Congratulations on your latest book. I appreciate how you have adapted and embraced camera instruction from film camera to modern technology and future features. The last camera I purchased was the Sony A7 iii but also enjoy shooting and keeping in good service my collection of vintage (20+) Minolta cameras. Thanks for the great content.
Hey pal, good to see you! Great video as usual, perhaps I'll upgrade my camera at some point, I do shoot a ton of video so some of this would be useful!
wow, so early yt only offers 360p :D I recommend leaving the video on private till 1080p or better is available. Highlight metering isnt really new, the a7III also has it. The screen reader is just one of the "what the heck sony" moments. The one thing i really hate about the digital zoom is the limitation of the autofocus. I have full af capabilitys in apsc mode so why not in digital zoom too?
Good advice. The video is actually 4K so I'll wait until morning to make it public again. Thanks for the input. And you're right about everything else - in fact I never understood why phase detect AF goes out the window when digital zoom is engaged.
@@FriedmanArchives Weird. The other headphones I've tried I know are flawless and are barely used so not headphone issue, maybe my pc is the issue. but this is extreme. Maybe a frequency you can't hear, maybe my pc is the issue. it was in both ear cups on both headphones, and only on that section.
There are not only blind people, many are considered "blind" but still can see alot, or cant read / are very farsighted etc... THATS where this feature is golden. (Check yt and look it up, there is actually one "blind" photographer talking about it).

You always have the best camera videos, Gary! I always go to your channel for the "missing manual" on Sony and other cameras.
Thanks for the kind words!

Excellent video..that smooth skin section was a killer..I did laugh.
7:24 Some are dyslexic, so the letters get shuffled, some can't read, so this would be useful for them.

Aloha Mr. Friedman awesome film thank you very much for sharing. Very useful. Aloha🤙🏾
Great video Gary, thank you! Do you have any sample excerpts from the book that I can check out?
No, but I do offer a 2-week money-back guarantee to all who purchase the .pdf file from my website. (That's WAY better than an excerpt!) GF
@@FriedmanArchives TY!
9:11 WARNING EAR TORTURE BEEPING NOISE! It's definitely not my headphones, I've two, same noise on both, it's unbearable.
Just listened to it. Sounds OK on my end.

@@FriedmanArchives It's kind of like exploding grenade effect you hear in movies and fps games. Or when there's some signal issues on a microphone.

Yes, I talk about it in the book (and also how far the firmware update goes in addressing it).
