1:24:53 - Malheiros with his entire body beyond the line, while Mathews is still in the air, behind the line.
I think the chip was in his right foot instead of his left so both of their right feet crossed at the same time.
Felipe Landim Malhieros got robbed.
He strutted across, while his opponent leaped, extending his leg, so the other guy got the chip on his ankle across first.
Fikowski had it on the 350LBS sandbag, I wish he was a bit more patient

@1:24:52 When Malheiros' left foot with the chip was already on the deck, Mathew's left foot was still on the ground. How can they be tied?
I believe the finish line is the line on the deck between the gray and the red areas in which case the opposite is true. 1:24:51 shows Mathews left foot slightly ahead at the line that I am referencing. But that's just my opinion. That said I'm pretty sure the finish line isn't just "the deck".
malheiros won that clean. i prefered when they had to hit the individual buzzer at the end to stop the clock, matthew knew he didn't win it too

Great event, but the tie makes no sense. If the line is the red area on the deck then Malheiros is cleary the winner. (@1:23:51) - If the line is between the red and gray area then Matthews is the winner @1:23:52
This is one of the things that can make the CrossFit games quite irritating: Why isn't it clear to everyone (athletes and spectators) where the finish line is? You don't get this kind of confusion in other sports (not to mention inconsistency of calls sometimes)
The Athletes are told where the Line is. If Gui would have finished instead of Celebrating, he would of taken it. But he had to punch his chest instead of finishing.

It was not a tie, Malheiros won, just put play speed 0.25 and you can easily see it. Shame on organization
It’s based on an electronic device on their left ankle. So it’s when their left ankle goes across the line. There was another controversy in a previous Games year when they were doing shuttle sprints. I believe It was Dan Baileys hand going across first but the electronic device was on the ankle, so he got second.

the inconsistency of the calls regarding when a sand bag is correctly shouldered is kind of disappointing.
Tim Paulson in particular he got away with 3 lifts with it sitting on his chest whilst leaning backwards 😂😂

Eventually, someone is going to snap a leg doing the chip-timer-shuffler over the line. The clock should stop when the work is done. When the last sandbag hits the floor, the work is done. Put a chip in the bags. Put a pressure sensor on the floor. Something has to be able to work better than athletes face-planting over barbells, sliding into the wall....
Bozman moves to doing Dave Castro's job and the judging falls to hell....this is the worst year for judging and overshadowed how great the events are

I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ruclips.net/user/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
When CrossFit-commentators speculate on techniques for a new movement that is actually just copied from another sport where they already have a (or a few) common standard well tested techniques. Maybe RESEARCH a little before trying to be an expert. Same during the bike-event. Chase has never any clue but talks nonstop. >
I just love how they change the shot in the middle of their celebtation after their lift.... 🙄

back problems sign them up, the form was horrible for most of the athletes all using their back at some point. Hope the win comes with medical benefits!
Its a high performance competition, and like many other high performance sports the form isn´t aways perfect, furhter in a strogman event like this..

Amateurs. This year has the worst filming, worst explanation on points given, and worst website explaining what's going on. You guys didn't even know RUclips would time out your live stream during the Sand Bag event.

One of the first events in men's for me where they messed up, and let 2 guys skip a lap, was following the actual "leader", then out of no where Ricky came blasting through and won and they were so shocked as they'd missed him. Where's the explanation for that mess, just skimmed over and covers next event. Otherwise I'm enjoying the coverage, but would just like them to show the time advantage on bike or foot race, so you can see someone is 7 seconds ahead etc..
I agree! And what about showing the winner high fiving the crowd, getting a water and drinking it…etc , instead of show everyone else behind crossing the finish line…
If Gui would of been worried about finishing, Instead of Celebrating, he would of won Clean. I guess having a Celebration he can post on TikTok is more important than winning....
