P
nice vid as always.
Thank you very much for these insights Sabbir
Nicely explained...

Only Indian bengalis know that Bangladesh didn't copy culture from India.. am I right?
@@sakuraharuno4667 other Indians copy Bengali culture, btw, Tamils are also ancient people and culture. Muslims mostly eat meat and fish dishes. Hindi belt(more than 500m) has a lot of vegetarians, but Muslims there also large percentages, who make a lot of Mughal Indian dishes like in Bengal. but Bengal has a varsity of freshwater fishes(231 species) and numerous vegetables. Recently they are growing western and other Asian fruits and vegetables.

Auntie seems so sweet and gracious and my hope is that she is truly well and not being mistreated when company is not present.
