No, the actual idea was how good they could collect information and persist under difficult circumstances where no one is supposed to know the answer also under pressure, knowing that if they fail, they're letting their entire squad fail with them. The test wasn't about what you wrote down, it was about stealth and endurance. That's why people like Naruto passed cuz he had crazy mental endurance to not give up, even though he failed woefully in stealth and information gathering😂😂😂

I think they had to get caught cheating 3 times to be kicked out. The only ones I could say did more than one thing in their attempts were Ino, Kankuro, Tenten, and technically Kiba. Though personally; I'd have called out the last two for being so obvious about it.
but you need to remember the examinators shouldn't know that since the purpose of the exam was to see how good you are at gathering information from the enemy and the enemy wouldnt know your abilities so seeing a dog barking or 2 guys staring at someone wouldnt be considered weird
I think the proctors did notice but most of them stayed within the five strike rule, so even if it was obvious they were still in the clear. Theoretically you could just blatantly look at someone’s test and copy all their answers and you’d still be safe because it was only one instance of cheating.

If anything it just showed how unskilled as ninja they truly are lol
You forget the one fact that they wanted them to cheat to see how sneaky they are as Ninja
The mirror has me weak!
They legit walked in probably said damn someones kinky and kept walking?!?!
Plot armor really helping them there
The examiners said that they let people slide if they thought they were cheating in creative ways, but if you were just being super obvious about yea they fail you
Technically Naruto didn't cheat because he didn't even take the test
I think everyone forgot about my man who really had one of the guards replaced with his puppet lol
They didn’t have a guard replaced he just added one in
@@BlueBlazeKing I think you're right I think I thought that he replaced one because there was just an extra chair for the guard puppet while the proctors knew exactly how many of them there were
I mean, there’s a difference between the AUDIENCE being able to see, and what the characters IN THE SHOW see.
I figured it was just narrative shortcuts so that we, watching the show, can tell what’s going on.
Shikamaru must have genuinely not given a fuck, because he was the smartest person in the room, he could’ve used his super discrete shadow possession on Ino and Choji and gotten a perfect score on the test for all three of them, and instead he let Ino take the risk of using her conspicuous body swap power three whole ass times *and* assuming Sakura had enough correct answers to pass when Ino possessed her *and* would remember those answers correctly to write them on her own, then Choji’s, then his paper.
That's true, but i think its also about what means they have to cheat not just being obvious
I would say that all of them were caught, but because of how good their methods were, they were qualified
Plus they only failed if they were caught 5 times, so there’s leeway
Even if were to believe the ninjas were being lenient about catching others cheat, Ten Ten should have been kicked out with how obviously stupid it was.
It was making sure they didn't get caught 5 times. So effectively those with less stealthy ways of cheating effectively had 4 changes to do what they can do, before they have to think of a new strategy or quite cheating all together.
I feel like the test should've been more practical in a certain environment, kinda like spies
Yea but if they did get caught we wouldn't of have a anime maybe that was the point its not about cheating but how u cheat thats what they wanted to see they didn't even show how the guy behind Naruto was cheating they just he cheating but didn't show what he did.
I think the point was to cheat in interesting ways, those that didn’t cheat at all were failed. Then we have Naruto making a speech.
Plot armor even in school.
Now that I'm older that does make sense. Even though they relieved 2 guys they planted to cheat off at the end.
I think the Sound Ninja(I forgot his name) did it best.
Ino deadass possessed a student in front of their very eyes and they didn’t say *shit* 💀
The power of plot armor
In naruto's defense, he only tried to cheat once before deciding it wasn't worth it.
Thank you!!!! Finally somone address this issue. No way they passed it, that damn test was rigged.
@Martin Toledo Watch the video man, during the actual written test anyone caught cheating is disqualified.
Her method was very noticeable, and the fact none of the observers didn't notice is odd to say the least.
I feel like the thing with the instructors is that it can’t be obvious cheating. Maybe they wanted them to use Jutsus to get answers. That’s literally the only way to explain that shit
That's the point they should cheat that's the whole point of the exam
The 'point' of the exam was to cheat undetected. Getting information without exposing your methods. Think the Hitman games or something, trying to do a job without letting people know you don't belong there.
@@ImPersonNation the thing that people don't know is that chakra is invisible in the Naruto only the elite can sense these techniques that's why zabuza said in the first arc that kakashi's technic is soo strong he can almost see it with is own eyes because the moves are invisible we can only see them because we are the audience
@@freedomprice9173 Tenten's mirror, Kiba's dog barking, and Ino's unconscious act
I'll let Gaara and Sasuke slide in 'this' instance, but not the other characters
@@ImPersonNation how the hell would anyone know a BARK is a code and ino's unconscious act is her technic and you are forgetting the fact that this is a test on how they would cheat and you also forgetting the fact that the teacher knew they are cheating but it's about the way they cheated is what made the deference
watched this episode yesterday with some friends and i said the same thing
Wait, I thought Naruto was one of the few that didn't cheat.
The rule is that they cant get caught multiple times, not that they couldn't get caught.
Those ninja are straight blind
I would argue that for us it is obvious because we have more information. A lot of people in the leaf dont know the full powers of other clans/ninja of the leaf duo to secrecy.
I can see gaara passing if he just you know shrunk the eyeball down a lot
lol all true! BUT, the rule was to get caught a certain amount of times if I remember correctly. And a lot of these kids cheating strategy was likely a one-and-done method. And that grace period makes sense to me for their age group. They are only training for chunin level, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they have zero chances to get caught if it was for achieving jonin rank.
To be fair, they were president testing how well their techniques would work on civilians, against the bare minimum competence expected from a brand new Chunin.
Finally someone acknowledged this
You have to get caught 5 times to fail. That is probably the only reason Neji, Tenten and Sasuke passed.
Almost everyone but Sakura, Naruto and Shikamaru cheated.
Once again, Shino is goated
It was a test of how covert they can be.
But literally everyone and they mama know what an Uchiha is, so activating the eyes is like... bro I can see your eyes
Agreed. The plot was thiccer than Megan Thee Stallion on this one.
It was such an iconic episode.
Did you all forget that Gara third eye is invisible to others. That's what it was stated
Nah but for real, if the whole class cheats, the school ducked up.
My thoughts exactly for years
It’s all about plot armor
I gues im going to have to be the one that gives Sakura her credit. Sakura straight up knew the answers she didnt even need to cheat. This was great foreshadowing for how intelligent she was going to be in shippuden
Maybe they just that good 😭😭
The tenten thing has always bothered me. Like, how did girly even get the mirrors up there in the first place????
that's what we call strong plot armor
To be fair they had plot no jutsu on their side
Funniest thing to me was when naruto tried to cheat he legit looked at Hinatas paper and looked back and forth but somehow he only got his FRIGGIN NAME ON HIS PAPER???!!!
The whole point was to not get caught 5 times, as far as we know each member only cheated once so that’s why they weren’t disqualified outright. Had it been “Get caught once and you’re out” then this would be a valid point
Honestly I would’ve at least had someone from the main cast get caught but Naruto was just being slipped the answers by Hinata if I remember correctly.
Naruto himself didnt cheat though. He didn't write anything on his sheet.
Ten ten LMAOOOO 😂
It's called plot armor
Bro it's called "plot armor" duuh
I think they had to get caught cheating 3 times to be kicked out. That said; I can't remember if they made it clear what separated the act into 3 different attempts given how most who did cheat only did one thing.
This is what they get for not studying
To be fair, Naruto did get caught but they have to catch you multiple times
I think the proctors did notice but most of them stayed within the five strike rule, so even if it was obvious they were still in the clear. Theoretically you could just blatantly look at someone’s test and copy all their answers and you’d still be safe because it was only one instance of cheating.
