    Grier is not going to cut him. Tua's here until a new GM/head coach are in situ with the latitude to tear it down and eat a couple of losing seasons.
    Quality organisations can find quality QB's without having to pick in the top 3. Tua's good enough to keep us in that 7-10 win purgatory, but this isn't a quality organisation. We'll only find a more complete QB by picking the right time to have a 3-14 season.

    • @robertgrady9020

      Sorry, bro but Grier’s incompetency and McDaniel’s coaching has let us down. You’re placing too much responsibility on one position. Trent Dilfer, Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler, Brad Johnson, etc. Have all won Super Bowls and they aren’t even close to elite quarterbacks. Championships are one in the trenches. We didn’t even have a good enough defensive line this past year to win a championship. We had the 32nd ranked offensive line. And yet with two of playing, we are still middle of the road. Tom Brady did not come to this franchise because he looked at our offensive tape, and I quote him., “ there is nowhere to go with the ball and 1.5 to 2 seconds.” That’s why he never came to this franchise when approached by Ross. Everyone needs to get their focus off of our quarterback and start complaining about the trenches and coaching. No, he’s not a mobile or durable quarterback. I’m sorry, but Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen would not win a championship here with this roster. Maybe those 3 would win a playoff game.

    • @Mr01dschool
      @Mr01dschool 14 дней назад +1

      Yes, this is a terrible way to build a team. It was done this way because the GM is below average when it comes to drafting. The top teams know how to get rid of older players before they decline and draft players to replace them.

    • @ThreadedThoughts
      @ThreadedThoughts 14 дней назад

      Its only built badly if you think this product is a failure I for one think there's a lot of potential still. When we extended Tua we committed to this Team for 3 more years guaranteed so we might as well push the money off until then and if he continues to disappointed we can eat the money after that. who knows where the cap will be at in 3 years anyway.

    • @Mr01dschool
      @Mr01dschool 14 дней назад +3

      @ThreadedThoughts
      The product has proven to be a failure. 6 years into Grier's rebuild, the team has not won a single playoff game. Now the team is in a bad situation capwise with a below average roster.
      The team has over 20 needs to fill with very little resources to fill those needs.
      Compare the Dolphins team with the top teams in the league, and they're not very close.

    Good GMs build primarily through the draft. It’s much more difficult because you haven’t seen them play against NFL competition. It keeps your roster younger and cheaper. Build through FA is easier but you end up in the constant ebb and flow of cap space / cap hell. Difficult to sustain excellence like Brady’s Patriots or Mahomes’ Chiefs.

    This is way off topic but might be cannon fodder for a good video Doug. Everyone always wants to show the coach the door, just wonder who everyone thinks would have fixed Miami. I also think we all fall into the new greatest thing, I mean no one has even mentioned Bienemy for a head coaching job remember when he was the hot commodity? Just wonder who we all think would complete the job at hand.
    Full disclosure I want to give the man more time, think he should bring in a true OC because I think he needs help with in game adjustments and think Mike is a high IQ guy that overthinks the simple things. I also think Mike needs to focus on whole team and the OC should run that side of things. Most coaches dont call plays look at KC Andy Reed probably most experienced Head coaches in the game and he has a true OC.
    So if we are looking for things to talk about in January maybe we need to touch on who at this moment would do a better job than the man we got, im just wondering what the peanut gallery thinks. Might do the same thing for G.M. I would like John Dorsey guy seems to win everywhere he goes.

    I am good with the restructure, but I understand not doing so, as well. The idea of moving on in 2025 is ridiculous. This QB class from college is not good, and there isn't a free agent that could really do the job. Tua is a good quarterback, but he needs an offensive line. Especially since he's made of glass. If we're going to move on from him, it needs to be in 2026 or beyond when we can find a good replacement. That said, I'm not on the ditch Tua wagon. I'd rather actually give the guy protection and a bruiser to go with Achane from the backfield like how the Lions used Montgomery and Gibbs. (Shout out to Gibbs from being from where I'm from.)

    After Grier does all his maneuvers to fix his mistakes the last 3 years, the dead cap numbers on players that the new coach and GM won't want to keep after Grier and McDaniel get fired during or after 2025 will hurt the team going forward for another two years. The team in 2025 is going to be filled will all the draft picks, which is 10 players because they can't afford a bunch of free agents to fill the holes and the other 26 guys who were either late Rd draft picks or UDFA's the last few years. Conceivably, the 53 man roster will have 30+ players who are rookies or backups. I don't see how there is any way this team is better next year. And no future coach or GM is going to want to keep Tua. They arent designing an entire offense to make one player look good. The Saints played the cap game for alot of years. Brees left and they eventually ended as a 4 win team. We are headed there. The glass is half empty

    I honestly dont understand the point of videos about Tua's contract at this point. When we have a high school level o-line, disappearing running game, and defense that routinely folds in the second half. Those are not problems that will be solved by speculating about whether we can move on from Tua in 1 or 2 years. We need to be looking at restructuring THOSE positions. How do we move on from Jaelen Phillips, who has been out for most of the last two seasons? How do we solve our Cornerback problems? Why in the hell did we let Van Ginkle go? How are we going to replace Armstead?

    • @kevinmarrero5013

      Paul is solid and will replace armstead what you need to focus on is drafting two guards a rb similar or close to Derrick Henry and try to get to d line man coner and safety is not that important because every team in the nfl except Chris Grier know if you have a great d line that can get pressure they can make the Conner look better but if you have great corners their no way they will make the d line look better

Ive been rooting for this team for more than 30 years. I want a plan. Not more bullshit. Give me a plan for how we are better at QB than we are right now. The sooner you move on from Tua and address the shortcomings on the roster, the better off this organization will be however because they won't, we will continue to see bandaid solutions being applied and we waste years like how we did when had Tannehill. Then eventually the coach and GM will get fired and the cycle starts all over again...

    We should’ve never give Tua the extension and I remember when Doug was begging for the dolphins to give him one but imo I would’ve waited and then see if you can draft his replacement this year if we traded up but that won’t happen anymore. Tua is also the dumbest QB I’ve ever seen if he would slid instead of going head first he would’ve helped us win some games down like the ones we lost. Also Grier is stupid for signing injury prone players to big contracts and also not addressing the OL when the OL has been bad for a long time. Also why did he hire a coach who never called plays in San Fran and could’ve hired a HC who has experience being a HC. What I would do is draft a QB like Dart or McCord and then if Tua gets injured have the rookie start or sign a Vet and when tua leaves next season then have the new GM and new HC decide weather this QB the old regime brought is good for their system or not and just this year and next year to mostly focus on OL and DL in the first 2 rounds and the same goes for FA. Mike is not a good HC because his teams are undisciplined and not prepared when facing good teams and don’t do well in cold weather games and mike does bad play calling in certain situations and some of the blame is on Tua too and how the OL can’t block for dear lives. So the only way we get better and get out of the current situation is fire Grier and Mike after 25 seasons, get rid of Tua after the 25 season, keep weaver as DC and then start all over at QB and the OL and rebuild.

    They should’ve let him play out the last year of his contract like they did Javon. Now your fked If you trade him you would eat so much dead cap.

    Cut him tomorrow, get rid of hill for picks. Get rid of waddle for anything, he’s worthless. Same w Chubb and Ramsey. Fire McDaniel yesterday, fire Grier 6 years ago when he drafted Tua.
    Rebuild w an actual GM and coach.

    Trade Tua for a 2025 draft pick
    Trade reek to Atlanta for RG Chris and 2025 3rd and 7th Rd pick!
    Trade Bradley Chubb Anthony Walker Jr 2026 2nd Rd and 4th for Eagles Jordan Davis and Darius Slay!
    Trade 2025 1n2, 2026 1st Rd picks, and Wynn for Houston LT Tunsil and 2025 5th Rd pick!
    Waddle number 1WR Achane can line up at wr or Malik and we go double tight we got 3 rb's that are good the new oline will open up massive wholes if we do this we
    Resign Calais Ogbah and Jonnu.
    Free agency sign TE MIKE GESICKI LB REDDICK A STARTING GUARD. QB'S WINSTON AND FIELDS no starter both swap in and out give them both a 2year deal draft a future QB now to be 4th string behind Snoop just to be there getting ready.
    We may open a couple dollars n cap if y'all got a big time free agent u want but these are things we need now!

  • @toddweaver2704
    @toddweaver2704 14 дней назад

    The good is we are not depending on this draft for a franchise qb, we are locked into Tua and his sourounding group the next two years, think that was always the plan, (its a done deal we are rolling with that, the man who writes the checks pretty much has said so by writing the checks).
    The bad we have an injury prone qb who everyone is telling, be safe be safe be safe dont risk being great for sake of getting another concussion, when we should bring in a vet qb who insures if our qb gets hurt being great can give us a chance. We need to be great day in and day out that means you cant be safe. Its the NFL everyone on the field is great.
    Time to talk about who we are looking at or want to look at for o-line three most important decisions of the off season the guys we are going to get to buy our complicated offense two more seconds and create our super forcefield to cuddle our qb.
    Second most important thing we should be talking about is who is going to be brought in to fix FS/CB. I know its January but Tua is not the story.
    Third story is how are we going to fix the coaches tendacy to over think play calling.
