A handsome piece that seems well made! in certain lights it almost looks like a mother of pearl dial under your studio lights at an angle. First time I have ever seen this Seiko movement...Almost looks PVD coated. I like that kit too. Wish we had clubs like that in South Africa!
Agree mate and I love the movement too, its sort of a pvd look but not as dark. I wish seiko did it for more of their movements as it looks way cooler than the steel ones. Thanks very much for watching
Great review. Watch looks great and the finish looks excellent too. A lot of thought went into the design and that makes it a value proposition with the CW for sure. Rubber looks OK, but at the end if the day, it's how it really feels that counts.
I really thought the watch would overpower your wrist Wes but it looks to wear extremely well. Good looking piece and the quality is excellent. Great review buddy.
This is a beautiful watch as most of their designs are! And once you're done assembling the watch you still have a lot of handy watch tools left. So far I didn't get one of their kits, I'm just too afraid of messing it up, especially when it comes to applying the hands! 😬
100% mate, that's why they were awesome enough to do it for me. I do want to give it a proper good go, just barely have any free time at the moment. Appreciate the support mate
Interesting case design, nice straps too, but a Casio Duro is my alternative to this one, unless they change the design a bit but, hands down the DIY is more wearable than Duro!
A casio duro would be a great alternative, this just steps up the quality a lot over than, then again its way more expensive. Thanks for watching mate. And happy new year.
Speaking of DIY, recently I done a small mod on my budget Chinese watch,I switch the normal quartz movement to a Chinese version of sweeping quartz movement (it moves like the Seiko VH31 movement) it gives me a tough time for installing back the secs hand because I don't have a proper tool to install the hands but I done it~ So I am thinking, will you do another DIY project for a video? (When you got the time of course)
That sounds awesome, I do like a good sweeping quartz. Hopefully I will. I'll probably stick to digital though as they're much less of a headache and don't take as long. Thanks for watching mate. Have a good one.
Tell you what Wes, you keep that and I will hold on to my CW Sapphire. Cheers mate
I get your point mate, I'd love one money permitting but this is a solid alternative for those on a budget. Have a good one
