    I have no idea who the commentator is talking about, but none of these guys have "an extensive swimming background". I think for most of them, this was their first time swimming without armbands.

      @@lost_in_asia CrossFit is about being well rounded not being great at one thing. All these guys back squatting 400+ and snatching over 250+. And doing 8 test in 2 days

      @@AlexJuric cool bro but I bet you can’t lift. Try focusing on several things at once and getting good at them all, not great. It’s a very challenging sport. It’s pretty easy to get excellent at one thing if you focus on it. It’s why decathletes are the best athletes in the world, they are well rounded. As high level cross fitters are without a doubt the fittest people in the world. If you don’t agree, you’ve obviously never did the workouts.

    i have never seen the technique used by the guy on machine 21 at 11 mins, - stroke - take 2 seconds to compute - stroke again. Fair play to em for having a go at something they clearly dont do in usual training.

    One would think that if the crossfit organisers were keen to grow the games, they would create events that are appealing to watch on TV.

      It would be much more appealing to watch if the athletes involved looked like they where being competitive in the event rather than just trying to survive. It never fails to surprise me how Ill prepared some of them are even though all the big events seem to have some sort of swim in it

    How does that treadmill work when it comes to pace? I didn't see anyone modify it while they ran so does it change its pace automatically?

      They are self propelled. No motor. The faster you run the faster you move the tread. Think hamster wheel.

      some pathetic pace it seems. Like 2 min per 500m or 1.55. Though their swimming is so bad that it doesn't matter much)

      @@calebnorrisguitar4651 In women's part they have same challenge and it was 2000m i'm pretty sure. 1.40 is not real for them without dying after. Look at the lack of tech. Look at them in the transition zone. Ez beathing. That's not a 400w performance.

      @@IKolpikov the description says 2500m row, and the commentators say it’s a 2500m row as well.
      I could easily manage 1:55 splits for 2000m (7:40), as I’ve gone 7:23 as a pb. That’s whilst acknowledging I’m a pretty poor rower!
      1:40 seems about right for these tough chaps!

      @@pookiehoney Pfizer CEO just said the first two jabs doesn’t prevent Covid infection, neither does the booster, but the booster may prevent hospitalizations. So much for the 95% efficacy. Covid spreads amongst the vaccinated and unvaccinated alike. Life has to go on. Great to see these events!

      All of them are tested. But there’s ways around them for sure. Can’t take away the fact these guys train 4-6 hours a day

    Games organizers should stop making those crossfit guys do stuff they are not good at. As a triathlete (and runner first) I can't do but laugh at such a freak show. It doesn't do justice to those athletes competing. I would have destroyed them all on this row-swim-run, and that is not even because I am that good. They are just outside their field of competence. Make them do things more suited to their background or training. I want to be impressed, not laugh.

      It’s literally called fucking CrossFit bro. CROSSTRAINING. It’s about challenging people in ways they wouldn’t expect. Constant varied functional fitness. If they only gave them things they’re good at it would defeat the purpose of the challenge.

Pfizer CEC just came out and said his first 2 vaccine shots offer little prevention against Omicron infection, but the 3rd shot provides some protection against hospitalization, but not infection. So the whole vaccine narrative has just been blown up, and I’ve been jabbed 3 times. Is it possible that we’ve been lied to about the effectiveness of vaccines? Life must go on, so I’m glad to see these events!
